If we can make the government agree to accept bitcoin, they will demand that we need to provide an identification for every wallet and transactions we will make. It might also demand that every transactions should be taxable. Are you prepared to accept that? Because if that will happen, we will lose the very essence of bitcoin.

That's what Europe would like to add and talked about recently. Listing and track each bitcoin users. As for the taxs, why not, it helps the country (considering it is used efficiently) Aren't you happy to have hospitals, or your kid can go to school and you pay nothing ? Then it is with the taxs collected. People should be happy to pay taxs. For exemple you see people who complaint about their country telling the hospital in the city is bad, roads are not good, ect ect but they fraud the taxs LOL, this is ironic

I think governments will gradually see the benefits of Bitcoin and will become less afraid of it over time. As long as it's not outlawed, Bitcoin should do fine.

Governments won't easily allow bitcoin to be the currency to be used in the country. Other than anonymity the biggest hurdles is that governments can't give the users the assurance of trust similar to the local fiat. Because currency was printed based upon a value placed in relation to commodity. Bitcoin just move depending upon the technology.
Where on earth did you get such crap from? Please wake up man, this is 21st century and there is not one government on plant earth that has its currency backed even by the sands in the seas. If there was anything like assurance of trust for the fiat currencies, the world would have been such a lovely place. Take another look at any fiat currency at your disposal, what you are is piece of paper or some coin and that's all about it. The governments can print them anytime, any quantity and create all manners of financial crisis as a result of that.

With Bitcoin, you already know the cap is at 21 million coins and counterfeit is ruled out. That explains why the governments all over are scared of what Bitcoin can do to their local currencies, should it become mainstream.
Please first learn about the money and printing them, there is only one giant world bank that allows any country to print money and a few selected countries with the ability and means needed to do so, UK and US with RU are the ones I know about and if you think your national paper money is printed inside the country and behind closed doors then you are as naive as it gets.
Did you really think every government in the world are freely printing unlimited fiat? if it was that easy then each one of them would've tried to devalue others by saturating the economy of their enemies.

In traditional economy there are only a few with the most advantages and having access to billions of dollars without even working for it, but bitcoin is equally distributed among those working for it with the proof of work before being rewarded and that is against the law of monopoly and power.

There are lots and lots of reason why bitcoin is not being used as a national currency of a country, one is collecting tax, if try were to make bitcoin a currency of their country, they must know how to get taxes from the transactions of salaries and payments, taxes are essential for a country. There are transactions that we don't know and they must be monitored, bitcoin can be used to smuggle and corruption if they will not monitor his transactions.
No government will be making bitcoin an official currency ,it is like United states rejecting their dollar and starts accepting pound or euro ,so it is not going to happen and it can co exist and not the other way round. Even fiat is used to smuggle and corruption so whats wrong when people innovate . Tongue
Because of corruption i think they can accept bitcoin because of anonymity they can use this for corruption..
But for other officials of government they can not accept it to use bitcoin legally because of anonymous they can use it to be corrupt in government so this is the reason that i think it can be happen if the are using it and make it legal to use.. So they don't let happen unless if the president is corrupted,

Tax is a reason why governements should be involved with btc, either monitoring it or implementing it. Because the volumes. Over 180M a day (currently), makes it profitable tax wise.

But my opinion is that they don't understand how bitcoin actually works.

Bitcoin isn't ready to become the prime currency at least you can see from his unconfirmed transaction charts. too many the transaction is getting a delay. Bitcoin still needs a lot of improvement for himself.

No need to anything just pay a for your bitcoin transaction the government will automatically accept Bitcoin as a legal currency. They don't look for what purpose people use Bitcoin they need the just revenue that's it. If they get income from Bitcoin transaction, they will accept this Bitcoin as a legal currency. All politicians look for money they don't look for country growth.

Making government accepts bitcoin is going to be a difficult task to achieve not by the government themselves but by the people whose interest might be threatened if government should make such decisions and these set of people are the one who the fight should be against and not government because majority of those people who will make laws in my own country sits on boards of corporations that their revenue might take a nose dive should government go that way.

perhaps by showing positive activity against the government, such as creating a great business, and encourage people to use bitcoin. maybe so, the government will issue a warrant to make bitcoin be legal, and can be used for good business freely. Well, maybe it would work.

Governments are not going to be the people that want to accept bitcoin in the least as it's in the best interest to keep their fiat currency rolling and churning. Bitcoin is a nuisance to countries as they have to go ahead and pass regulations and such relating to it.

The only way to make them accept bitcoin is to force them into that relationship.
I think it's obvious that it will be very difficult to do this. especially if the government forced to accept bitcoi of course it would be detrimental to the government itself. so this will be an issue that will be long resolved

Rather than thinking about the ways to get the governments to accept Bitcoin, we should think about the ways for different companies and brands to accept it as a payment gateway or get more people into mining Bitcoin. That way, the popularity and the usability both will be increased and it will make a good future for the Bitcoin.  Smiley
If companies and brands accept Bitcoin, it will be easily used in the physical world. The government, however, does not like Bitcoin at all since they can not collect tax from the BItcoin users. Companies and brands are more likely to use Bitcoin because they can obtain the advantages from its technologies. Therefore, persuading companies will bring us more success
Agreed, even if many companies use bitcoin and accept as a payment method still governments will not accept as a legal currency, and the only way for them to accept it as so is to let them control it and like you said let them apply taxes on it which we don’t want because it means that we have to deify the main idea of the bitcoin, so it is better off like this.

I dont think there is any way to force any government to accept bitcoin as main currency. On other hand theoretically people in some country can make a difference, that depends how many people are ready to get out on the street and make a little revolution. Are we talking about minimum 50 population or more then that? Is there any country with even 5 % population that use bitcoin at this moment?

No, it's impossible, there are very few bitcoin users in the world, it's not sufficient to make a revolution and for for me this doesn't make any sense. Why to make governments adopt bitcoin as main currency?
We can use our country currency and bitcoin simutaneously without problems, it's good to have two options of currencies to use, government should stay as it's now about bitcoins.

I have a question for you. How to make governments accept bitcoin and not see it as a threat? So that one could use bitcoin in daily use, such as paying taxes or grocery shopping. What is there, other than anonymity, thats making governments fear bitcoin and cryptocurrencies?
The only feasible and plausible way to make government accept bitcoin is to organize a group who are good in politics and who love bitcoin and then you run in the elections. If you win in the elections then you and your group can make a move to finally let the government accept bitcoin. So good luck in your candidacy.
i dont think that it is so easy. making group of such people and then wining the election such a long process and very little chances to succeed. i think the only best solution is to make the existence government compel to accept bitcoin as legal currency. and that can only be done if you have convince the government about bitcoin.
