logically, selling bitcoin for 50% is like throwing money away, better use that money for development. From there we can interpret if the project is a scam

Too many scammers are lurking in this space to take everyone's hard or easy gained money They know so many noobs are entering this space for quick money so they prey on them and this is unfortunate. We need to get educated first instead of blundering in just for fast profits. So many of these noobs unfortunately are lazy as well and don;t want to take the time to read up and do due diligence so they fall for every scam available because of the promise of easy gains. The scammers always win because the lazy noobs that just want easy and fast money fall into their trap.

It's quite unfortunate that people still fall for cheap scam like this. When I see people get duped from giveaways, I ask myself why didn't they ask the giver to give them 50% instead of the lump sum. They wanted to get their funds double within a short period, forgetting that there are no free funds. Its a case of greed , if looking closely.

Last week, I found an airdrop project in Telegram called Marco Protocol, the airdrop looked decent at the first stage, I earned 200 MAPC tokens and that was instant! But you only can withdraw from your MAP wallet when Airdrop program will end, that's good, I am okay with it. Their airdrop tweet got 8K retweet and 9K likes, so, you can understand how hype it had!
But yesterday, they announced they are going to sell Bitcoin at a 50% discount to celebrate the halving. Can you imagine? 1 Bitcoin price is 8600 USD, people can buy by 4300$! I believe This is absolutely scam but many newbies already have fallen for that! As they saw MAPC has huge support in twitter, and they listed on CMC too.

I really feel for noobs that fall for this scammers, this is something to believe in, if newbies haven't done some major research on them. How could offering $4300 dollars for bitcoin when current price is too high, who don't like to gain?  Every investors purpose is to gain no matter the company's excess hyped on social media, like twitter and facebook. This is totally a scam and noobs be careful with such offer.

Airdrop projects like this are only sweet in the beginning, most of the airdrops are scam, hype and just to grab the user's sensation or attention. Beware of such airdrop projects and don't expect anything more about it.
I think so and there was more than 80% chance for the airdrop to be scam airdrops. I just aware if airdrop is always used by the scammers to fool the newbies. So many times the scammers have been stealing the KYC from the newbies who have participated in the airdrop.

Based on the results of my research on the MarcoPolo Protocol (MAP), this project has a very good promotion with airdrops
the hype in telegram at that time. But the projects team are scammers by announcing that they will sell Bitcoin at 50% discount,
this is very detrimental to the newbies who eventually get scams. We have to be careful with this kind of scams, don't greed
overpower your logic.

Scammers are Everywhere and can't be stopped because the more you try to get their tactics, the more the bring in more so best is for one not to be greedy especially newbies that has no knowledge of crypto and scams. Some come into crypto thinking it's a get rich quick by investing and getting scammed. Always check properly before you accept to pay anyone

Not some but most of newcomers things that this venue of investment is a easy access to richness,
scammers loves to play with this types of investors,

providing alluring offers and make some decent testimonials to make it more attractable.

There's lots of needs to keep yourself aways from scammers by doing your research before joining their offers.

One of the most common thing or reason on why people specially newcomers do really experienced on being scammed due to their wrong perception towards the market.

I highly believe that most of us does really have that kind of motive when jumping into this crypto market  which i cant deny when im still starting up on where i do firstly

experienced on joining up on HYIPs and ponzis yet to believe that i would be rich in no time but mistakes and experiences do really make me realize that things

doesnt work that way. Scamming and hacking situations do continue to exist as long there are people whom do keep on feeding those people.

I don't think that there would really be someone who would fall for this trick.
If only you knew the little stunts hunters fall prey to you would know that the trick OP talked about is even highly sophisticated out there. Anyway, those who fall prey to them are as dumb (so to speak) as their deceivers. I don't know whether to say it's greed that supersedes ignorance or the other way round for those who fall prey to these scammers. Most times there is something that gives the scammers away but hunters will choose not to be bothered by it. Airdrop chasers allow their greed to override their sense of reasoning. Greed and ignorance play important role to how somewhere reacts in the face of mouth watery giveaway promises. Honestly, hunters should just slow down on all these airdrop chase. Hunters should learn the act of reading and assimilation before applying for any airdrop or bounties after going through the proposals.

As long as airdrops are free you're not risking anything.

I agree that most airdrops these days are scam but that is because the scammers have learned that people will go to great lenghts to get the coins they were waiting for. So they put hurdles in front of them like:
-do KYC
-make a deposit
-get xxx referrals
and hope to get people in a spiral of slavery for a few bucks.
The scammers are not asking the KYC to provide them the coins but to sell those data and make money and some are so dumb that they would go to any lengths to get a few pennies and that is the reason the scammers are eyeing the cryptocurrency market as it is so easy to prey on these dummies even if there are several examples in front of them.

50% discount is not a red flag on my book for scams. They might just want to get some attention with limited discount for first come first server investor and later stop it. I might be wrong since you're the one in their airdrop so you should know better than me.

Their airdrop tweet got 8K retweet and 9K likes, so, you can understand how hype it had!
This is not a big deal. Anyone can buy fake likes and retweet with cheap rate.

This is an old style of scam. But very difficult for the newbie's to figure out. Generally they fall a victim to this type of scam.

This is so true , newbies have to be advised against scammers . there are somany many ways  they operate now and if you are not wise and careful you may fall into their trap . it only a pity that even some old crypto dudes also fall for some of these cheap scam. i think  One can enjoy the cryptoworld and overcome scammers   if you put greed aside.
For newbie I think it's difficult to resist desire to get a large profit when there are projects offer lucrative rewards. The nature of our greed as beginners must arise, but when we get scam, then that is a lesson for us to be more careful in the future.
And that's because someone thinks that investing in crypto can make you rich overnight. but not for me I know that crypto is a profitable investment but if the project is real like BTC, ETH, BNB etc. Be a wise investor.

Classic deception scheme: first, there is a light airdrop, and then a sale of bitcoin or ether with a huge discount! How many times has this happened and the scheme does not stop working if fraudsters use it again and again. Please be careful not to fall for such tricks - this is 100% deception.

Bitcoin at half the price, are you serious?  Are they creating their own set of Bitcoin or its the same twenty one million bitcoin that satoshi nakamoto created that they intend to sell for a fifty percent discount when Satoshi himself did not auction and the whole world is still looking for the bitcoin even as the prices are still skyrocketing.

Sincerely, that could be seriously disgusting.  The issue is that, no matter how you warn some people with numerous glaring pointers of scam, they won't hear or listen until they fall for it.  Some prefer to learn by themselves than taking the lessons from someone that has gone ahead.  The behavior of some people have actually identified them that they are not ready to learn as a starter but just want to make money quick quick.  That's why many of such fall into the wrong hands.
