Tried all from 8000 up to 64000. That helped a little. I think it is mobo not giving enough to pcie-s, will try with 2 unpowered and 4 powered risers.
These cards look sensitive there... ( uh - and I am mining since early 2013 )

Anyone tried to set 6 x 1070 up? I'm getting "not enough resuources for 6th card"?

increase oage file to 8gb, i have a rig with six running with no issue

Hmm it's @ 64000 but no help. 16GB RAM, Z170GAMING K3 mobo, Pentium G4400, 1250W Gold CHIEFTEC, Win 7 and 368.81 drivers may be issue?

probably the mobo, wattage is more than enough, cpu is hardly a factor and win 7 and drivers are ok since i was using those before switching to win 10

p.s. you have a page file of 64gb?

Well I just realized what a fucked up bitch these nvidia voltage regulations are.

Underclocking the GPU core increases the power that you need because the driver feeds the chip a higher voltage. Therefore its useful with the current genoil miner to increase the gpu core speed to save some power( Roll Eyes), because the mining gpu speed is anyway locked at 1620 (atleast for my card) and reduce the power limit to 50%.

Core Clock -400 -> Voltage 1.043 V -> 77% TDP = 146 W
Core Clock +150 -> Voltage 0,76 V -> 54% TDP = 102 W

Have fun, it's really that retarded..

fyi

Sounds a bit crazy  Wink Guess I would check this card on another computer, different drivers.
I could see the logic here if it happened in some pre-set ranges.
Hard to believe voltage always goes down if you overclock. Have you checked this with some step values, lets say by 10?

It's caused by the Voltage/Frequency curve in MSI Afterburner. You can access it with ctrl+f.

Would anybody be able to help me with setting up Genoil 1.1.7?

Getting no help in this thread for ethereum set up let alone anything. All I can find when searching are guides for other miners or older versions of Genoil that have different files than what I have.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/how-to-actually-set-up-the-miner-and-pool-1579858

download windows 10 anniversary, unistall your previous drivers, let windows install the video drivers, run 1.1.7 genoil, you're done

I did all of it but those simple steps are missing the part about the .bat files that actually ties the miner to a pool and wallet address. Ultimately my problem was one character on the wallet address.

I was getting 25MH/s out of the box with my GTX 1070 FTW, 24 really when you factor those weak hashes.

Hardly even tweaked it and I already got it to 29MH/s running very steady, like I mean it is beautiful seeing how consistently it is reporting hashes on the spot and stable. MSI Afterburner is reporting the boost clock a good 300mhz above what this card is supposed to be. I think it might be an error. The current settings I have it on is -115 on the core clock to match the FE and I upped the memory clock by 500.

Power % in Afterburner says 70 out of 150 (however this specific 1070 has a TDP of 215 assuming that is supposed to be wattage)

I'm going to have some fun tweaking this one. I do not have a wall meter to estimate the wall draw from the card.

Based on linux hash rates, It seems safe to say my windows 10 performance is living it up.

Here's what i did.

I updated windows 10 to the anniversary update.

Installed the nvidia GeForce 369.09 WHQL drivers from here extract the files and click setup.exe http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?p=914554&mode=threaded

Im Mining using Genoil 1.1.7 didn't do any modifications. It just works.  I have 2 gtx 1070's btw.

Now i got it working after the annivesary update.
Thanks !

yeah but it's good to have a backup just in case, and etc might not go to pos

i still think that even if lbry will die, a new lbry will emerge, it's always like that in this place, endless p&d opportunity

It seems the speed is quite low, just 25 MH/s for each 1070. That is similar speed to the AMD RX 480.

Haha better than 4 mh per card. Maybe with more optimization in the future it could get higher.

Edit: nvm see above.

yeah it work for me too, even simpler, just let win 10 install the drivers, uninstall the precedent one that's it

now i'm getting 27MH at 120w, you need to increase the mem very high apparently like above +1000

with +600 on the mem i'm getting 30MH

no you can oc the mem to a crazy value like +1600 and you get 33MH and the wattage just increase by 20w, but you get 8MH more
