You are very brave to hold, unfortunately due to dire economic circumstances because I lost 99% of the value of my portfolio since January because I was holding, I need to fold now 505 of that last 1% I got so I can survive and pay my bills and eat for the next 3 months or I will be homeless. That is where crypto has gotten me in 2018. All I had made in 2017 has been wiped out and is almost worthless. From now on if I make any money in Crypto this year I will take out 80% of what I earn to make sure I have money in the bank and just save the 205 in crypto, I can't afford to take these risks having all my money in crypto anymore, good luck with hodling all of it. I can't afford to just hodl anymore.

I don't even look at the price anymore. Just looked today after a few days... Eth is now being negotiated at 480. LOL
Nobody knows how much my portfolio is worth. I will hold for a few years. I am not going to sell now, even if it were 10x more than it is now, so why would I care for the price now?

sometimes, not doing anything is the best move. bitcoin is still at it's early phase inspite being on the planet for 9 years already. i think it needs more time to mature and get people to adapt. when that happens, imagine how much your btc/eth will be worth then.

Not checking portfolio right now is a wise move since it can affect our decision but atleast consider the gains you will earn once a bull run start, who knows if you hold it for a long time you might miss a lot of gains. The same here, not checking the portfolio all the time. Bearish market will end at some point and waiting for it with patience. The fundamentals has not changed it is a normal correction. If we were accepting half Year long parabolic rise we also have to accept declining market as a normal part of the business.

At least let someone know that you have an active investment so that if anything bad happen to you. You don't need to go into details. Someone can recover what you have left behind. Your investment will go to waste if no one can recover it and use it for what ever purpose. Consider it as something that a loved one can inherit.Nobody knows how much my portfolio is worth. My wife knows that I have Bitcoins but she doesn't know how much its worth now and many. All she knows is I have a Bitcoin. I have a book that contains passwords and instructions on how to recover those coins. Its up to her if she wants to recover it now while I'm still around.

Been overtly concern about price of bitcoin or Altcoin is a faster way to lose on opportunity that may bring you profit you never could imagine. I think it is easier not to keep checking on bitcoin price, it will save you time and you will worry less!

I believe that’s fair. It’s a good decision because you can keep your mental health good by doing so. I think that looking at the price of your portfolio on the every day basis may affect your nerves so you may start suffering from them.
It’s also a good strategy to learn about prices once in a while though, just to keep yourself aware.

At least let someone know that you have an active investment so that if anything bad happen to you. You don't need to go into details. Someone can recover what you have left behind. Correct. If you have strong faith on the technology of blockchain, you will know that you will get insanely rich at end just by holding continuously. We will laugh to those panic sellers who are only for a short period while we are driving a collection of our lambos in the future.
Panic selling does not solve anything but it seems those people that do it are unaware of that, they are only driving the price down for everyone else but at the same time they are giving away their bitcoin to the whales which only become bigger as time passes, they do not understand that if they just held their coins by the long term they will recover heir losses and more but if they like to lose money that is their call.I don’t really think so that remaining unaware of the things which happen in the world of the crypto currencies especially when you talk about the market value of the crypto coin is a very good thing to do. It depends for me though. There are moments where I completely disregard the market, but in some cases I have to keep an eye on it in order to benefit from dips, and from time to time the dips are actually worth buying.I know the long term price will increase, so why should I not put more fiat to work and have an even better return later on? Fiat in current low interest times is worthless when it's not doing anything.
With that in mind, and potential economical difficulties we may be facing in the coming years, it would be pretty stupid to not act while the opportunity is here for everyone to use. It's just a matter of logical thinking.

The sure thing i do is bought at lower price if some of my investment get low in price to accumulate more. Then i always stop seeing the price every hour now.
The only thing that matter is the decision that we will be made along the road. We must keep focus and not to be distracted, I don't trade much and I just want my money to grow over time. Good for you brother and how very optimistic of you in this world full of weak hands. And actually not looking at the price can help us not to get panic and worry that can lead to panic sell. And in that confidence it seems you have some promising coins with you that gain your trust enough. Would you mind sharing those coins you hold?

I like the idea of long term holding, but my advice is to monitor the markets as nowadays investing in Crypto is a risky business and there is possibility for your coin to go to near to zero. I believe in the blockchain technology as well and I am sure some coins will be worth a fortune in couple of Years.
The market will decide which ones and this is why we have to be informed what is happening to make good decision and jump on the train on time.

it is a great time to buy ETH now. you can buy ETH for invest some projects or hold until the highest price. it's a good strategy
