Betting on politics especially on elections seems like you're not taking it seriously. (For me only, I don't know the others). Since you still have time to bet for it instead of taking it seriously since they're the one who'll lead your country.
And regardless of who'll win, there's always vote rigging happening in my country that's why it's still sucks

I do not bet often on politics, I majorly follow that of my country, Nigeria and other African Nations. Corruption is prevalent in most of the electioneering processes, and the best bet is rarely the best fit for the position.
I also find it morally wrong to canvass for a certain candidate and bet on another, so I'd sit it out.

Politics seems predictable most of the time but looks like few people actually bet on it. Example, you know Joe Bidden has probably 50% chance of winning the Democrats primary. What stops you from picking and betting on that? Do you bet on politics and what are your winning stats.

Some time around October 2016 after the Access Hollywood tape was released, a certain betting site gave 108 to Trump winning the election. I believed strongly that Trump was going to win despite everything thrown at him. I had $5,000 and wanted to pick the odd. Somehow, I didn't follow through. That could have given me over half a million dollars in winning.

How often do you bet on Politics? Any reason why most people don't really bet on Politics? Do you know any trusted betting site that offers good odds in American Politics?

Some betting sites offer that kind of features when there is an election from the US, but I won't bet on that I'm not an American I don't have a pulse on their election because they have a different voting system compare to us, they vote by regions, not on the number of people that voted them.

I remember there is a gambling site that offers on this kind of betting in politics who gonna win after the election, it seems so unpredictable but this is very fun because it gives a thrill especially if the result is near to happen. I saw this kind of betting feature before on OneHash gambling site but I did not bet due to I am afraid because I did not know the situation with it comes to US elections, so I am not going to relate.

Only once, it was few years ago when Obama was still the president I remember Trump and Hillary are the only ones who had the most favored odds. I chose trump over Hillary because of some youtube videos about which of them are the lesser evil.

I never bet on Politics. Voting for these politicians alone is already a gamble so I do not see the reason why I should still put some money on them. There are already many things to gamble on and adding Politics is just silly.
It depends on the event, sometimes they are predictable if you follow politics. When directbet was still up wetsuit had a huge bet on trump to be the next president.

I agree with you @Alle14, politic or political events are highly predictable though i have never gamble on any political event. With campaign leading to an election we can easily predict who is going to win unlike dice, binary option and lottery that are highly unpredictable.
The probability of finding the answer is more in sportbetting because we only have sew options to choose from but it doesn't going to increase our winning factor and I believe lot of unpredictable results were came after the election all over the world in the recent years.

Bets on politics are rarely on gambling sites only when there is an election by a country. I am not interested in betting on that but betting on politics looks profitable because it only bet on the money line. It would be easy to predict if the election was in your country.

Is their really betting on politics? As far as I know there’s no betting when it comes to politics well atleast in our place,
Same here thy Politics are not part of gambling And I never heard anyone close to mine made a bet if whos gonna win the election and for me it’s not really appropriate that even the election gonna be involving betting as there’s already so many gambling around the place
Quote
yes it is true that politics can be predictable at times
That’s why it was called prediction meaning nothings assured but may happen or not
Quote
but not all the time and regardless if it’s predictable or not I find it very odd betting on politicians. I can bet on sports or some other games but betting on politicians is out of the list.
Well if this case turns to be a popularity gambling scene I bet you will take chance as well 🙂

I remember trying to bet on DirectBet.eu with all politics. I was surprised that there is something related to anything with that in gambling. I wagered some of my BTC with voting on the US President, and I lost because I thought it was Clinton who is going to win.

I liked DirectBet but sad It is gone. The transaction fees will eat Your BTC now though. Lol.

This was recently taking over the front pages of the popular bitcoin sportsbook and at first I had thought it be a joke when I saw Donald Trump and Hillary Cinton's names on the betslip. I was both surprised and bewildered but then I understood that the casinos had made a cheeky move by putting in some of our top topics of discussions into a betting game. Well it did push the marketing though so nothing to complain from their side and it was taken up by the players so good for them too.

Honestly I found it not worth my time because unlike sports you cannot predict politics. Sports is different and I think most of you will agree.

I came here because the title is the topic that makes me curious.
I never bet on politics, I'm really confused about how to bet on politics

How does political betting work?
Are there really sites that provide political bets?
Are there any special countries related to this (politics)

I want to know about political gambling, can this really be profitable?
Lol even in any form gambling is a gambling and no one assures anything from this so don’t ask question that answerable by you mate.

I a from Asia but in one occasion me and my two buddies comes to the point that we have different likes in presidential election so we mate a betting but unlucky,I lose the bet

But after that I realize that is it really rightful that we bet for the position who will run our country?my answer is “NO” and that never happens again

I just fad betting on political events and even then only local politics. Indeed, the outcome of political events, regional elections for example, can be highly determined by gamblers. Because usually the bettor will also actively participate in gathering support for the figure he is fighting for. But I have never bet on an international event which to me looks very complicated.

Politics is probably one of the most easy things to predict if you understand it well enough. I think winning a political bet wouldn't be that hard all if you are not part of the "crowds".

I am not that interested in politics nor political bet unfortunately otherwise my local politics esp is quite easy to predict.
The Trump/Clinton election is one of the few difficult ones..even though I supported Trump. I missed few obvious factors because I was overwhelmed by hate back then

I cannot imagine a betting site offering odds on politics. Seriously, is there really one?

The farthest I went as far as I can remember was an informal challenge to someone to bet on who'll win the elections or whether a particular candidate is going to make it on the senate slate or not. But so far, no money is released. Everything was only up to fun challenges without an ounce of seriousness.

I think a bet based on politics is going to be a heated and dirty one. Politics in my country brings division from the macro level down to the micro level. I mean, politics could estrange siblings; it divides families. And worse, there are political killings arising out of it.
Back in 2014 there's a lot of site offers betting on politics such as directbet.eu unfortunately they shut down the business for unknown reason.

These days i only know that betmoose is one of trusted one that offers betting on politics , actually you can bet on anything there , cool isn't it?
Anyways the only politics betting that i ever made is on US presidential election in 2016 , luckily i won with quite huge odds .. thanks to cambridge analytica  Grin .

This is very interesting, but I'm not a fan of outside local politics as I don't know them and not interested with them.
I like to experience this with our local politics if possible, but only if the betting sites would display an odds for this, I know there's a betting happening especially in big countries like the USA, those trump days has made a lot of winners due to its very big betting odds.

Maybe next election though, I might change my mind if I see a candidate with a big odds like Trump had during the time he ran for president.

I have never in my life placed a bet on politics. I wanted to bet on Hilary Clinton to win the elections vs Trump a few years ago and we all know how that turned out so it is a good thing that I didn't. For those who like politics and have inside knowledge it can be a good opportunity to make a nice bonus.

I often bet on politics when I’m hundred percent sure of the results, as politics betting is not easy sometimes you get it wrong too, e.g. I had placed my money on May winning Brexit vote but UK stunned me by voting for Brexit. Then I choose Trump to win because Hillary was projected close to Pakistan, and everyone knows that many influential Indians live there so they would vote for Trump who was seen close to India. There’re various reason why people don’t bet on politics, and one of them I believe is lack of time to research the ever changing ground reality during elections period.

This sounds new to me just like the others here. But, I think, even if I have known politics betting before, I won't place any bet. I just find it hard to see who will win because there are negative talks about politicians here and there and I also find politics a dirty game. I cannot see their genuinity. They might just be playing nice because they want to be in the government. Then once they're in, a different side of them shows up. And with "different," I mean "bad and corrupt" side.

I'm just curious about this betting thing about this politics since it is rare for me to see it.

I don't know if it is legal to bet to any political people but i never knew it is possible to bet on them.

This is something that is new to me i guess this is how gambling really is, betting everything from insects fight to politics, you name it.

Betting in politics is mean that you bet on the result of the elections. For example you can bet that Trump will win the elections or not  and same can be bet for your local political parties election in your countries.
Although i do not see this is very much popular among the gambling sites. No gambling site cover the local countries election etc.

I remember way back that OneHash offered this kind of gambling not sure if they are still doing it, betting with it can be much predictable if you have good insight with candidates who are competing the chance to win is much higher if you see the potential of your selected candidate, you can ask support group from the gambling house to open the odd or of they'll going to make this available.
