There are lot of players who are talented. But not all players are lucky. You have to be talented as well as lucky to play for the big teams. Only 11 players can play in a team, but there are plenty of talented players, so all cannot make into the team. This advantage is being taken by the coaches or the player hiring team. They ask for money in order to select the player to play in the team. This happening with almost all types of games. Sad thing we can’t do anything about it. Now regarding Mbappe story, then yes the club which asked him money made the losses by not selecting him on the basis of his skills.
Exactly what I said. People are assuming the good in everyone as if they aren't capable of doing shitty things. I've had a little interaction with someone within this thread about it too, saying that I shouldn't assume this happens in other sports cause no confirmation was made, when this couldn't be farther from the truth. The fact that people are capable of red-taping sports and giving other people unequal advantage over money is enough of an evidence to assume that this is something that happens with every sports.

Anywho, you're right, you also have to be really lucky if you want to make it into competitive athleticism especially football. Everyone can kick the ball into the net. Everyone can be talented at it, but only a lucky few would be given the chance to get paid millions of dollars for kicking it.

And that's what happens in a sport that has people who are corrupt, including in determining who can join the association. They are the ones who decide, and the players allowed to play have to pay a certain amount to become a player in their country's team. This shouldn't be happening because it would take away the opportunity for talented players who don't have the money to get into the team. It is difficult to eradicate people who have abused their power just for the sake of money, which is the people's money. Such people should be severely punished and not allowed to hold any power anymore and may have to be jailed for some time.
That is how it should be but unfortunately this is very rarely the case, and this is because FIFA wants to silence all of those incidents as soon as they happen, the only reason they could not do so here is because we are talking about the player that is probably at the top of soccer at the moment.

However just like this story there should be tens of thousands all over the world, and those players either did not had the courage to come forward or they were bribed on return by FIFA so they never talked about their experiences.

If they goes silent and let this corruption still happening on their team then this anomaly will not stop then continue to happen to other players. But if someone will step up to put an end on this illegal activities then for sure this will be eliminated easily knowing that to many media outlets are seeking for big scoop and might this will be a good story for them to expose then penalize those officials who will do such corruptions on their teams. This is really a rare case and so far I didn't see any cases or featured by mainstream media about this issue, so maybe this is commonly happen on unpopular leagues.

It is always good to leave for the best of things, in a country where the authorities have good honesty and good ethics it is possible to do it, in third world countries things look different, those who do this type of act are generally The big mafias and those mafias with their money are capable of buying anyone, and the mechanism they use is the threat, a player who is told that he has to accept a certain amount of money, but who makes his team lose or win or whatever, and if they refuse, well, they will kill all their family and friends little by little and they will see how it is fulfilled, the player being the last, that is a chaos that happens a lot, at least in Colombia I know that It is like this, for example, the case of a Colombian defensive player when he was in the USA1994 World Cup, the player scored an own goal and that made Colombia lose, after that Colombia was eliminated and they left the World Cup, then the players arrived. to Colombia, the player did not last very long, because they searched for him and killed him, it is said that it was the mafia, perhaps the men who were in charge after Pablo Escobar, everything points to that type of Mafias.

So sometimes in Fútbol the Mafias in the third world of Dfucino are like this, that's why when they play in the local leagues it's something dangerous, because the good bets move at a high level and there's a lot of money , and well that's where All these Dangers will enter, in which a Player is always from these parts of the world, because he always looks for a player to play in Europe , which is where there is more security and tranquility, and the players from here on these sides always look to live in Europe or USA where it is more difficult for these organisms to reach, however they have a lot of intelligence, counterintelligence, all that is what they do, for that Reason it is sometimes difficult to denounce the authorities, I do not know how this type of thing is handled in Europe I don't know who will be worse, but here is just a sample , that's why being a professional footballer here you have to deal with those things.

It's not only about a single foundation or an organization but it happens in almost every sport all around the world which is very unfortunate but there is nothing that can be done as long as the government of a country doesn't take any action against such organizations and remove those who are corrupt to the core and are becoming the reason for talented players leaving the country only for the sake of playing the game they love playing and wants to play on a big stage.

You can often find people from different countries playing for other countries, there can only be two reasons for that, either they have migrated to that country and then joined the game or they moved to another country just because they were not getting any opportunities in their own country.

Yes... that's how someone will live in a place where he can be respected. And changing nationality is not a bad decision rather than having to bury the ideals that he dreamed of long ago. And a country losing a talented athlete is a consequence that must be accepted because the government in that country is unable to eradicate corruption.

There are sympathizers of mass organizations who reveal and shout about corruption cases, most of them do not last long not only because there is a strong hand in front of them but they also become silent when they are given some money. Like dogs that bark and when given a bone by their master they will be silent. Corruption is too strong and deep-rooted to be difficult to eradicate.
It is better to change nationality, which can further support him in developing his talent than to stay in his country where he cannot develop his talent. This is not a bad thing to do, and if anyone questions him, he can tell the truth that someone asked him for money when he wanted to join his country's national team. It would become a hot news topic in his country, and the people who cared about him would look for those who had tried to blackmail him.

But we know corruption is deeply rooted in the government, making it difficult to eradicate. And we can only let it be like that because we are sure of their power. And even though they are retired, they are still not touched by the law because their other friends protect them.

Obviously, those who did that wouldn't let this go public because that could widen the investigation against them and put them in danger. Those players didn't dare to go against people who had more power than those who were just players or ordinary citizens who didn't have any power. But they may have the option of moving to another country that is more supportive of their career so that they can play in another country's national team after changing citizenship. Yes, this story may have been around for a long time, but because of the many obstacles preventing it from being released to the public, people needed to learn more about it. Even the government doesn't give much appreciation to athletes who have contributed a lot to bring their country's name to international matches but just let it go when the athlete has retired from sports.

Corruption is always present in every aspect, also inseparable from the world of sports. This is often encountered and cannot be avoided where people who have skills and abilities lose to people who have money. It's also been rooted a long time ago, so it's very hard to get rid of. So it's true as you said to overcome this problem by carrying out a major overhaul from the ground up to clean up corrupt people and close the loopholes for corruption.

It is this reputation that causes everyone to want to be at the highest peak in football so that they justify any means to achieve it, including by committing acts of corruption. So this can hinder people who are talented in soccer but don't have enough money to get into it.
I believe in this case of Mbappé, corruption didn't have a negative consequence after all, at least for him and for France national soccer. The negative impact felt entirely over the corrupt agent who tried to get money from Mbappé's father, consequently losing the best soccer player Cameroon could have on its currently generation of athletes. It was totally deserved and there is nothing to complain about it.

I would feel troubled about the case only if the action of the corrupt agent had stopped Mbappé from reaching further on his career. Thankfully that is not the case.
Even so, the act of corruption is still wrong and must be avoided and cannot be justified for whatever reason.

That's why we may often witness someone talented lose the opportunity to show his talent to the people of his country. And this makes those talented people look elsewhere and move to another country where there is more respect for his talent he can do it. And when that happens, the country has lost a valuable asset that the country should be proud of.

Corruption is a long-standing problem in many countries and is difficult to eradicate. Moreover, this corruption occurs from the lowest level to the top. When there are organizations that want to uncover corruption cases, they will stop because there is a strong hand protecting people who commit corruption. This dilemma will probably continue for all time and is difficult to eradicate.

The football is the short game, the player will get retired before the age of 32 mostly. So the most of the good players get into the bribe to fix the game, they also allow the corruption.Once the player was found guilty and he had a chance of penalty of some years of no matches with some money as fine. The country itself start to hurt the player after he found in the fixing.Mostly the head of board will fire him without announcing to the media. This is to help the player to get away with no red hand and for the safety of committee name. The level of the corruption was in all the level of the team.Even some coach or manager get corrupted by selecting the team for the match and it was worst part of the football match fixing.

Things like these can barely vanish forever, even if the current people are found, punished, removed from their positions, and new people are hired in their place, someday in the future, the same thing will start happening again because greed doesn't leave human at all, and it's only some people who can actually control their greed but those who see they have some power and can do certain things, they will barely have any control and they do things like these.

And they don't really care about their country at all, all they care about is their own selves and their bank balance, so they don't think it through that if they reject a good player, that player might go to another country and play from there and become a precious asset for that country which could happen with their own country but only didn't because some scoundrel wanted to get money out of him.
That's because everything is too deep-rooted and done long ago. This can only be done if there is a total overhaul of the association from the bottom to the highest and all are replaced by new employees who are experienced in their respective fields. But even so, there is still an opportunity to do that because corruption and illegal things cannot be eliminated easily.

They only think about how they can get much money from doing that. Even if they can accept talented players, they will also receive prizes not only from the government but also from the community will give something to them. Apart from that, the players who got the chance to play will not forget their services for having chosen them to join the team that defended their country.

An interesting story and I think that there is nothing new here - this is the norm for backward corrupted countries. Involvement in the national team of the country can give a good boost to the career of a young player, so this opportunity is monetized in backward countries. Many talented football players because of this do not have the opportunity to show themselves. It's good that in the case of Mbappe, everything turned out in favor of the player.
It's not really a loss for the player as they are surely going to reach somewhere no one would have imagined if they are talented and has enough dedication towards their passion, but it's definitely a loss for that country and that nation because if such things don't happen, they would have a lot of talented people in their national teams instead of those who are added by reference of people in power, and this doesn't happen only in football but in every single sport.

I know a lot of people from my home town who are cricketers and they have been playing for years and are extremely talented. They say that they went for trials for getting into the national team, and they passed the tests taken by the experts, but later they were asked to pay money which they couldn't do so they were rejected.

But when a really great player becomes a core player and can provide a great opportunity for a club to win a match, then there is no need for bribes to be able to play because the coach will definitely put him in the position he plays so can end the match with a win.
Even though there are several clubs that do things like that to be able to play their players, not all of them and big clubs certainly won't do something like that because what big clubs achieve is not about money but wins and titles.

Speaking of bad luck, Mbappe actually didn't play for a while of the problems that happened, so we can't say it's a financial problem.

This is happening throughout the world. Very few use their power in the right way and give respect whereas the majority are arrogant and corrupt. To overcome all the political and other discrimination is really big pressure for the players. When the senior official is corrupt, it means the selection won't happen in the right way and the wrong person will get opportunity to represent the team/club/nation or whatever. With each and everyonen this money will be collected and shared among them on different proportions. Another form of corruption that is happening around is the Nepotism. All this needs to change and the able one need to be chosen.
That causes a lack of opportunities for talented people who should be able to give the best for their country. They are always hindered by the complicated bureaucracy and money matters that must exist to get help from people who have power in their fields, in this case, in sports. Those corrupt senior officials can also easily abuse their power for their own interests without fear of being punished because they are protected by officers who have higher powers. This is difficult to eradicate because it has become a habit, so changing it requires many things, including having more honest officers.

~snip~
Its obvious that you're troubled by some long-standing, core issues, man. You see a thorough demolition and reconstruction as your only option. Major changes, new personnel, and reorganised policies. Yes, I do recognise that... but does that truly address the issue at hand?

Just imagine we've done a complete 180 and decided to start again with a whole new team. But who's to say we wont end up creating entirely new issues? Not to mention all the wrongdoing? Difficult to squish. Its a lot of work, man. There is no easy way out of this predicament.

What about the athletes being showered with praise and rewards? Everyone appreciates being recognised for a job well done, right? We'd all like to get a little something, right? But again, thats not where the trouble lies, is it?
Indeed, that is not where the problem lies because solving the problem requires a lot of effort and will. Meanwhile, we have lost more talented people in many fields, which has caused many of these fields not to be more advanced than before.

This is indeed too difficult to resolve because it involves many interests behind it, so, likely, this will still be around for the next few years. At least until those in power retire, but if the same people replace them with the same will as the previous ones, this will always be ongoing.

It is true that was the way playing for a national team was seen on the past, but I think that slowly this is changing, soccer players are realizing that they are basically playing for free while their national soccer associations are getting rich through their hard work, and now there are many players that are not happy with this.

So it would not surprise me if during the next years we saw a change of posture by some players and simply they decided to disregard their national team and instead concentrate themselves on their clubs, after all they are the ones that actually pay them and it is their performance there that can actually get them a better pay down the line.

In many countries there are similar schemes when in order to advance in a career a person must pay a certain amount of money is quite usual practice, because corruption, politics also affects sports as well as all other spheres of our life. I heard that in my country even to be hired as a police officer in a good department, you have to pay money to the management. Otherwise you can spend your whole life working at the lowest position and patrolling the streets on foot.
It has happened in many countries where to get promoted, one has to pay bribes to officials with higher positions. Otherwise, they will remain in their position until they retire unless there is a central person who really cares about his subordinates and can evaluate the performance of subordinate employees properly so that person can be promoted without having to pay bribes. Stories like that are no longer a secret because many already know about it. This case is never finished because it involves officials from the lowest to the highest levels. And if this also happens in sports, we won't be surprised because it also happens in other places.
This is happening throughout the world. Very few use their power in the right way and give respect whereas the majority are arrogant and corrupt.
