If you get the ICO who have good quality certainly will not be so like that. Decision making before you choose to join it are very important. Holding the token for a very long time I think it is also very important.
Always be careful before entering and joining ICO. There are so many ICOs available with a wide variety of concepts and prospects, choose ICO with good prospects with a team that is compact and has a quality performance. Especially with the ICO scam, you should be more careful. Crypto is created to work together in symbiotic mutualism with the participants. But just because ICO is a scam and you are not good at choosing ICO it makes the ICO image ugly in your eyes.

People invest in ICO to get profit, they will always sell their token or coin we should find the right time to sell it. But unfortunately some of ICO are scam project. I really suggest to all investor to do research before investing. Look at the team, team member must more than 5 people who have good skill and experience. I do not even know if ICO will trust the ICOs to invest because they have a vision but ICOs are not just that you can invest more like ICO bench can try differently bitcoin altcoins are there.
You are very right not to believe. We spend so much effort to support the projects. Many are saying that they can not make soft caps. Investors' money is being refunded, but our labor is absolutely unrequited.
That's the risk if you participating on a bounty campaign of an ICO, if the ICO is not successful then there is nothing we could do about it because even if they give us the token it is worth nothing. That is part of the gamble. 
It doesn't really matter if you trust ICO or not! The Ship of the ICO have already left dockyard and is sailing already! ICO is becoming very important and stratergic in cryptocurrency snd possibilies that it holds!

Some people say that 80% of the ICOs are created scams and/or fail. But it doesn't mean that all are totally scam. We just need to be smart in choosing the right ICO'S.
I participated in many ico , 30% of them did not meet my expectations .
this is normal, most of the ico does not meet expectations . But you must learn to choose only good projects
You should take better ICO than those ICO that you picked. Its all about picking the good ICO. If you take the wrong ICO then might your investment won't return.
hmm probably because you never do your background check. There are some legits ICO projects out there you just need to check the team behind on it, what is their roaddmaps. Is there enough crowd who are active in the group of investors? There are signs that an ICO projects are good though.
If you do good research, you will find the right ICO. 80% of ICOs entering the market are not making money. People are collecting money and running away.

There was no need to hurry to participate in these ICOs. I convince my friends to treat investing in ICO with great caution. And if they have already bought tokens of a new project, then they should prepare for a long-term holding because no sooner than six months later it will be possible to make an objective conclusion about the prospects of project.1. 3 projects ? it's small . many people invest in 10-20-30 projects , you just have no luck
It's better to invest in altcoins than ico, it's very dangerous and it's happening to the majority so it's better if altcoin invest.

I don't think there is anything to do, between the price slump of the bitcoin and ethereum with ICO project. If the price of the bitcoin and ethereum has decreased, then investors in ICO are also seem to be reduced. It is possible that rewards to bounty also could not be as big as expected. because the price of a token is also surely low.
