Like in my very corrupt country, cartels and third-party people are destroying our food supply system thru smuggling and controlling the prices. I can see a lot of stories where goods are rotten not because of over-supply but because the cartels and businessmen are controlling nearly everything in our food chains for the sake of their big profits. Less supply means basic goods become expensive and less hassle for them since they no longer need to keep on buying and reselling if there is an oversupply.
