Bitcoin is good, but you should make investment in different altcoins. I think, that altcoins price will grow up faster. Now is a good time to buy altcoins because they are not expensive.

12 BTC is very huge amount in cryptoworld.you can do anything with this much amount like investing, gambling, trading etc.I give first priority to trading.if you have good knowledge about trading then i suggest you to do it beacause it's more profitable than any other but it's also quite risky.
I never suggest you to do gambling beacuse it's vwry addictive and you can loss your all money into gambling.
And the third option is investment.nowdays btc price go to very down so i suggest you to invest in btc as more as possible.you can also invest into altcoins like ETH,XRP etc.you can also inveat into any good ICO and acheive the huge profits.

Edit: My current portfolio:
VeChain 80%
Ethereum 10%
Bitcoin 10%
You are very lucky in trading with crypto currency, you are doing everything right, but I think that keeping 80% of investments in VeChain is a bit risky. It is safer to invest in several different coins.  Smiley

Diversify!!
the market is definitely super volatile right now and you dont want to get caught with your pants down.
I'd convert 50% to ETH and put them into ICOs of alt coins.

I have 12 Bitcoins. I am not a whale. I started about 6 months ago with 0.01 Bitcoins and $1000. I turned it into 12 Bitcoins so far and am pretty proud to say the least.

My question is, what do I do now?

As far as I can see, I have 4 options;

1) Hold the Bitcoin

2) Invest in altcoins and leave a little in Bitcoin

3) Fund a project and start my own cryptocurrency that solves a problem that current currencies face (scalability, Tx fees etc.). With the funds, I would be able to assemble a team, start a marketing campaign, get listed on exchanges etc. I am also a programmer which helps.

4) Convert it to fiat (probably the dumbest idea)

Edit: I should also add, I dropped out of school and have all the time in the world so can fully commit to any idea. I will earn my living of cryptocurrencies.

A few people have asked how I made my money so, if you are interested, here is a short summary:

Initially, I put it all into Bitcoin during the massive FUD of the fork around June when Bitcoin dipped to $1,900. Then I put half my money into NEO before all of the hype at around $12 and cashed out at $40. Then I invested in a couple ICO's and turned a pretty good profit of off the hype. After that, I got back in on NEO as soon as China announced the regulations regarding ICO's and rode the wave back from around $20 to $40 (I can't quite remember). Then, I rode the hype of Ethereum Dark, eBitcoin and a few other airdrop scams. Finally, I got in on Wincoin before it got to coinmarketcap and turned a 20x profit.

I think the money should be often in the play continues so you have to invest so that your old age will not be in mind again because it already has money for the future and I think you can invest in Neo because I see the current development is very good neo san for the future may be like eth and many tokens that have good quality

Congratulations! You will very quickly managed to earn a slight state of almost 120 thousand dollars. If I were in your shoes, I would take the option №2. I do not know how to program or invent new ideas for my ICO. Diversifying your assets, the best option.

I think you still continue to hold bitcoin, you can also spend some money to invest in altcoins, the purchase of Ferrari is indeed stupid, because it will not only value devaluation, I am very interested in your experience, and I hope you can share your bitcoin investment experience.

You already have that 12 bitcoin now, I suggest that 80% of it hold it so that your value of bitcoin in the future will increase. 20% of it suggested to convert it it now in order for to feel now the benefits in investing in Bitcoin perhaps that bitcoin was purchase when the value of bitcoin still low.

You have done very well, I think yu should just continue doing what you are doing and invest in some PRE ICOS and just keep holding some of the very good projects and some Ethereum, EOS, NEO, VEN, ICON. STRATIS, CARDANO as a hedge while you play with the rest of the funds. Check out PPT and COSS as well, they are due for some serious upside in the next three to six months. I think you will become a crypto millionaire in no time at this rate.

If you really earned 12 BTC  with an initial capital of 0.01 Bitcoins and 1000$. Why do you need someone else's opinion? You are already a professional.
surely everyone still needs the opinions of others because above we are still many people who are smarter of course we are so not to be like that

when i become you i will keep it.
altcoin is currently too unpredictable, too much pump and dump from developers that make altcoin prices unstable.
I would choose to store bitcoin because bitcoin has a price stability that is highly unlikely to plunge freely.
keep it and relax on the couch, then next year you will find yourself on the moon.

If i was in your situation which would be very likely impossible to happen, i would cash out some of it and invest the 90% unto bitcoin or other altcoins that has potential and good technology behind. You think it wouldn't be wise to cashing out money but it is also important to have capital gains, i mean none of it is real unless you convert it in your fiat currency. I think you're good at what your doin so keep it up, just dont forget spend some sometimes.

if i have 12 bitcoin then i will choose the second option, that is invest in altcoin and leave a bit in bitcoin, both equally able to walk and can invest coin in altcoin, but of course by observing first coin which is nice and suitable to be invested

You should divide the 12 bitcoins that were earned into 3 parts:
1. Hold BTC
2. Hold ETH
3. Trade altcoin
