I cannot imagine a betting site offering odds on politics. Seriously, is there really one?

The farthest I went as far as I can remember was an informal challenge to someone to bet on who'll win the elections or whether a particular candidate is going to make it on the senate slate or not. But so far, no money is released. Everything was only up to fun challenges without an ounce of seriousness.

I think a bet based on politics is going to be a heated and dirty one. Politics in my country brings division from the macro level down to the micro level. I mean, politics could estrange siblings; it divides families. And worse, there are political killings arising out of it.

I don't like betting on Politics. Campaign periods are already nasty for me and joining the bets would only add flare to that.

I wonder if Public Relations of different political camps also bets on these sites.

Politics seems predictable most of the time but looks like few people actually bet on it. Example, you know Joe Bidden has probably 50% chance of winning the Democrats primary. What stops you from picking and betting on that? Do you bet on politics and what are your winning stats.

Some time around October 2016 after the Access Hollywood tape was released, a certain betting site gave 108 to Trump winning the election. I believed strongly that Trump was going to win despite everything thrown at him. I had $5,000 and wanted to pick the odd. Somehow, I didn't follow through. That could have given me over half a million dollars in winning.

How often do you bet on Politics? Any reason why most people don't really bet on Politics? Do you know any trusted betting site that offers good odds in American Politics?

this is new to me, I've never seen or heard betting on political candidates. and I also agree that politics is incredibly predictable and almost anyone can tell who
will win based of statistics and popularity(since that is what most people based on to choose who'll they vote.).  but as we all know there is always an underdog
who might win but that rarely happens.

Oh really? You can also bet on politics, such as Elections. OMG Shocked
If this can be, can anyone knows what websites can we do this? Just like sportsbook where you can place your bet.

For example, Presidential elections of every country, anyone already experienced like this? Where you can bet online and tried to use Bitcoin to bet? I'm just afraid of this especially in a different country because vote manipulation is really easy to use especially when those candidates have the power to do it. You can't apply your 'luck here for me, right?

Why not although I'm not into it if the betting is an election coming from countries I'm not familiar with, here in our country people already know who will be the winner because surveys are feeding them before the actual election and surprisingly these survey companies always win, so it's not who will win in our election but who will lead in the surveys.

I'm just curious about this betting thing about this politics since it is rare for me to see it.

I don't know if it is legal to bet to any political people but i never knew it is possible to bet on them.

This is something that is new to me i guess this is how gambling really is, betting everything from insects fight to politics, you name it.
but you can't gamble every day about politics, because the presidential elections, district heads, governors and other reasons don't happen every day. Yeah the risk is lower because we know the chance of the candidates to win the ballot. but my question is, which gambling site offers gambling about politics?

I don't bet on politics because I think that will be more complicated. We need to search for more information about each candidate, which will be too difficult to find if we don't have the sources. Besides that, I think in the bets on politics itself, there will be money inside the election so it will change the result to the opposite, and that will make the candidates cannot win.

But I guess that it will be interesting to watch because I think bets on politics become popular nowadays. I suppose that people want to place their bets online. Perhaps, I will try to looks what kind of politics that I can to try to place the bets, and if I think that I can get the information, perhaps, I will try to bets on politics.

I bet on politics rarely. Mainly because elections isn't such often event, like football matches which happens every day. Another reason why I rarely bet on it - I'm not very familiar with political situation, so I don't want to bet blindly just based on odds. Offcourse, elections in big countries like USA, UK, France, Germany might be a good chance to make some money. These countries get lot of exposure in news media and you can get pretty much good impression aboutvsituation in these countries. I made last my bets on politics so far few months ago. It was elections of president in my country. I won it, but odds weren't impressive.
Another thing - on crypto sportsbooks we rarely can find political events, they're not offering it.

It's an extremely interesting bet to be made honestly and some bookies are offering it just for the lulz. There isn't much money pouring on such bets even though the lines are lzucrative and sometimes, huge amounts of profits can be had. The Brexit one perhaps is the last bet I made in politics, although it's already predicted countless of times that we'll be having a No-Deal Brexit, odds at play are still 5x on that obvious outcome alone.

I dunno that betting on politics exceeds their profit on half a million dollars.
I hear rumors about betting on politics but I'm not that interested because of the betting itself manipulating the citizens. Just IMO.
I'm not sure if there was really a betting site for American politics.

Sure they do. I would have pocketed a $535,000 pure profit if I had followed through with my $5,000 bet at 108 Odds. Unfortunately I didn't because I was afraid Obama was gonna out rightly rig the election in favor of Hillary.
Woow. that is big and hope I can make it also but unfortunately, betting politics hasn't existed in our place and I don't want to place my bet in the other country. Sounds like it is rare and I don't know how it is started to have such a betting game.

Maybe it wasn't that profitable since everyone knows who will gonna win because they just have to watch the news and look what's the people's choice. Somehow it might be unfair to some corrupted country who had full control of the media and most of the people are relying only on the news to know more about the politics.

I haven't tried betting on politicians yet but i think it might be some kind of unpopular.

I came here because the title is the topic that makes me curious.
I never bet on politics, I'm really confused about how to bet on politics

How does political betting work?
Are there really sites that provide political bets?
Are there any special countries related to this (politics)

I want to know about political gambling, can this really be profitable?
My guess is that you'll only choose between the two politicians running for president. It's entirely depends on a gambling site on which country is the site owner came from. Yes, there is a gambling site that provides political bets but elections won't always happen and i'm sure you know that same as beauty contest gambling like Miss Universe and other beauty contest. It is profitable if you have won your bet.

Betting on politics is not all that common and besides that excepts on occasion of elections few event can be used to place a bet in politics.
Speaking about election the corruption going on in politics has made it hard because most time the incumbent government  wins

I don't gamble much in terms of politics, but they are considered very much safer than the majority of sports betting happening around the market. We do have a basic understanding of how the political systems happens all over the country and that would be favourable in placing the odds.

UK has been a long term central hub for gambling markets and the Brexit deal would further strengthen the market as a whole. If we are a political gambler, we need to work closely with the population to place better odds which will help us in winning the game of political gambling. People quite often stick with sports and other betting games, since betting on politics require a strong and clear insight on what is currently happening in the country.

Only once, it was few years ago when Obama was still the president I remember Trump and Hillary are the only ones who had the most favored odds. I chose trump over Hillary because of some youtube videos about which of them are the lesser evil.

I never bet on Politics. Voting for these politicians alone is already a gamble so I do not see the reason why I should still put some money on them. There are already many things to gamble on and adding Politics is just silly.
It depends on the event, sometimes they are predictable if you follow politics. When directbet was still up wetsuit had a huge bet on trump to be the next president.

I have bet on the brexit date a while ago at freebitco.in. (only a few satoshis)

I don't usually do it but that's because I don't make too many bets. I wish I made a bet for brexit voting too. I knew they would vote "yes", just like I knew USA would elect Trump. My track record is pretty good for these stuff.
