REN is a legit DeFi project.  I suggest you look into it.  I was fortunate to get in at $0.015, but I still think it's at least a 10-bagger from here.
This is actually a good project and i have been trading binance for a while but now it is not cheap because the price of this token has increased. Also their project products are good so i would recommend for trading but should be holding longer bitcoin and ethereum.

It's a very good idea you are investing a higher portion into the mother of all altcoins, BTC. You can also consider investing on some low cap blockchain games and/or exchange tokens like $NOW of https://changenow.io. It's one of the hidden gem I know of, should make investors proud sooner or later. Staking Recently Released!
All the best in your investments, please do your research and make your investment decisions wisely.

When it comes to investment, I use a particular part of the scripture which I can not remember the exact scripture but the quote, "cadet your bread upon the waters". The waters there connotes various projects (in this context). So you don't carry all your eggs in one basket.

This is a very old thread. So I assume you already invested your money. And hope that you made good profit. And you said you want to invest 1k in btc I think you are all profit on that trade. And the other 500$ in some risky coin or a coin which will give good profit in short term. If you already liquid your 500$ alt. You can go with defi Strom. For last few months defi projects are growing like beast some of them are like 10-20x from base price. Or I also think polkadot based projects are alos good they have a good long term future. Now the main thing always do some research on your own before any kind of investment.

I am impressed with how many people give great advice on this threat. Unfortunately, nobody checked if the thread is still up-to-date ;-)

The OP has long since thanked for the advice and made his investment almost year ago...

thanks for all the replies guys buy my quick money I meant I will not touch the invest until atleast 4-5 months have passed

What's more, he has not looked at this thread himself (or on the forum in general) for eight months so advising him does not make much sense

$ 1500 is a lot of money, you really need to pay attention to where you are investing your money,
don't buy bad altcoins project, because now there are many scam altcoin projects.

i have got around $1500 to invest in coins which coins do you guys suggest to invest in for quick money ? a year ago I have invested in STRAT and Sia and I lost big amounts and regret investing in those coins.

I'm thinking of investing $1k into BTC as its low risk but I would like to risk the the other $500 with a coin that I can make quick money with it
Why not go to Binance exchange and buy the lowest value alt which you think has a tendency to rise so that you can earn profit? There's a lot of coins there that you can choose. But always invest at your own risk that's why you also need to do your own research before investing.

I think big $ 1.5k to invest in coins it all depends on you if you choose a coin with a slight risk of loss Better to choose Ethereum as an investment
because ethereum has a high demand in every market

We have different risk appetite, I know my risk appetite is quite low and won't like to put my funds into anything that is not very clear, I'll rather share my funds between reputable and trusted coin like bitcoin, ethereum, and other projects that have a sound market capitalisation. This would give me better satisfaction and peace of mind.

First I would say if you are new hold your money and watch the market. And try to understand how this crypto market works and gain some knowledge. Then go for investment. Normally when people invest high amount they decided which is his investment plan. Is it long term? Mid term? Or short term or day trading? But for mid and long term people always 50-60% of their money spend in Bitcoins. Another 30% on high cap or mid cap coins like ethereum or xrp or cardano. And the last porttion for risky coins which can give high amount of roi.

I would recommend you to not to invest in BTC at the moment rather than you have to put all your $1.5k into the ETH to make a greater profit. At the current moment, ETH is gaining so aggressively and that would be the advantage of making a huge profit in a short period of time.
Ethereum price movements are also in line with the increasing price of Bitcoin. It cannot be denied that Bitcoin also has great opportunities.
However, currently Bitcoin and Ethereum prices are almost at their peak, I think there is still a big possibility to drop. Because the prices of Bitcoin and Ethereum have increased by 60% since March 2019, but there has been a drastic decline in March 2020.
Whatever that forecasts for ETH, and BTC I do consistently recommend purchase bitcoin and ethereum every week and hodl it. Make yourself as a solid holder and then repeat again and again. It's called ultimate move.

If you do have a good amount of spare money this practical move will have best results in the nearest futures, ignoring volatility
and keep your investment stored,. This two coins already shows the glimpse of the past it can go further and deliver much higher than the last time high. If you can just keep on adding from time to time , eventually you'll see that you already earning a lot.

I don't suggest investing in any token at this bull period. Those that bought bitcoin and ethereum two months ago now have their funds increasing in value by around 80%. Bitcoin, ethereum, Ripple and all other major cryptocurrency investment is all I can advise at the moment.

I agree with your way of investing, we need to focus on Bitcoin first. 1000 $ is a good amount for you to buy and hold it, the remaining 500 $ I think you should choose the Defi projects to invest, if you are lucky, maybe that investment will increase many times. because the Defi projects are having a lot of hype
they have already made a lot of noise and now I already think that there is no need to invest in Defi. The hype is getting dangerous and the prices of Defi soon should go down
There are still many Defi projects that are good in this market, just do research and I believe you will find good projects to invest. Also never fomo on shady defi projects because it will make you lose money

I will use this money to invest in some new low cap altcoins in this market to make a profit. My pick is Oikos, this is a good Defi project at the TRON network and their current prices are very cheap.

for me, $ 1.5K is a lot of money to start investing in the crypto space and a good idea because you chose Bitcoin first as an investment asset. Aren't you interested in ETH? the price is much cheaper than BTC, $ 500 for ETH will be better than you choosing another altcoin with a higher risk. another option if you have skills in trading, you can start with $ 500 to start trading.

The market does not always go the same way.It is better to invest knowingly.I think before any investment. The project needs to be well analyzed. And the capital has to be invested by dividing it into 3 parts.A reserve for a running trade. And to deposit coins in a running account.
