Sending important transactions and having that certain transaction stuck due to unconfirmed transactions backlog. Mostly due to carelessness and not checking the recommended fees for a transaction to be confirmed on the next block.

I dont think that we can ever make governments accept bitcoin, it will always be a rival to the current fiat system, well until it is defeated.....Smiley

There are inter-government rivalries at play as well.
Iran may have a vested interest in accepting bitcoins, rather than US dollars.
That is the only reason why I see some governments accepting bitcoins.

I have a question for you. How to make governments accept bitcoin and not see it as a threat? So that one could use bitcoin in daily use, such as paying taxes or grocery shopping. What is there, other than anonymity, thats making governments fear bitcoin and cryptocurrencies?
Not all Governments consider bitcoin as a threat.I think the best way to convince those government which are hostile towards bitcoin is to encourage its adoption in these countries.
If more and more people start using bitcoin, governments would have positive attitude towards bitcoin.

Bitcoin is a threat and there is no way to change that, governments see bitcoin for what it is a currency for the people not owned by anyone, so the only way for bitcoin to become accepted as a currency by governments is to beat them in their own game, that bitcoin becomes so big it is simply not possible for anyone to stop it.
Even if Bitcoin becomes big there is no way to be able to ensure that governments would accept the change and modify their own economies to deal with such a dramatic shift.

There would maybe, at best, be a shift away from the USD being the world reserve and having it become much like what we see in every other country but the USA. However that's unlikely any way you look at it.
This is true, but at the same time even if bitcoin never reached the acceptance of the governments of the world, that could be irrelevant if bitcoin reached massive adoption since at that point the recognition of the governments will be irrelevant, bitcoin will be by default a currency.

Very difficult to say that government is hard to accept bitcoin, Many reasons are possible. I strongly agree with all the reasons you say. In my view because bitcoin is anonymous. And the government would probably have some problems, because bitcoin is used anonymously and no one knows for sure detail transactions, this resulted in the government can not take the income tax and other taxes that the government should have the right to be taken.

I think there is now how to make governments to accept bitcoin.
They will or must accept bitcoin in the future,
when they will see that more and more people will invest in bitcoin.

I also think about this, so far i got some point maybe it wont answer your question

1. Gov need transparancy on identity of user in blockchain, gov have several reason about this
     a. to track illegal activity
     b. to apply tax in every transaction
     c. track person
2. Gov can shutdown transaction/account otherwise accordance with the rules of government

so to make goverments accept bitcoin, we need to fullfill gov requirement, in other words blockchain wont be anonymous and decentralized.

I also still read and research best solution for this

maybe its bad idea for government to accept bitcoin
since normal transaction from bank account is already misused by some of higher up by creating fake account for corruption or other bad things
and if bitcoin accepted they can do it much more easier since bitcoin is anonymous

that what I think  Grin

This thing would be hard to happen and hard to implement, since the government concern is to hold and have a control to every currency that they have where in if the bitcoin is publicized the control of the finance of the country will not be monitored, the money that come in and out to the country will not the recorded as what we have in traditional way or like what we have now. And I guess there were countries now that do not allow to use bitcoin to circulate in their country, there were few but I guess it may increase once government notice that bad advantage of it.

I fully agree with you, its hard for government to convince to used and accept bitcoin, a currency which the government cannot control and regulate. It is a disadvantage to any government in that case unless something will happen that a government truly become a government of the people.

Like in the TV series Mr. Robot, they created their own coin the E-coin to rival bitcoin since they fear that bitcoin was controlled by Chinese Smiley

I think it's hard or perhaps impossible because anonymity is a threat to the country, to a tax that could be arranged by the government if they want and also neutral all bitcoin transactions tercatar in blockchain

i hope that in future, the government will not make bitcoin as the threat to the country and they can studied and find the benefit when bitcoin is applied in the country so they will learn more about bitcoin and find solution for the economic if they think that bitcoin can help the economic situation.

How indeed? wait what? why do we need governments to legalize bitcoin? do you think bitcoin is a new thing that needs infrastructure like internet? though even internet could function in an already existed telecommunication infrastructure in every country. bitcoin is out there in the open for literally every single person in the world.
First take a look at so many countries and their borders to realize how are people taking their own territories serious, did you really think any government gets involved where the most populated countries could potentially beat them in the competition?

There are a lot of threat from bitcoin so government must really think before using this bitcoin as a currency in that country, first i think is getting some taxes out of it. Another is how to track the transactions of bitcoin, because as far as I know, some transactions really are anonymous and no one know that, and if government use bitcoin, I think officials will abuse the anonymous transactions to make some corruptions.
I think the government will get a lot more harm than good when they adopt bitcoin. so I think it will be difficult for bitcoin to be acceptable in a country
Right now its true very hard for any government to adopt this because its can create too many problems for them first of all need to do some more work specially in taxation's then can happen but will take too long time
There is no way for now that you can push government to accept bitcoin.. unless if bitcoin is the same as paypal payment method i think they can accept it because they have list of users who use their service..
For now we are waiting for more adoption of bitcoin so that it can attract more peopel to use bitcoin and government can be also attract..

If the situation continued as now then it will take longer that governments accept  because governments do not like anonymous currency and do ot do anything to device a tool for carry on with that type of currency and  is not going to deny that feature of itself as it will then destroy the concept of cryptocurrency. So in the future if governments created any tool through they were able to adopt cryptocurrency then they will accept it.
i think its easy for the government to accept it if the organizers of it change their rules about taxation and make a way for the tax calculation of   using the government policies and cooperate with different government of different countries on their terms and conditions....
The problem is that for the government to have control over these taxes it would be necessary to have access to the information of the users, and this is not possible using decentralized blockchains. The government could create a wallet for each individual, but such people could create other wallets and opt for anonymity. I think that even in the most centralized blockchains it would be difficult for them to have the same level of control they currently have.

So in the future if governments created any tool through they were able to adopt cryptocurrency then they will accept it.
The better tool for the government will be to start their own wallet like web wallet or like an exchange so if they will want to collect the identity of their users then they like other web wallets and exchanges will collect the identity documents from their costumers and then they will not have any problem in the use and acceptance of bitcoin.
The government just need to build his bitcoin gateway, I may think it will same like the exchange site, but it's fully for the government operation.

With allowing everyone to get their wallet and the system will be starting to writing the wallet list and the ID of the owner.
