Last week, I found an airdrop project in Telegram called Marco Protocol, the airdrop looked decent at the first stage, I earned 200 MAPC tokens and that was instant! But you only can withdraw from your MAP wallet when Airdrop program will end, that's good, I am okay with it. Their airdrop tweet got 8K retweet and 9K likes, so, you can understand how hype it had!
But yesterday, they announced they are going to sell Bitcoin at a 50% discount to celebrate the halving. Can you imagine? 1 Bitcoin price is 8600 USD, people can buy by 4300$! I believe This is absolutely scam but many newbies already have fallen for that! As they saw MAPC has huge support in twitter, and they listed on CMC too.

50% off announcement: https://t.me/MAP_POB_channel/87
That is obviously very fishy and most likely it is a scam, that is nothing more than a bitcoin doubler with a twist to make it seem legitimate, however while I understand your frustration with what it is happening things are very different than they were years ago, now almost any bounty or airdrop is not worth your time, they will ask for your personal information or they will try to scam you for money, I recommend that you stop wasting your time with such projects.

I think it becomes their main spear to promote their tokens by giving a big discount even though it is certainly impossible and that's what I say SCAM. a good marketing strategy will be important to attract investors. but seeing a discount like that I'm sure many people will be interested and surely they will give their money for it, everyone wants to have the rest of bitcoin right now especially when the price can be very cheap as the platform has to offer.

I'm not really surprise anymore about those pranks and unnecessary hypes some shit airdrops or project gets.  Scammers are just everyone and I guess everyone is dam tired too.  Just 3 days ago I complained on the telegram of BCNEX exchange that I withdrew ETH but for over a month now I have not received it in my wallet.   I have opened two support tickets but all to no avail.  Several people also complained of the same thing on the telegram.  Just a couple of minutes later, a scammer impersonating the admin private message me and said if I want my transaction to be fast I need to send a processing fee of 0.05BTC to one wallet address he is going to generate, he now told me the fee is refundable.  I quickly blocked him on my telegram.  Several newbies have fallen victims of these people.
Newbies must be very careful, learn from this platform before taking any step because scammers are just all over.

LOL, 50% discount on BTC, that alone is a complete BS, that's a scam, any project offering that is not giving us an opportunity, they are just scamming us. No wonder people think that majority of the altcoins are scams, because of that, and hopefully by the effort of people who are active in sharing some valuable information, it will serve for the newbie as a warning.

Only stupid people who are stuck with that talk where there is a discount price of bitcoin can reach 50%, it really does not exist and I think this is real fraud with the lure of big discounts.
To be honest, I don't believe in selling altcoin on a new project with lots of discounts, even though it's already busy in the conversation, it won't take long and makes investors miserable.

I really don't believe that Airdrop MAPC does this kind of stupid thing.

They can fake this hype with a large number of accounts, so I think it won't be too big for a tweet. And for the fact that they want to sell Bitcoin for $ 4,000 to celebrate halving, I am a little suspicious of their reputation. If they want investors to send money to them to receive bitcoin at that price, it is certainly a scam

I don't think that there would really be someone who would fall for this trick.
8K retweet and 9K likes doesn't really seem's big if you'll ask me there are so many fake accounts so this could easily be done by them.
And for newbie's I don't really think that they would easily be tricked by that who would even believe it?

Those 8K retweet and 9K likes can easily be bought in countries in Asia. My estimate is that probably 99% of them are fake/bought.

50% is too much and we can't deny the fact that there will still people who will fall for this trap. It already happened a couple of times and this trick has been used by scammers before. Some people grab the opportunity to buy at a very low price despite the risk of being scammed. We should really get rid of this kind of offer.
Yes it is a good opportunity but at the same time it is very suspicious for no company will sell their 1 bitcoin for half of its price but yes we can't take the fact that newbies tend to fall for that for they do no have concrete knowledge about scammers but i think we should laugh at those scammers nowadays for we can search everything and be guided. Even though the company that responsible for the airdrop is good for it really gives you coins you should always step back once things looks bad.

I know this airdrop,it was the hype of the crypto community, everyone wanted to participate because the token is already tradeable though reward seem small because of the swap rate, but talking about promo as regards halving with 50% slash, that's way impossible, everyone should be careful so as not to feed scammers.

It's different results when it comes to airdrops rewards, some make good profits from Airdrops while others get only penny rewards, the best airdrops are referring tasks, reward is always good if you have many friends
The OP should be aware that this is 2020 the era of earning decent amount of coin while airdropping is gone for good despite all the hypes about the coin many newbies would be caught into the trap. you had said  my mind  getting some good profits is very rear while the entire cryptosphere is full of many airdrops producing shitcoins. I never bother with any forms of airdropping afterall the end result is a worthless coin.

It's part of the game, there are people who can't and don't want to play fair and about your post, it's too good to be true, this is what scammers love to present something very tempting that it's hard for you to resist but the thing is you need to apply logic on what they are going to offer something that is something outrageous and too good to be true.

Total crap and there is no reason to join the scammer's telegram group. Whoever joins this group just for being curious, I recommend stop it, so HYPE will slow down a bit. The crypto Twitter is full of scammers and bag shillers, they only care about creating HYPE and selling their false dreams to the newbies. Watch your balances, this is the only an indicator under similar situations.

It's not a new trick why you guys always fall into these. Right now 90% airdrops are fake and some group of scammer doing these for many days. I think there are several groups from mostly south Asia who are doing this kind of thing. I also know one group that I listed from my friends he knew them. He told me they make one project promote them then listed it in forkdelta and dump the price. They do this again and again. Be careful with these guys.

anyone will be seduced when at the beginning of the walk you already get a free token and it really exists and is real. with all the strategies that are built make us who have gotten tokens really believe what is said.
actually one day they will do something that doesn't make sense and here we have to think clearly and start thinking, is that trustworthy? mostly because they are complacent they forget that they have been caught in a trap of lies.

It is unfortunate that there are still many friends who can be fooled in this unreasonable way. concerned about something like this.

I can across Marco protocol airdrop as well but I don't like joining airdrops that aren't trading anymore, last year I joined over 30 airdrops and only like 5 airdrops send the tokens and like only 2 have good value since then I don't join Airdrops anyhow

Can't believe people would still fall for that kind of trick. Isn't that obvious of a scam? Who the hell would give their money, imagine if that was true, 4300 USD multiplied by the numbers of tweeter followers or telegram users who would take the bait? Do the math and you'll know. There could only be one way for their money and there is no returning back. They could've just give the 4K USD directly to their followers and let them buy half of a bitcoin by themselves if that is really legit.

i am prefer to see they will prove their offer or just be scammer on market now. its not realistice to sell bitcoin with 50% discount. as investors we should not trapped in this promotion, it might be fake and we will loss our money here. for airdrop as long as we didnt spend any money we could join it. maybe if its be scamm projects we just lost our energy and time only.

I wonder how many people will buy bitcoin at a 50% discount price Grin

Many people will think that it is a scam because of how it can be possible to buy bitcoin at a half-price because, in the exchanges, bitcoin price is sold at $8600. But if new people don't try to search the truth, they can fall by that, and they can buy "discount bitcoin" while its available, but I hope that people now are smart to think that is not possible.
