Things like these can barely vanish forever, even if the current people are found, punished, removed from their positions, and new people are hired in their place, someday in the future, the same thing will start happening again because greed doesn't leave human at all, and it's only some people who can actually control their greed but those who see they have some power and can do certain things, they will barely have any control and they do things like these.

And they don't really care about their country at all, all they care about is their own selves and their bank balance, so they don't think it through that if they reject a good player, that player might go to another country and play from there and become a precious asset for that country which could happen with their own country but only didn't because some scoundrel wanted to get money out of him.
That's because everything is too deep-rooted and done long ago. This can only be done if there is a total overhaul of the association from the bottom to the highest and all are replaced by new employees who are experienced in their respective fields. But even so, there is still an opportunity to do that because corruption and illegal things cannot be eliminated easily.

They only think about how they can get much money from doing that. Even if they can accept talented players, they will also receive prizes not only from the government but also from the community will give something to them. Apart from that, the players who got the chance to play will not forget their services for having chosen them to join the team that defended their country.

The more sad thing about this is that it became a tradition to almost every country, people who have talents in some sports should be helped so that they can give some help as well when they are already successful specially in Africa where not all are born leaders and talented. But the thing is, instead of helping them, they are charging them some ridiculous amounts just to be in a certain team and play to get the minutes. In the end, hatred will be passed on and not the other way around.
Even though that should not have happened because if people with talent in sports or other than that are assisted, it can trigger them to be able to give the best for their country. They will try hard because their country has allowed them to appear with their country's name. But yeah, that's what's happening in many countries, and they're deliberately hindering those who have talent by asking them to pay money so that those who hinder them can get a share. Hopefully, people like that can be dealt with soon and removed from the association so that the country can get talented people who can give the best for their country.

Well, FIFA is an Organization that is worldwide, each Country has its FIFA representatives to Verify that everything is OK, so it is clear that in the countries of the world there may be FIFA Officials that can go wrong, in addition, Money makes many sell whatever it takes to get a good Slice, here we all know that those from FIFA have always had their acts of corruption, that now they try to cover it up, well that's something else, that's so clear and scratchy time as if they were places for preschool children.

I'm not saying that FIFA is involved in acts of corruption, but sometimes we see games that wow it seems as if the referees and all the VAR were actually involved in something, because this type of thing like corruption is sometimes evident, it's as if they wanted a particular team to pass because it happened, despite having done things well, aside from that, it is not known how things are handled in big games, whether or not there is money involved, I am a very distrustful person, And I will always be wary of the acts they do, in fact if they change the VAR it would be great.

In the VAR, conversations no longer come out, if the referees see something that they think and say they are sure of what they saw, they will not even consult the VAR and that is unheard of, so they have played very good plays and because of the referees they do not sentence them as it should be, this is not what it should be, but of course, like things when there was the VAR that discredited everything that the main referee did, they filed the claim, and they approved it, now a central referee has all the power to decide what he sees, but they should make a clause that where it is seen that they stole the game, they should take away their licenses, so that they know that they should not cheat and it is the best option they have to continue preserving their reputation, personally I don't trust much in the decision of some FIFA bodies when it comes to local tournaments.

It's disheartening, really, to see the "beautiful game" clouded with such suspicions. Yes, money can sway opinions, and the higher the stakes, the more pervasive the problem seems

But let's consider the other side of the coin. Could it be that we, as fans, attribute too much of our teams' misfortunes to refereeing bias and corruption? Sport, at its core, is about unpredictability, and errors are a part of that. I agree VAR can seem flawed and arbitrary at times, but remember it's a system in its relative infancy. Growing pains are expected, aren't they?

As for your suggestion about stricter punitive measures for referees, it's not a half-bad idea! However, we must be cautious to avoid creating a culture of fear and paranoia among officials

I have also thought about all this, and I say, well, if there is a technology associated with this football thing, then what role do the referees play? everything would be more focused on the possible degenerations of the human being, but seeing that there is and that there is so much corruption in sport, that sometimes it is not shown because that type of news sometimes does not come to light, but those of us who know how it is football, we know when someone is stealing from us and that makes us even more angry, that's when we say that a robot would do it very well, and then based on that things can change and look like a more just world. And a referee who makes a mistake on purpose is the technology to denounce him and make him pay.

I only think of something, sometimes technology is there to help and minimize human errors, that whenever there is a bad decision by a referee, it is when the VAR has to give a warning to the referee, and if he obeys much better, it's their method of covering their ass, otherwise every game should always be audited by experts to see if the game was completely fair.

In sport there are obviously many things to improve and it can be achieved as long as things are required, I believe that in FIFA, as in any sport, there should be no case where an act that has to do with corruption is committed, here these sports are watched by children and if they set a bad example, what can we expect?

I like to emphasize soccer because it is the King sport, apart from that it is the sport that I like the most, contact sports are also my favorites, essentially because I have practiced them all my life, maybe that is where my taste for those comes from. sports, on the other hand with others like basketball, baseball, are not to my taste and that makes things that interest me change, I don't know how it is in the case of corruption if it exists or not in those sports, maybe yes, because that is a network that never breaks, there are always interests involved that are above sports, it is a pity, but it is the reality in which we live.

In many countries there are similar schemes when in order to advance in a career a person must pay a certain amount of money is quite usual practice, because corruption, politics also affects sports as well as all other spheres of our life. I heard that in my country even to be hired as a police officer in a good department, you have to pay money to the management. Otherwise you can spend your whole life working at the lowest position and patrolling the streets on foot.
It has happened in many countries where to get promoted, one has to pay bribes to officials with higher positions. Otherwise, they will remain in their position until they retire unless there is a central person who really cares about his subordinates and can evaluate the performance of subordinate employees properly so that person can be promoted without having to pay bribes. Stories like that are no longer a secret because many already know about it. This case is never finished because it involves officials from the lowest to the highest levels. And if this also happens in sports, we won't be surprised because it also happens in other places.

Hey guys, reading little story on Kylian Mbappe who on Thursday visited Cameroon on a charity with the deaf and other familiarization visit to his father's home town. He spoke with Joseph Dion Ngute, the Cameroon's Prime Minister, he was honoured visiting and I believe this is just like the humanitarian work some influential people do

But one striking revelation was that he would have been a cameroonian player if they weren't asking his father to pay them money before allowing him to play while he still trying to fix his career and French allowed him without payment.

Quote
"At first, I wanted my son to play for Cameroon, but someone at the Cameroonian Football Federation charged me money that I didn't have to make him play," he explained. " The French charged nothing."

I have also heard of some local stories about how some coaches require money from new footballers before they allow them on trier both in their clubs and national teams. Is this happening globally for new players who are still seeking to find a spot in clubs?

Do you think Cameroun miss Mbappe or it is Mbappe that missed Cameroun ?

That does not sound like it is an official fee. If anything, it sounds like pure bribery.

Such corruption can be found at any and all socioeconomic levels and it needs to be addressed clearly. I think one of the best ways is to make calling out corruption seem like a more honorable and rewarding experience, rather than being called a snitch.

Some of these players later become very famous and this makes their image their currency. The more dirt they throw on their own image, the worse their career will become. At some point, many players, despite being talented and having an amazing streak of good games, will find themselves at the bottom of their sports career. That really is the worst consequence of accepting dirty corruption money.
it's not even bribery cause it's not like the Mbappe's Dad's the one that's giving them the cash, this is pure roadside robbery extortion lols. They literally are asking you to do something for them first which in this case is pay them what I could only guess is a stupendous amount of money, before even allowing your kid to play. And the worst part is that you can't really do anything about it because the extortion mechanism is embedded within the social construct that we ourselves established. We made it so some people are higher than us in power, we forgot that not everyone could and would handle it with care and now we're dealing with the consequences of people abusing their power in the process. We can literally change people that are seated in these positions of power and extortion will keep up.

in africa there are many countries in a situation of extreme poverty, and in the most distant villages the situation becomes worse, but when someone with a lot of talent appears, then the soccer leaders of the country charge money so that this talented player can play in the main team or manage to be transferred to a foreign team, this is because corrupt African leaders look at that opportunity that the national team has to be playing and attracting people's attention as a way for players to gain exposure and attract attention from the big foreign clubs, so these managers africans charge money

for internal players to play in the main team, this only changes in the scenario where the player is very famous and plays in a big team abroad, in this case the managers do not charge anything for him to go play in the main team, I believe that the majority of the people in africa who follow soccer know this, there is much more corruption in soccer in africa that it is not worth me talking about it here, unfortunately there are no institutions that judge this because corruption in africa comes from the top, it comes from the top leader of the country

Unfortunately, these leaders know that there will be good samaritans that would sponsor these talents and pay huge sums of money just to get the talent out there. These are what these corrupt leaders bank on and that's still holds true even on some of the poorest regions in the world. Football as a sport is famous, and these corrupt officials know that there is money in talent so long as they find it first and build a wall against these.
Fortunately for us and unfortunately for them scouts of the best leagues around the world go anywhere as long as they think they can find some talent, so even if they keep asking for huge amounts of money to allow good players to get on the field, if they are good enough at some point a scout from a foreign country will get to watch them.

And then it is just a matter of time until those players play at Europe and they never forget of all the difficulties  they were forced to face, and they decide to play for an European team instead of the country in which they were born.

I have heard similar stories in my country, and it's also for both for the movie and music industries too. stories like you have to pay money before you can be allowed to act some roles in the movie scene. I believe that those stories might not be lies, but if that's true, such a situation could only be common among up-coming footballers, and it's not right to request such a bribe before allowing them to perform. Although they are still good players, when they become very successful and popular players, they will still make more money than they have spent.
Corruption isn't bound to countries and organizations, there is corruption in each and every country and each and every organization in the world, it is just that some are hidden and some are known by the public, those that come in front of the public are shamed and those who are hidden are never known. These kinds of incidents where people are asked for money for the roles that they are assigned or deserve to get happens almost every day.

Such people are barely known by the public because those who are asked for bribes never reveal these things to the public because they know the ones asking for money are in power and if they come to know about what they did, they might never allow them to get into the position ever.

You are right, mate, it's not just tied to one country, and for those countries where such news is not heard, there's no assurance that such corruption is not going on there. The truth is that some of those things are done secretly, so no one will disclose them, and even if you disclose the information to some people, they will not believe you because they can think that you are only trying to paint the organisation black. Also, when one is in this kind of situation, one has no other option but to pay and move on to the next stage. There's one celebrity whose autobiography I read, and she said she was only acting in some movies that did not put her name in the public eye, but that during the shooting of one interesting movie, she had to pay for the role she chose to play in that movie, and from there, she started receiving requests to be featured in some movies.
The biggest reason why the people who are asked for money don't disclose this information is that they are threatened not to do that, and a person who is poor and has no strong backup would obviously not risk his life only to reveal someone else's reality because the ones who ask for a bribe are the ones in authority and has all kinds of power and can do anything, if they refuse to offer the position only because they aren't given what they asked for, the best thing is to leave silently without creating a scene.

We have seen this happening on a lot of occasions where people tried to reveal the realities of people in power, especially in politics, and they became victims of target killing right after that, which is evident that they were assassinated by the same group of people who were behind the scams.
That's hard to take, but it's the terrible reality in many societies today. You're right: power dynamics cause corruption and abuse. Doesn't silence indicate a damaged system? Shouldn't we challenge and change this? Instead of leaving "silently," we might strengthen whistleblower protection procedures

Flip the coin: envision a society where transparency is promoted, the powerful are held accountable, and truth doesn't cost lives. Perhaps then, victims of this power play could safely reveal the truth. That's a reality worth defending!

Those in the positions of power on those industries know very well they hold a massive influence and they can destroy or make a career if they want, however while this is possible in sports, and I have no doubts it is very common too, it is also true that once a player reaches a world class level then they can skip all of those barriers to entry.

And it is important that stories like these become more widely known so when other people face that situation as well they refuse to give in.

Sometimes, people are not that surprised anymore if bribing should come first before they can join the club and participate some of the games because these things have unfortunately became a norm and it's like a habit that people are already accustomed of. It's sad but that is the reality and even if they will voice it out, their voice won't matter or it won't reach to the desired crowd so that people will know. Some are asked to sign an NDA just to secure it behind the curtains.

These are moments behind the scenes but this sport makes the players like a celebrity. It is kind of hard to make them silent when people are actually reading beyond the lines. Even the contracts and the money along with it are discussed publicly.

The father however is the first to squeak. If the legacy media take focus on this revelation, this will be talked over and over in the sports news unfortunately there are lots of crazy things happening around the world. This Cameroonian one is ignored.
