Havent heard of this kind of thing happening in the developed countries. its a sad thing because it denies the developing countries of the kind of players that can really help them to win world trophies. if you really look at it many of these talented players do come from poor homes which is why some of them move away to where they would be accepted without paying a dime. This country would have imagined how their national team would be with kylian mbappe among them. it shows how much they miss him but its too late.

This was the wired one to be happened in the developed countries, the economy of the developed countries will be the double the value of economy to their people money flow. The players of the developing countries will suffer the lot,So they involved in the match fixing. The football players from the developing countries will not get the chance of the game again and again. The football player from the big economy country will have good exposure to the international game as compared to the players of the developing country.

Actually not only in football because there's a lot of transactions can be made under the table with the different management especially we are talking about a large team so they could possible buy, offer or make a trade to the management just to have this things and for example with this kind of career its a large opportunity to them to take this risk or not, but the consequences is right there if someone really investigate and act to protect the rights to get fair this could be a large issue.
Without a doubt this happens in all sports, but with soccer being the most popular sport around the world then I would guess this is more common there.

It is also very problematic that since soccer is managed by a monopoly called FIFA that this happens at all, I have always thought that soccer will be better of if there was an association which competed against FIFA for good players and resources, but FIFA will never allow it as the control they have over soccer is absolute.

I must state, corruption? It is equivalent to skipping your morning jog and consuming junk food all day while expecting to be fit. People, its a no-brainer. The longer you ignore a problem, the worse it becomes. Similar to those slackers who complain about their lack of fitness but never visit the gym.

Are gifted individuals being shoved aside? Why would you even stay around? Find another court if the playing field is not level here! But allowing the corrupt to continue to play? No, I draw the line at that point. If they want to play dirty, they must be prepared to confront the consequences. Put those corrupt idiots out of the game immediately

And those in authority? They need to stand up! Serve as the leader of the crew. Ensure that every participant is in it for the right reasons by demonstrating moral leadership. Clean the system sprint by sprint. However, what if they dont? Irresponsible of them
That's how corruption is. We may not be able to imagine what kind of corruption has occurred in each country but we all have in common to look for and get opportunities to earn even more money.

Someone with talent in many things cannot get good appreciation from the state because most of them come from poor families, so when they are required to pay money when they want to enter training to develop their talents, they cannot do it because of limited funds. But that wouldn't happen to someone who came from a family that had money because they could pay money to enter the training.

Only by moving to another country that can provide more complete facilities and are willing to accept them for free can they do so that their talents can be further developed.

I've seen corruption's effects on nations. I've seen talent, dreams, and hope wasted. A shame, I tell you. The smartest and brightest of a country must look elsewhere when dishonest authorities waste their potential. That's a response to a failed system, not a decision

Talented people are rare, not numbers. You lose more than potential; you lose the essence of what makes a nation great. It's like a high-stakes poker game when a few cheaters fold the country's winning hand

Eradicating corruption requires more than just finding dishonest people. Trust must be rebuilt. I've always thought that to make a significant difference, you must lead by example. Those officials should go, and we should honor our talented people
The country has lost many people who commit corruption because they have taken everything they can to profit from them. The country is also not progressing any better with corruption that still occurs everywhere so this will not provide room for people with talent to advance the country so that it is even better. They will lose out competing, especially with people with a lot of money to buy the position. But it's better for those talented people to move to another country where their talent is more appreciated so they can show it to the world. Not for the country but for themselves.

Let the people who commit corruption continue to do corruption. If the country does not progress in 5 countries, the people who commit corruption must be blamed and punished as severely as possible to be held accountable. And the state must be able to act decisively against corrupt people to reduce the amount of corruption in the country. But this requires honest people with higher ranks, so there is no pressure to eradicate corruption.

In this way, only then will there be changes in the country so that the level of corruption can be further reduced and even eliminated slowly. But it is still too difficult to eradicate corruption rooted for a long time.

I have also heard of some local stories about how some coaches require money from new footballers before they allow them on trier both in their clubs and national teams. Is this happening globally for new players who are still seeking to find a spot in clubs?

Although I do not have any proof of bribes being taken from the players before they were allowed to play for the clubs or teams, I think we cannot rule out these possibilities, especially at the club level.

Also, this bribe talking is not just from the coaches or higher management, sometimes the players themselves will be willing to give bribes in order to play for a club or team. They do this because of high competition, or else they may be left out and other players may be given a chance. These things do not come out in the media as if this information is leaked, then it will be an embarrassment both for the team and the player.

A player that is not confident in himself will engage in this act, bribery is very common but is not what should be seen happening in football or gambling in general, any coach or player found in this kind of attitude will only disgrace himself and his reputation and loose trust that have been placed upon him, most times people bribe each other due to lack of patients or greediness for money which is a bad habit, it may delay but surely will last if you don't engage in bribery to secure it fast.

It depends on how the attitude of the government in that country is, if there are indeed many corruptors' nests and left unchecked, of course it is difficult to make the country progress, in my country, corruptors are special, even the sentences can be reduced, the punishment is better than motorbike thieves, I think also if the leader in the government is clean, I I am sure that all the institutions under it will be clean, especially in sports institutions, it is very important to promote sports in that country, including football.

Eradicating officials like that requires a leader in the country who is firm because then all other officials will not apply bribery like that, I think we all know that there are countries that are strict and some are not, but if this continues to happen don't expect either sports or football institutions in that country to grow.

When skill in a nation is undervalued, its citizens will inevitably look for better opportunities outside. Whence would they not? A true shame, that. But believe me when I say that if there's one thing I can do, it's identify talent. And when talented people leave your nation to prosper abroad, that's a hugely lost opportunity

The part about corruption? A complete loss. It's comparable to placing a large wager on a hand that you may have won rather than lost. The people are getting a raw deal if the government are really hiding things and engaging in these "invisible games," as you put it. I understand that combating corruption is difficult, but you can't just ignore it and hope for the best. Honesty is a right, and individuals in positions of authority should act in the best interests of the people, not their own
The country will lose more talented people who should be able to provide the best for the country. But if everything doesn't work because there are still people who want to find opportunities to earn money, even from people who don't have money but have talent, the country will regret it because talented people aren't easy to find. Meanwhile, their country already has many talented people but instead, it is being wasted by those corrupt people.

Because of corruption by irresponsible officials, the country has finally lost talented people who should be able to work and provide something that can elevate their country to be on par with other countries. And yes, eradicating corruption is a difficult thing to do because there are already many officials who have committed corruption, making it difficult to trace them. And if more and more talented people move to other countries because irresponsible officials belittle them, it is a fatal mistake made by those officials so they should be dismissed from their positions and not allowed to do anything close.

I definitely agree with you about it. What they are doing is they are already underestimating the newly sprouts that could make their team proud someday and instead of giving them the support and guidance that they needed to mold them and showcase what they are made of or what could they bring for the team, unfortunately, a short change is what they've got. And again, corruption is eating the industry that is why people aren't that convinced because they know what is happening behind the scenes even if they don't have any evidence for it.
They will not see that these new shoots can give the best for their country because they have moved to another country that values their abilities and talents more. The pride is not for the country but for players who have that talent because they have been given the opportunity to present their best to other countries and not their country. If those people can put aside the corruption problem to recruit players with better talents, their country will get more awards and it will have a positive effect on the country because it will open investment opportunities to enter all fields of business.

The general public will not be able to prove matters related to corruption because there is an invisible game of hands by the authorities to protect those who commit corruption. If they showed evidence, they would be in trouble. If that happened, more people would be in trouble too. This corruption has been going on for a long time and is difficult to eradicate.

[....]Do you think Cameroun miss Mbappe or it is Mbappe that missed Cameroun ?
The answer should be obvious.
Mbappe also said Cameroon was calling and giving him citizenship so....

I thought maybe some fake representative is trying to scam them but doesn't seem to be the case. I cannot find any article where officials from the Cameroon Football Federation denying the allegations so it's probably true.
I think this is just a normal charity trip from mbappe, he doesn't miss Cameroon at all, last July, mbappe played in Cameroon's Vent d'Etoudi team and then news like this spread.

Talking about whether new players have to pay bribes to be able to play is actually no longer a secret anymore.  In developing countries, the country's football federations are still prone to corruption and collusion.  Even if you have good talent playing football, they will only allow people with strong families, who played.  fortunately mbappe did not stay in cameroon, he went to france where his life changed drastically and he became a big paid footballer, all that was his way and mbappe was very lucky to find the best path for his future.

It seems, cases like what you said could happen all over the world. however, usually most of these things happen in developing countries. I have another story, there are several local football academies in my country doing almost the same thing as happened in the case you said in this thread. one concrete example, in a football academy there will always be youth players who have talent with great potential to develop. but because they don't have the finances, or in other words don't give compensation money to coaches, managers or staff, the boy player won't be recommended to the first team if he doesn't have something to offer.

Well, there is a difference for the mediocre youth player. with the money his parents had, he was able to enter the main squad even though his talent was mediocre. that's why football in my country has been slow to develop. also, some other technical and non-technical problems.
however the case I am telling you about happened roughly a decade ago, and I hope the current system has changed and each academies highlight and prioritize players who do have talent. referring to what you said, what's happening is not only in Cameroon. maybe, practices like this still exist especially in developing countries.

Unfortunately that happens in world three countries, I didn’t hear stories but i witnessed that one of my family members that player two years for our local football team in third division, when it was time to join Senior team as he was so talented the coach and team responsables asked him to pay some large money to allow him join otherwise they won’t. So I’m very sure that this thing of bribing actually exists everywhere in our countries and that’s why it’s very possible for what happened to Mbapee.
I imagine how many talented players got disappointed and stopped their careers because of this. Since i noticed that foreign player from our country are more successful than here. For example Karim Benzema, Zinedine Zidane and more players from my region wouldn’t get as successful as if they stayed here.
What those people fail to realize is that due to their shortsightedness not only they affect many young talented players, they even affect themselves.

If those talented players were allowed to continue their natural development not only this will increase the overall level of their national team and their local league, this will also bring a lot of investment from inside and outside the country and they will be the first beneficiaries, as they could claim that success as their own, but they are so concentrated on just getting a slice of a small cake they do not realize they could get much more by simply doing nothing.

That is how you lose on a great player like Mbappe when you are a corrupted country like Cameroon and many other African countries lose such star players exactly because of the same reason. Also in many other third countries in the world the same is happening and I think these type of interviews should have much wider visibility so those people who asked for money would be seeing how big these players become and stop doing it.I know that it is much more difficult to achieve because we are talking about poor countries but these poor countries should start to think bigger for themselves. It would be nice to see such a player playing for Cameroon, not that I don't like seeing him play with France.

Yeah this type of stories happen in third world countries and they lose valuable players who want to give all to the club or national team. The thread is bad. When you place money first in whatever you want to do then the best will elude you. This is appalling and the reason that third world countries struggle in football especially countries from Africa.

Those at the tops only care about their own immediate financial benefit and not care where the player gets to tomorrow with the myopic thinking that they have benefited from the player. I will still blame the government when it comes to corruption.
Yes. Whatever the attitude of these coaches, it will still reflect back on what type of government does this country had. The corruption is worst that will eventually lead to the deprivation of opportunities for some great players to be part of the team which for me is a sad reality. Not just in football but I also think this is also true with  some ball games. If you can’t give a bribe in the first place, maybe you will lost your slot in no time. And obviously, the team will also lose promising players in return.
