As it becomes more successful and more prosperous , it would become more acceptable.
It would have to do a lot of hard work to be accepted by bitcoin.
It should first be a hot
topic to be discussed about in news and stuff , then this topic
would be discussed at higher stages and one a time will come when the government
would include in a speech or would directly initiate bitcoin.
But bitcoin has to wait a lot to be accepted by the government.

Actually countries are beginning to accept bitcoins. The Philippine government through the Central Bank has announced that they see merit in the use of bitcoin as form of payment. They have seen that bitcoin will be of big help to the economy both offline and online. As such to avoid money laundering they have set some rules so that bitcoin will not be used in illicit activities.

It is not hard for some governments to accept bitcoin IF they understand how bitcoin works and what are the advantages in using bitocin as another kind of currency or payment system. If we just explain about the bitcoin to government in a very simple and understandable way then it will not hard for government to accept bitcoin and promote it legally.
I think the government has a lot of experts, so that they understand how to work on bitcoin, so they're doing a ban on bitcoin. if bitcoin legalized without any control. it will threaten the government itself
the government not only see advantages, but also see disadvantages bitcoin, I think the government better understand the advantages and disadvantages to the country if accept bitcoin than you
They understand Bitcoin and how the blockchain work.  And they also know if they let the people using Bitcoin,  they can never collect tax or control the property of the people.  Therefore,  they refuse accepting Bitcoin and some countries even ban Bitcoin permanently. Bitcoin is  good,  but it can not against the government without any support from us

First you should have to find some way to get rid of a government debt. All government in the world are just drown in debt. And the only thing that gives power to fiat money is debt and taxes. So no, sorry its imposible for government to go against their lenders as being a bad to their lenders would result in increasing the interest rates on the debt.

it takes time and trust that bitcoin is recognized by a state. many governments still fear in legalizing bitcoin. the only way is to use bitcoin as often as possible. So the government should not have to recognize bitcoin for a functioning economic system in the country.
for now, the government is very scared with bitcoin, because they think bitcoin currency is illegal and assist the process of crime such as money laundering and so on. maybe in the future the government can accept bitcoin under certain conditions
i think the accepting of bitcoin by the government is concern with the mass adoption. if people are accepting bitcoin and their number is increasing then government will also think about accepting bitcoin, but it is also a fact the government will accept bitcoin under certain conditions.
Yes, before making government accepting bitcoin payment system, we must make our friends and colleagues to adopt bitcoins. When more number of people will be using bitcoins, there will be more merchants and hence government may start think about accepting bitcoins as one of medium of exchange with some regulations like imposing taxes.
Nope, a government does not care about how many the people are trying to adopting the bitcoin in nowadays. but they just need to prevent the risk has provided by bitcoin.
A lot of the adoption in Venezuela and it's not showing good interest by the government.
I’m pretty sure the Venezuelan governments hates any way the people can use to avoid the crazy inflation that goes in their country, that is why there is a control of dollars in the country and bitcoin is even worst since you have no way to control it at all.
Venezuela tried hard to come out of inflation with the use of bitcoin. Eventually people started mining and supported the economy through the earning made, but recent days regulations of the government is very worse. Destroyed several mining farms as well the users were under investigation.
Which show us once again, as if we needed confirmation, that governments care about themselves and not the people instead of letting people prosper with the use of a new currency not suffering the fate of the national currency governments try to crush individual enterprise with laws and regulations and even the use of force.

It is really hard to make governments accept bitcoin. Because as it is considered as a great threat to the economy of a country. But we all know that nothing is impossible in the world. So, we can show the positive attitude as well as assertive side of bitcoin slowly. Then the task can be solved easily.

I don't think a government will give up what they could control over a currency that would take years on explaining to their own employees how bitcoin works.  And like they said, if all those things are explained to them and more and more people learned about how the government had kept their people from being slave all their lives, a revolt could happen leaving chaos to rule. It is better this way that they kept people from learning how decentralized the world should be. If majority of the people are more open to this technology then its good.

Do you think your government is dumb or something? Or you simply think that you know more than them? They know and understand how this works. They are keeping an eye on us. Maybe not exactly those people that are in the government like the president, senator, etc. but there are people that works for the government to give the government insights about such topic. And they don't bother telling the people that's above them unless someone significant has happened. For example, the number of bitcoin is suddenly increasing at a crazy rate.

The government knows that bitcoin is decentralized and that's not good at their perspective. If they ban bitcoins, or even just speak about bitcoins, everyone will be curious about it and eventually be enlightened about it. It would create a butterfly effect and eventually everyone would turn against their own government after realizing what a fiat slave have they been.

I have a question for you. How to make governments accept bitcoin and not see it as a threat? So that one could use bitcoin in daily use, such as paying taxes or grocery shopping. What is there, other than anonymity, thats making governments fear bitcoin and cryptocurrencies?
Actually sir bitcoin will never be a threat to a country in fact bitcoin help the economic status of a country to rise  and also it help to increase the national income of the country since dollars are coming in the country! Bitcoin is something government should thank for because it will help to rise the economic status of a country and people will be comfortable when paying their bills

Government is considered bitcoin as a threat because it can disrupt the economic balance and then bitcoin is anonymous so the government cant control the transaction and cant detect how much wealth that the person had, so the government couldnt tax the person, to make the government accept it is simple, just report all your transaction, but i am not willing to do it
In fact, Bitcoin is feared by many governments, since this technology can change the way people perceive the impacts that a centralized currency can have on the economy, and so these people would realize that Bitcoin is a more beneficial solution for society.
The fact that some governments create restrictions, is not something that always causes problems for Bitcoin, because in general this only makes people know the currency even more.

I think it will not be easy to convince the government to accept Bitcoin as legal tender.
They still can not believe this, still hesitant or unwilling to completely accept Bitcoin, but there is the possibility of them to accept or facilitate but not until it becomes legal tender, Bitcoin may be equated with paypal and others.

Just for your support information government doesn't see Bitcoin as a threat and it isn't something to be afraid of , they said Bitcoin can't be regulated and that is true but exchanges can be regulated! what is the sense of Bitcoin if you can't convert it to fiat? maybe almost none ! that is why the government is targeting the exchanges not the Bitcoin itself
That is not right that bitcoin cannot be regulated and why for them it is not able to regulate bitcoin. The only issue for them is that they afraid from the regulation of bitcoin they want to keep their eye on every transaction in their country which is not possible with bitcoin and so they do not want it to come in their way.

It will happen naturally, if Bitcoin rally continues. I think that Chinese governement is buying Bitcoin secretly, manipulating the price and pushing it down intentionally. AML is bullshit, if you consider timing of their action:

Quote
Some bitcoin community members see this latest move by the PBOC as another way of China manipulating the bitcoin price. Considering the market was on track to set a new all-time high bitcoin price yesterday morning, the news came in at a time during which traders were seemingly willing to push the bitcoin price up even more. In the course of a few hours, bitcoin’s value dropped by quite a bit and is still trying to recover from this debacle.

Easy, when the use of the bitcoin exceeds fiat money, I'm sure the countries immediately ratified the bitcoin as one of the official means of payment. And also the economic benefits, if the perceived presence of bitcoin really help the economy of the country, then it is certainly the Government accepted bitcoin immediately.

It depends, they may in act a law making bitcoin as legally accepted currency in their state, or they will ban the use of bitcoin as it is affecting the use of their fiat currency... It depends, on the policy of the country... Mostly governments are not yet open to technology that they don't have knowledge yet...

It will take years for them to notice the effect of bitcoin in the economy or until someone is telling them about it or they were influenced by someone( probably another leader ) who already experience the use of bitcoin in his country...  Smiley
