on a generally pretty good german online shop (caseking) the rx 470 4gb costs:
powercolor 244$
asus/gigabyte 256$
msi/sapphire 267$

thats higher than rx 480 msrp.

I saw price of £165 in the Scan.co.uk. That is the Sapphire brand. But you have to preorder the card now.

That Sapphire card has 8 pin PCIE power connector, so the power draw from the PCIE slot will be lower.

I like the 8Pin PCIE socket. That will have the potential to overclock the graphics card and have higher hash rate.

Lyra2v2 on the 1080 does 52 MHASH with the nanashi bins (1.7.6. release 12)

Is there an r12? I only ever found r10

470 is a 256 bit card, 24Mh is expected, but not for a 128 bit like the 460, you are mixing things up

Yes. the 460 will probobly be slower.

But the 470 retails at $149 for the 4gb version.

$149 will be $200 at launch and due to demand probably never at $149 but a bit higher

I agree with that. The 480 should be $200, but it is $250 or more in many countries. The demand is high.

How much power from wall? Or can you compare it from a 480

tdp is set at 110W

the tdp of the 480 is 150W

Nice. However probably next to impossible to buy due to shortages.

In a couple of weeks you can buy these 14nm cards from AMD.

Radeon 470
TDP: 110 watt
Retail Price: $159 (4gb)

Etherum classic hashrate stock clocks (23.5MHASH)

Radeon 460
TDP: 75 watt
Retail Price: $99 (2gb)

Etherum classic hashrate stock clocks (23.5MHASH)

2x 1070: $900 (52MHASH etherum classic)
9x 460:  $891 (211MHASH etherum classic)

retail for 1070 is $400, don't compare retail with initial price

but anyway you need 1.5 rig for 9 gpu against 1/3 rig lol

basically for 1 full rig of 1070 you need 4.5 rig of 460, this mean that the initial investment is much much bigger than you think

the consumption is also bigger, like 2x and last but not last, they are shit on every other algo....in the end this is not a right comparison

p.s. also from where you get 211MH for the 460? it is a 128 bit card, i doubt it can reach 20MH let alone surpass it..no way, it will be 15MH so x 9 you have only 130MH-150MH maximum

then ethereum* goes down a bit and you have useless cards.

Only on linux it seems..

You can pickup 2 cheap 970 cards and mine etherum classic @ 44MHASH
or stick with one 1070 for the same price and mine @ 5MHASH

lol it will be fixed, be patient please, it's not like you can't mine something else, which is more profitable right now, like lyra2 or lbry

1 1070 will do 33MH with oc at 140w or less, no reason to stay with maxwell seriously

44 MH gives better return than 33@140W

yeah but you need two rig against one, so more initial investment, so the comparison it's not really accurate

it's more like 44 vs 38-40, since with he the money you waste for the components that do not mine, of the second rig, i can buy another 1070

Windows 7/8/8.1 drivers with capabilities to mine eth at fulls speed (23mhs for 1080 FE stock)

Here is the current situation - i've only checked win7 (win8/8.1 should work the same) and it works (I've checked 1080 - but should be the same for any Pascal GPU)

To be able to test it there is only Titan X driver available for now from here http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/105685/en-us

You can check this guide on how to add your device to the driver - http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=377158

Do it at your own risk - but it worked with my GTX1080 FE

Thanks .  It works for win7 too but not for win10 .

can you post a screen? i want to see the real hashrate
