Almost 95% airdrops are scams and scammers are doing new ways for cheating with hunters. We should be careful about such type of fake airdrops. They collect our valuable information and can hack our PC or wallet. Don't connect your wallet in this type of airdrops.
this is a word of wisdom right here
airdrops are the worst because most of the people think they can't lose anything since there is no payment to hop on to it.
information and wallet access are worth most of our money

Hi Crypto Friends :)

Last week, I found an airdrop project in Telegram called Marco Protocol, the airdrop looked decent at the first stage, I earned 200 MAPC tokens and that was instant! But you only can withdraw from your MAP wallet when Airdrop program will end, that's good, I am okay with it. Their airdrop tweet got 8K retweet and 9K likes, so, you can understand how hype it had!
But yesterday, they announced they are going to sell Bitcoin at a 50% discount to celebrate the halving. Can you imagine? 1 Bitcoin price is 8600 USD, people can buy by 4300$! I believe This is absolutely scam but many newbies already have fallen for that! As they saw MAPC has huge support in twitter, and they listed on CMC too.

50% off announcement: https://t.me/MAP_POB_channel/87

I did not find much information about this project, Marco Protocol. If you initially believed in this project, it seems that after they came with the BTC offer, they themselves showed that they are SCAM. They are probably not very experienced in SCAM projects. I rarely attend an airdrop. Once these airdrops were profitable, today they are just a waste of time.

Yep, 99% of them will turn out to be scams or worthless. It's all about finding the 1% or "Diamond in the rough" airdrop that will bring you good monies.

What is in for the team or what do they stand to gain through such? This is the first question that should always come to mind in this type of cases. Even if they are too generous, selling Bitcoin at 50% discount is enough reason to show the users or members that something is wrong. Well as humans, we all know people will fall for that mostly because it is Bitcoin without taking time to ask questions. I see it as this; they used the airdrop to attract users, made it as attractive as possible, have good twitter activities then showcased their true intentions which is make money off gullible users. Let people always try and look beyond whatever that is being showcased and ask the right questions because scammers are getting wiser and looking for more ways to scam.

Well, getting engage into any airdrop event is such a privilege which I can remember way back the good old days of year 2017 wherein lots of projects do offer bounty campaigns as well as airdrop events to promote their token for that specific project. Nowadays, it seems rare to find an airdrop that is legible and reliable in a sense that you can do really have earn a token with desirable value because there are some cases that tokens being brought into airdrop cannot be withdrawn or does not have a real value at all.

Talking about the 50% discount to avail having 1 Bitcoin for just half a price seems to be already suspicious at first glance because who will sell 1 Bitcoin for such price? The aim of that scheme is just to collect money on my perception which is really obvious and if you are already stayed for long in this industry, you will not fall for that. Maybe newbies will but if they would take some time to think about it, it was really obvious that it is impossible. So the important thing is that you must be able to let yourself be knowledgeable as a newbie if you want to avoid getting scammed so that you can enjoy your journey in the crypto community.

Only new comers and fools will fall for that trick, well those scammers will not stop from deceiving others even if they may themselves look like a fool too but just like what I  have said there are still investors or people who fall for this kind of simple tricks also they don't limit themselves to this tricks known professional scammers created a platform, project, website, held an ICO or IEO and even run a bounty campaign but they need so much time and effort for this.

Just like they have said experience is the best teacher and I think through their mistakes they will  be able to learn a valuable lesson.

it can happen, and it's not a fraud because some large exchanges have sold btc or altcoin at a 50% discount but for MAP this can scam or not see it later
If reputable exchanges will sell big discount then no doubt to get offer and as per as it’s very transparent way. MarcoPolo Protocol is new project how we can believe. MAP give away competition is conducting in the KucoinPlay platform i think this is not scam project. KucoinPlay didn’t list the project if looking fraudulent.

Categorically this industry is full of some good and bad projects across board and if time not taken one could easily fall prey to their scamming. As a newborn to cryptocurrency, you're advise to always study hard in order to distinguish good bounty or airdrop from the bad ones promoted or promoting by scammers all over the places.

This scam was just too obvious to have know by these newborn that, these types of bonus from a good project will not as high as it was. 50% discounts is very pretty much to see as true discount.

Many newbie accounts with capital Cooper member has become a bounty manager even though the new account is made do we just believe it? Even though the newbie has not fully understood cryptocurrency, I was a little doubtful if there was a bounty that was managed with a newbie account with a cooper member.

Projects that make large discounts on sales will not be good or even tend to make no sense if in the future it will definitely be badly dumped because many tokens are owned because of the discount.
I don't think those with cooper members are not new. I just think they are managers with a bad reputation who use new accounts to get more participants.

Get used to these scam projects anyways, all you need is to avoid or ignore them, there is no effective way to get rid of scam projects, it's never going to work, just do good diggings and you will be good , only lazy ass will get ruined by scammers
That is really true, only a lazy user who will fall to scam project more and more. You don't need a long time ti understand and spotted the legit and scam project because as far as I know there some threads who tell you about how to spot and differentiate the scam/legit project. I think this forum is not like most another forum, you have a chance to get money but you need to learn as well how to get it so as you will really get money. I have never find this kind of forum out there, you have to be grateful to know this forum.

If disgusted with scammers I think that's good, but if we blame beginners who don't understand anything, I think it's too much. because the beginners here need guidance from seniors to go towards a better direction. therefore we should not always blame beginners in building their confidence. even many beginners are victims of scammers.

terrible on how things has gone bad. New scams are coming up everyday and most people who has no idea of ho these things are designed fall for it. i was meant to understand recently that new projects has resort to forks and halving as a new means of scamming people. what worries the most is that we will not see the end of this stuffs. it is time for regulation.
Yes, and if there are good regulations on new projects, it will definitely be very helpful for project hunters and investors, because at the moment there are very many new projects that are unclear, so beginners who are not familiar with new projects will always be fooled by developers who are scammers.
well indeed for traders do not have much experience to be able to determine whether the project is a scam or not, but at least you can participate in all projects and understand the concept of the project they developed so that when there are scam projects it will be easy to know because of that you will have an experience.

There are no regulations that can stop scammers from scamming people. The only thing we can do is to be more careful when we plan to spend our money or time, on whatever. People are blinded with profit and it's only what they see after they lose some money they start to think more about everything.
We are all fed up with scammers and newbies. Sometimes it makes me tired to be careful all the time and to recheck everything you see, but it's what we need to do if we don't wish to end up scammed.

I also followed the MAP airdrop and this is really good, for BTC which is sold at a 50% discount I think this is also true, but there must be certain conditions to get it and not many BTC is sold.
I have also seen an exchange do the same thing and there is no problem.

8k retweet is not really big. I guess you are saying this because of the little experience you have had in crypto. By the way, I do not think airdrop should be considered as good means of livelihood anymore. You have told us how many airdrops you realized but I much do that translate into if converted to dollars. To cut the story short, selling bitcoin half of the price is a clear indication of a fake project. sorry for the waste of time and energy. I suppose only gullible individuals will fall for the scam.

Hi Crypto Friends :)
March 08, 2020, 07:33:32 PM
I don't think that there would really be someone who would fall for this trick.
8K retweet and 9K likes doesn't really seem's big if you'll ask me there are so many fake accounts so this could easily be done by them.
And for newbie's I don't really think that they would easily be tricked by that who would even believe it?

of course beginners will be easily tempted, otherwise how could the hype or other tricks to trick them into continuing.
yes that's because of the lack of knowledge of people who join crypto so they are easily tempted by the lure of big profits.
for example the liza coin hype and halbing in the yobit market a few years ago, wouldn't that be one of the biggest hype, because my friend was also tempted by the promised profit.

Promised profit is pretty much always a lie unfortunately. I would imagine that everyone would love the idea of having a 100% guarantee that there is such a thing as guaranteed profit in this space, but that's probably one of the biggest red flags when it comes to crypto since in crypto...there's no such thing as "guaranteed profit".
