there is no support for "DICE" 160 GHs !? what is going on ?

It should work with 4.0.0 - it's like HEX4R only 1 chip

Well if it is do-able I'll start reading, maybe I can make something that can be loaded in.
I did try BFGminer with his instructions for OpenWrt: opkg repository for 12.09 "Attitude Adjustment" (sig + PGP key)
but ran out of memory.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Yah stock openwrt build is full of usless things in terms of mining.
.......dhcp IPv6 firewall PPP the list is too long.
Same applies to tplink kernel....a lot of stuff can be removed from there also
As I said there is enough room for two even three cgminers but you have to clean it first

Is it possible to fit the newest cgminer onto TL-MR3020 instead of the Technobit version?
Has anyone tried?

Trends
Sure no problems Wink
There are two cgminers inside Technobit build. There is a plenty of room but you must know what to do

@loshia 10x for the info, I tried udev, and some files but maybe missed something.. will test it again Wink

Can you make/compile this firmware to work on Alfa Hornet/ Alfa AP121U base on Ath71xx too? Thanks.

It should work, I'll try that too but there is no way to test it.

EDIT:

Success !!!

The init.d script for udev is missing from the pkg that was the problem.

New version 0.4b-4.0.0 with hotplug working, and some minor fixes

And here is the build for Alfa Hornet/ Alfa AP121U:

Warning: Build for Alfa not tested use at your own risk !!!

Here it is my build of openwrt for MR3020 with Technobit patched cgminer.

Key features:
  • Deafault DHCP enabled - you have to look at your main router to see the IP address of the MR3020
  • WiFi Enabled - go to Network -> WiFi -> Scan to connect to your home wifi network - it will get the same IP as LAN
  • Failsafe is working - hold the button while loading to enter failsafe mode
  • Scrypt cgminer is not included

Bugs:
  • HotPlug is not working, so if you connect new devices you have to restart cgminer or the router.
  • Very rare, cgminer fails to detect a device - just go to your cgminer settings and clock Save^Apply - that will restart cgminer

Download link:

Feedback needed!

Please note that this is beta software and I'm not in anyway responsible if you brick your device.

Sorry for double posting

Nice work Wink
1. To make hot plug work include udevd in the build make sure service starts up on boot + copy /etc/udev.... Rules.d cgminer or whatever it was from original distro
2. When you make udev work with appropriate rules cgminer will start to detect boards always Cheesy

Side notes: wifi is eating about 10 mv of device ram so be carefull when upgrading and always check if there is enough free ram prior to upgrade
Wifi can cause usb issues some times because of the 3020 hw design

After some playing around i managed to build image with WiFi enabled, working failsafe, and cgminer Wink

There are several bugs, for instance hotplug in not working, SaveApply for cgminer is not restarting it and etc. but in general it is OK, so please Technobit make special build with WiFi and remove scrypt to make some space for the ath9k drivers

IMO it will work just fine  Grin

That just awesome  Smiley

Fixed bugs:
SaveApply restarts cgminer
API Log is working
Updated to Technobit patch 3_8_0

Not fixed
hotplug - you have to restart cgminer or the router to detect new devices

I'll test it a couple of days and if everything is OK will post the firmware for downloading.

Of course it will be best if Technobit enable WiFi Tongue

I am more prefer that the DHCP option to be remove completely to avoid further incident  Cheesy

Disagree
Enabling the failsafe mode is more than enough for stupid mistakes.

I don't think he had spared time to check why the failafe didn't work  Cheesy
