each presidential elections spent millions in their campaign, I don't think they want the results manipulated, can you name those countries.
The very country i come from and for reasons best known to me I wouldn't mention her name here, election results are still well and truly manipulated in my country in favor of the incumbent government, most times majority opinion or votes is simply a waste of time.

I've placed bet on election outcomes before, but it wasn't in an online store, it was in a physical betting house in my area of residence, i find it fun to place bets on the outcome of elections though it doesn't always come often as election holds most times every four years(in most countries), and only elections of top countries are up for a bet.

Politics seems predictable most of the time but looks like few people actually bet on it. Example, you know Joe Bidden has probably 50% chance of winning the Democrats primary. What stops you from picking and betting on that? Do you bet on politics and what are your winning stats.

Some time around October 2016 after the Access Hollywood tape was released, a certain betting site gave 108 to Trump winning the election. I believed strongly that Trump was going to win despite everything thrown at him. I had $5,000 and wanted to pick the odd. Somehow, I didn't follow through. That could have given me over half a million dollars in winning.

How often do you bet on Politics? Any reason why most people don't really bet on Politics? Do you know any trusted betting site that offers good odds in American Politics?
I like politics because it is full of different arguments and ideas, not only that but unites all groups. I like reading political news, I just found out if there are gambling sites about politics that can earn money.

I myself just found out if there are betting sites in politics, usually I only play games and invest it to earn dollars. I personally do not like politics because it is too complicated and a variety of different understandings.

I also want to bet especially for presidential elections for every country (I don't know if a particular website will include all countries presidential elections)
Every country?! I don't know where you base but you do know that some countries presidential elections are very much manipulated? Right? if you want to really bet on politics, it's best you do it for the country that has high transparency during election.
And don't just conclude that betting in politics in less risky cause politics this days is messed up. Systems are been manipulated nowadays just for personal gain.

I personally won't even put my money on it.

I'm surprised that there are still countries that can manipulate presidential election results, we are in an age of technology, very few countries are doing manual recount because it will take months to finish the counting, each presidential elections spent millions in their campaign, I don't think they want the results manipulated, can you name those countries.

I came here because the title is the topic that makes me curious.
I never bet on politics, I'm really confused about how to bet on politics

How does political betting work?
Are there really sites that provide political bets?
Are there any special countries related to this (politics)

I want to know about political gambling, can this really be profitable?
l known countries all over the world. I am sure if I talked about my country, there are some people that have not heard of the name in years, and it will be hard for such people to win on political gambling.

This is the first time I don’t think bets on politics would be common online because no matter how current a gambler may be, it's difficult to know everything happening around the world and if at all it is online, the only countries involved will be American or China because this are well I am getting to know about politics gambling.

I believe only those who are vast, exposed and current win be able to do well in this aspect and I am obviously not fit for this.

Anyone here already tried to use Bitcoin on betting politics? It is really much appreciated if a particular gambling website accepts Bitcoin or any cryptocurrencies.
(.....)
I tried to search for sportsbet, but this another sportsbet came out, and i was surprise they have the odds already.
I don't know if the site is legit or not, but you can check it out if you like, here's the link
https://www.sportsbet.com.au/betting/politics/us-politics
Yep, this is really different sportsbet from sportsbet.io that is accepting cryptocurrencies. I also searching gambling websites that are accepting cryptocurrencies that are catering bets on Politics.
But maybe it will soon available on some gambling websites that accepting cryptocurrencies as a particular election is fast approaching? Like months or weeks before the election, they will start adding and start to provides odds.
We can expect next year by January maybe, because according to the link I shared, the election will be 3/11/2020, so if that line will be live in January, there's still more than 2 months to bet, but it's possible to be live early since the more earlier they accept bet, the higher bets they will get.

Since it's already available in a certain betting site, I'm pretty sure soon, we will see it in our favorite crypto sportsbook.

I am already aware on those kinds of manipulation as I also stated it on the second page of the thread:
(.....)
For example, Presidential elections of every country, anyone already experienced like this? Where you can bet online and tried to use Bitcoin to bet? I'm just afraid of this especially in a different country because vote manipulation is really easy to use especially when those candidates have the power to do it. (....)
I am not telling that I will bet on every country, what I want to say is gambling websites that are offering some bets for every country so that I can select which country I want to bet especially on Presidential elections and every election on different countries are not the same day is happening, it is still much better so that we can still analyze the upcoming election for particular country you want to bet in.

If we can find a gambling site that offers political betting, I still think people will not participate because politics as you say, it is a very complicated matter, involving many factors in it, and not everyone likes to find information on such sensitive issues. And this may be the reason why there are no political betting sites, it's not popular, people just like focusing on sports betting, because most gamblers are men, and men always like sports, they have certain knowledge, more or less they will still have a chance to win
I am certain that there are people who will bet on this kind of event if this will be offered online, I for one will bet if there is.

I think the odds will be somewhat the same with boxing as we got to know who got the upper hand or the favorite to win. In our country, there is this survey with little percentage of error and you can rely on that one to be the bases of your bet. It is easier to predict on who will win the presidential election here in the Philippines so i don't think online bookies will bite on this one. I just don't know how things work out in the US.

i dont ever tried to bet on politics because i dont see any popular betting site that offers this kind of betting game  . i think this was the only reason on why most people dont do politics bets  .

also  , betting on politics wont be easy as what you think because some  politicians can still win even if they are not really strong enough on the publics eye but as long as they have alot of budget they can just use it to do a pay per vote campaign  like giving people a money to vote for him  .

Bets on politics are rarely on gambling sites only when there is an election by a country. I am not interested in betting on that but betting on politics looks profitable because it only bet on the money line. It would be easy to predict if the election was in your country.

Is their really betting on politics? As far as I know there’s no betting when it comes to politics well atleast in our place, yes it is true that politics can be predictable at times but not all the time and regardless if it’s predictable or not I find it very odd betting on politicians. I can bet on sports or some other games but betting on politicians is out of the list.
That’s just your opinion though. For me, I enjoy any kind of gambling as long as there is hope of me making money from it because every gambling game is full of risk even the sports you talk about is even more risky. Is it not better for you to try and loose than not trying at all?

In my opinion, politics gambling is even easier than sports, with politics, you can easily know about the two opponents and predicts whose personality is more accepted and loved by citizens, this can to a great extent determine who would be the winner but this is not the case with sports. You can never know so much about a team to be able to vouch and bet confidently, on sports we only bet based on our  favorite teams or players.

I think sportsbet have lines available for this, especially for the US election since it's very this is a big event and for sure a lot of people will bet on it.
Next time when there is a presidential election in the US, we can check if the line is available but I'm pretty sure they have that before.

Betting on politics I think is a much lesser risk if you only analyze and gather data (especially surveys), just to remember, even you bet in politics or sports, the risk is still there so if you are afraid, then don't bet a large amount of money you earned, that's all.

I have least interest in politics. I consider politics a toxic issue. But it sounds like politics betting is interesting. It is better if people will only treat politics as a way to gamble. That is a fun way of looking at it because, to be honest, politics is nothing but a systematic and constitutional game for the elites and their puppets to fight it out for a few positions. So we better treat it like betting on a horse race.
Politics is really like gambling you are betting with the fate of your country and knowing who's getting the edge and who's behind them will give a good advantage if you will going to bet on an actual betting sites, it's still unpredictable since it can also be manipulated by those dark horses behind it, politics doesn't have real assurance indeed but you can call it as gambling whether you place a bet it not.

Taking gambling in its broader sense, politics is indeed gambling. The only difference perhaps is that, with politics, the stakes are too high. The future of the country, the welfare of the people, the whole national economy, etc are what is at stake.

But I think the betting sites find it a little bit awkward. This must be the reason why politics betting is not found in most, if not all, of the major betting sites. On the other hand, I assume there will be a huge inflow of bets with politics. Everybody is somehow involved in it. Moreover, many supporters of political candidates do not easily change views. Most stick to their candidates all the way out.

Well, I did not try to gamble about politics online because this idea did not come up in my mind, well, I also which online site offer such that stuff. I want to try but maybe for the next election in my country. Because I tried to gamble in politics before to bet together with my friends but unfortunately I have lost my 1-week salary on this but at least I enjoy that give thrill and happiness for a while.
Does it really give some thrill? Risking out your 1 week salary sounds too much for a politics betting and this is the reason why i dont have any interest
on such kind of gamble. Politic selection would really be affected by politics itself which we wont know on whose gonna be elected. Its not literally different to other
gambling but i dont really feel on putting up money on this one.

I do not bet often on politics, I majorly follow that of my country, Nigeria and other African Nations. Corruption is prevalent in most of the electioneering processes, and the best bet is rarely the best fit for the position.
I also find it morally wrong to canvass for a certain candidate and bet on another, so I'd sit it out.
If you consider that wrong, then you should not gamble at all also because gambling on its own is an immoral act. There are a lot of religion and beliefs that is against gambling but greed and the love of money has blindfolded players.

How do people keep on playing and losing a game but yet won’t give up, and to imagine they spend money is what baffles me the most. I believe there are so many things the money could be used for. I don’t gamble at all, be it on sport sites or politics, as long as it involves risk and money, then count me out. I prefer to trade or invest in bitcoin than to gamble but to be honest, the corruption that surrounds elections is really high especially in the African rejoin.
