That's also a good decisions by not looking the price for the meantime. Everytime I looked into the price I had the attempt to sell, but the market these days are not good. I just hold mine for the reason's price may climb at any moment.

let's do a challenge
and i invite others to join also. we can be two groups.
one group will HODL bitcoin and call that "portfolio" and only trade altcoins for short term by joining their pumps and dump them before they get dumped.
and the other group HODL their bags of altcoins and call it "portfolio"
then lets see who will be worth more in long term. we can start with $1000 worth of investment.

Not everybody is taking it cool like you are; Kudos to you. I watch how quite a number of people open threads just to complain of how low and frustrating the recent price is going. I personally don't blame them because I have been in the same situation but glad i finally learned for i am hodling too. Though, i don't know about not checking the price; at least I still do that. Most times i check ones or twice a week and i think its good just to be on a safer side.

That is what we need in our life now, to stay positive especially here in bitcoin that the price is so unstable, so for me stay calm for now is the best way, take time to relax, go and do something else so you cannot see the price regularly, or better to buy more now bitcoin.

That's a decision which suits yourself, if you can really go for years and not take note of the price that would be an achievement, I have become so obsessed with checking several times throughout the day, maybe it would work if I just took a step back and checked only on a weekly basis but then because so much can happen in a day I would feel like I have been away for a year Nobody knows how much my portfolio is worth. If you don't actually care about the price then you won't even bother to post here. Nobody knows how much your portfolio worth and actually nobody even care as we don't even gain anything and what you did here is just asking for compliment and recognition about why you become ignorant about your investment after such downfall. First thing to do before investing in high risk investment like cryptocurrencies is to calculated your risk !! And what you're doing here is just the same thing everyone will do when something go out of your control. Just let it go and wait

This type of strategy or that kind of mindset of yours has positive and negative effects, if you don't care about the price now it will make you feel comfortable and relax it will not caused you panics that will lead to bad decisions, but for that is studying and understanding the market every movement of the price for me is important but it cause me panic and i made some bad decision but i learn something from it making sure that it will never happen again.
Yes it has mostly negative cause if you won't care about how much you spend you'll be bankrupt or broke in no time. The OP is hiding his portfolio who knows he/she might have had little investment so he/she won't care too much.

That is the mind some of us need to have now in other to be able to hold and not selling our coins out of panic. Bitcoin and ethereum has recovery from the low we have recorded yesterday and I think we have to keep on holding in other to make it big in future. We should have a long time views and plan.

Hope that somebody will realize that too, that seeing the price every now and then is really making you pissed off, and nothing will be benefited from it, so better to just look at the price at least once a day and not every hour. I am focusing on one goal and that is to have at least one bitcoin before the year ends.

I am not exactly sure about the purpose of this post. Are you gloating that you have a huge portfolio? Are you suggesting small time traders to hold despite an uneasy market? I mean really? what is the point here?

Up to you, it's your asset you can do anything you want. Your decisions is good and I believe most people will do the same and some of them will sell their asset for cut loss. Maybe in next post you can also share your analyze that make you have powerful faith to hold? for knowledge only. I like people with faith, specially if they disciplines with their rules. if each investor thinking like you , price would not fall like now.no one being week hand and still hold their portofolio and cryptocurrency price could be more stable.but with this condition we hope the best and do all the best to make crypto market great again. I think right now, we are facing a bearish season in cryptocurrency. All of our coin seems to be in a red days! The only thing we need to do is to hold and have a patience in our traded coins! Because time will come, the price will just move up. I have also bitcoin and other altcoins in my portfolio. Last week, I planned to sell all of it and turn to fiat but I did not do it. Instead, I decided to hold and wait for the bullish season to come.

Well, at this time, the best thing to do is just hold because if we sell today, it wouldn't make sense just to cut losses. Almost everyone here losses so much, some has advises us to just get out early, but I chooses to stay because this is just a test, more of a mental test to see how tough are we in holding our coins.
So I'm also not worried, this storm will calm and go, and at the end, we will see bitcoin and crypto rebounding from all this challenges and you will be happy for being tough as a nail and did not panic in this crisis.
And yes, better stop monitoring the price cause it will just give you reasons to panic and sell it immediately. lol.

really, if you are sure of your choice of coin then you should go and forget what you are investing now because even though you are currently monitoring may be the sadness that you will feel right now.
Yep, the best way is to stop monitoring the price every day, you may see an unusual movement in the price that would trigger you for selling plus the negative news about the cryptocurrencies would affect your will to resist of selling, better to do something else by making yourself busy that would completely isolate your attention on the price charts, if you truly believe in your portfolio that it may last that long and may recover from the crashes you can do that, holding a useless coins are worthless to hold in a long run. Everything is turn into RED and yes this is why cryptocurrency consider as risky investment and it's worth because the profit is more than you can earn than ordinary trading !

Hodling is good but I hope you got your initial investment back from the market. You need to should at least sell the initial investment you did so that the only coins left would be your net profit and you wouldn't have to care about where the price goes.
