Bitcoin is difficult to explain. I also felt difficulties in understanding bitcoin for the firs time. Let's share how to explain bitcoin to children of teenagers. In My country I can say 98% children don't know bitcoin. In fact, bitcoin can be future money. If the children not familiar with cryptocurrency or bitcoin, how can they face the digital era in the future.

It is okay to tell bitcoin to teenagers but not really to children. As a young boy or girl, they must focus on their study rather than dealing with bitcoin. They are not so knowledgeable  and wise enough if they participate on it. In teenagers, it is better to first have a research about it to have some backround.
I'm just afraid that they won't interested in Bitcoin. If they really want to know, tell them the basic first. What is cryptocurrency? Bitcoin is one of the cryptocurrenct but it is more popular than others cryptocurrency.
I think they will be interested in bitcoin because young people will always love exploring and we can explain to them about bitcoin, this is an infinite space and there are not too many rules, they can satisfy their curiosity and discovery. In addition, young people at a certain age will be aware of the importance of money, Bitcoin can provide them with an easy part-time job and generate additional income, without any reason they do not care about it unless they are not mature enough in thought and awareness

children are enough to teach us about bitcoin, when teenagers are very easy when you hear the currency that will be obtained from bitcoin, we just explain via video on youtube so do not waste effort wasting your time when can give them a lecture about the video so they can learn it.

Explain bitcoin to teenagers or children certainly not easy, it depends on their interest, if they are not interested of course they will long in understanding bitcoin, if they are interested then we can introduce bitcoin through games on their smartphones.

With many teenagers, it shouldn't be hard to explain.

Many of them already play games that have virtual goods or native digital currencies.  Think of Zynga's Poker, which is played by tens of millions of people on Facebook.  It has a currency used only by that poker game, but only by players in the game.  Tell the teenager that the main difference is that Bitcoin can be used outside of any game and by anyone.

Explaining a bitcoin to a clueless teenagers or childfres is like describing a unicorn to the kids. They maybe amazed about it, but they don't exactly believe it. I guess the most effective way to explain is to show them your bitcoin wallet. Show them how much bitcoin you owned and how to convert it and how to withdraw it. Everything must be visual because it's hard tp explain and tell stories about something virtual. Maybe talk about it over a cup of coffee and explain about how powerful it is to invest in bitcoin and how it is important to the future of humanity.

I think we should just let the kids enjoy their time being young because when the grow up, all they're going to do is work. It is enough that they have the idea that a digital currency like bitcoin exist and if they want to dig deeper about it its up to them.
I agree, let children play with fake money and enjoy their innocence. They will have their turn in the real world when they grow up ;-)

It is hard to explain bitcoin to children if the teacher has no patience. It takes time and there's a right time. There are children who are playful and naughty so you can't teach them well. But for teenagers, they can catch up but there is the other side to make them doubt because of different interests.

That is true.  It is such hard to teach children with bitcoin.  Of course at this stage they are curious about their surroundings and much into having fun and playing.  Maybe if we could make bitcoin an enjoyable thing for them to understand it and learn. As to teenagers, you are correct, they can understanf it.  And I guess it would not be hard for them to understand it since many who are into bitcoins were teenagers.

It is good for teenagers or children to know bitcoins. It is because they are young, they have more potential to earn and gain bitcoin in their future. In that case, those children or teenagers that knew bitcoin as soon as possible, can be a successful person in their future lives.

I think the easiest way to explain bitcoin to kids and to help them understand it better is by using analogy. Ask them what material things they know are valuable aside from money. If they answer,  say for example, gold, then use gold as an analogy. Like, it's not money, but you can actually trade it with money. Then put a little comparison that gold is a physical valuable while bitcoin is a virtual valuable.

I don't think bitcoin is that hard to understand for regular teenagers. Young people tend to learn a lot faster than most adults. I think the main problem will be to get adults to accept bitcoin in their mindset. For most of the adults money needs to be physical (cash or debit card).
Yes, I do agree with you. Teenagers learn everything faster than the adult because their brain is still developing and they can remember many things than adults. Therefore, if we can teach bitcoin in the school, it will give us a chance to develop bitcoin in the future because young people will pay more attention to bitcoin than old men

It is like explaining different societies with two cows. Smiley
In capitalism , you have two cows. You sell one, and buy a bull. The heard multiplies. You sell the entire heard for a better price.
In socialism you have two cows. The governement takes them from you, and give you some milk.

When having bitcoin you have two cows. If you sell them today you get a price. If you sell them tomorrow you get ten times the price of yesterday. Smiley

Bitcoin can be a future money but it's quite complicated for a children to understand it's use and how it works. I learned about bitcoin when I was 20 and all I know about it is that it changes price often and it has a potential. It can be earned for free and a lot of people got rich because of it. Up until now, I still have to learn more about bitcoin.

i think yes currently the young people do not have any concern with bitcoin because currently we are using bitcoin for trading and investment purpose only, but i think if we only teach them about bitcoin and and explain it to them just for the purpose of knowledge then i think there is noting wrong in it, because in future we can expect that we will be using bitcoin for shopping as currency.

Not many adults have the capability to understand bitcoin, they do not get why we need bitcoin when there is already currencies like the US dollar so I think It is a waste of time to teach children and teens when not even their parents can understand bitcoin.

Bitcoin can be difficult to explain but so can money and what teenager really knows how that works, hell most people don't know how money really works.
I think a teenager would probably be the easiest generation to teach bitcoin to, you don't need to teach them the whole in's and out's just a bit about public/private key pairs, sending/receiving addresses and secure coin holding and they will pick up the rest very quickly.
Actually, I think its quite diffucult to explain im children because they do not have any skill or idea about bitcoin and they will never get interested im bitcoin. In addition to that, you should explain to them if they already teenagers because they will pick up quickly and they will understand it clearly.

Kids are not mature enough to understand anything until they reach some point of time. And kids these days are well adapted with technology related stuff, so to face and survive the digital era won't be a problem.  But then children and teen agers mostly won't be interested in bitcoin or crypto so, if it's their interest go ahead and teach them otherwise it's of no use.
