ICO, high risk, but potentially high upside if you bet on the right one. However, if you place your bet on a bad one, you can lose your investment.
I would first determine your objectives and your own personality: how much risk do you want, how much time do you want to spend on it per day.
If you prefer the lowest risk in crypto and dont'want to spend time each day, buy btc from your eth and hodl.
If you have a little time to spend, you can also make money from trading crypto.
I would only invest in ICOs if you time to invest in doing a lot of research and if you are willing to risk a lot.
Remember the savedroid ICO; great ICO on paper, and then the CEO executed the worst PR stunt ever by pretending it was a scam. My bet is that the tokens are worthless now, because they have killed their reputation and everybody will dump their tokens once it gets listed.
So suppose you did a lot research and invested in this ICO, you will probably have regrets you did and wished you invested in something else.

If I were in your shoes, I would hesitate to invest in ICO now. Most, not all failed and get dump when token was released in an exchange especially if the ICO has bonus and bounty campaigns. Imagine would care to hold the tokens you got for free? Some people think that way and you can't stop them to dump their tokens when it hits exchange. I've seen a lot of them and it seems like a trend now since crypto market is still recovering. But that didn't mean I would not recommend participating in ICOs since it has higher ROI if it succeed.

What I do recommend is to participate some portion of it to ICOs that you believe in. You must do your own diligence on finding the ICOs that you will invest in and not just by the recommendation of some YouTubers, bloggers and even your friends! Remember that some ICOs do not  have a proven project. Just the idea itself and they will use the money from investors in presale and ICO to implement their ideas.

My best recommendation is to invest the majority of your money in existing tokens/coins that already proven their value in the crypto world. Comparing the price of these coins today from January, most of them are up to 50% OFF or even MORE!!! Imagine buying coins with that huge sale! This is just my opinion and hope you got idea from it. Just keep on educating yourself about crypto to minimize your risk in this volatile market.

I think it's wiser you divide and invest half in ICOs. Just be sure it is a legitimate one. You will have rewards for your half remaining holdings and more from the returns you get from ICO investments.

yes, don’t spend all your ETH for ICO. Best to half or 30 percent to invest in ICO’s. Because not all the ICO will bring you a profit. Read the white paper and project before investing. good luck

No one gives you correct information, better you do your own research and the find best ICO and think whether you want to invest or not. previously investment in ICOs are more profitable, recent time even the market also not so supportive.

My suggestion will be to remain invested with ETH as it is expected to grow very fast in the coming months. Some people are saying that by the end of next year, it will replace bitcoins as number 1 currency in terms of price. That much growth might not be possible but you will certainly get more returns with ETH than bitcoins.
