I think you can wait some while. Bitcoin may boost in 2018 and can hit 20k again.
If it rises over 20k, I cant see any limit.
These days are not easy to decide. On the other hand, it may down as well under 10k. But there is a huge physicological demand on 10k.
As you see the last pricing movements, price jump when hits 10k.
It is very clear that it will be hard to go down 10k.
So as a summary if you don’t want to take more risk, just wait…

To put al amount to one coin or one ICO means a huge risk for me so If I were you I couldn't do that like put all in one.
with 12 bitcoin you can become very rich if you invest in pre ico, but not in scam.
I think you should divide the 12 bitcoins that were earned into 4 parts and complete all four options.
If you have really 12 BTC ,Dont take too much panic bcz you are in the safe place in the world

In your place, I would probably have left 11 bitcoins in some kind of cold wallet, and with 1 bitcoin I would probably try to invest it in promising projects and tried to make a bit out of 1, probably this is only necessary to understand what options are available and to make a competent decision .
I think for now with 12 BTC the best strategy is holding

My question is, what do I do now?
As far as I can see, I have 4 options;
1) Hold the Bitcoin
2) Invest in altcoins and leave a little in Bitcoin
3) Fund a project and start my own cryptocurrency that solves a problem that current currencies face (scalability, Tx fees etc.). With the funds, I would be able to assemble a team, start a marketing campaign, get listed on exchanges etc. I am also a programmer which helps.
4) Convert it to fiat (probably the dumbest idea)
Edit: I should also add, I dropped out of school and have all the time in the world so can fully commit to any idea. I will earn my living of cryptocurrencies.
A few people have asked how I made my money so, if you are interested, here is a short summary:
Initially, I put it all into Bitcoin during the massive FUD of the fork around June when Bitcoin dipped to $1,900. Then I put half my money into NEO before all of the hype at around $12 and cashed out at $40. Then I invested in a couple ICO's and turned a pretty good profit of off the hype. After that, I got back in on NEO as soon as China announced the regulations regarding ICO's and rode the wave back from around $20 to $40 (I can't quite remember). Then, I rode the hype of Ethereum Dark, eBitcoin and a few other airdrop scams. Finally, I got in on Wincoin before it got to coinmarketcap and turned a 20x profit.
Today is the good time to BUY altcoins. They are from DIPS and will create NEW ATH.
Look for a better coin, their projects and technology then if it suits your preferences. ATTACK! hahaha

At first you can just keep your Bitcoin. Or you can try leave 70% in the Bitcoin, 30% keep the aitcoins. Do not focus on one type of investment. Create at least four or more types of investments.
Bitcoin is preparing to the moon trip

The op already invested his 12 bitcoin to skycoin, for me it is good if they invest to the crypto coin because their money possible to earn a lot of profit once the skycoin increase, But it's better if his 12 bitcoin will invest to the different altcoin like 6-12 altcoin brcause what if the coin he bought decrease or die his money also gone, unless they bought a coin like different coin even of then decrease or die they hve other coin and the some capital their lose to other coin that they have and once the other coin increase they will back his capital.
Why asking what should you do? You managed to make 12 btc from nothing in 6 months. It looks like you're a great trader and you don't need any advice

Thats a lot of money you have there, if you will ask me i will convert the half of it to fiat and start a little business outside cryptoworld . 4 btc will be on investing in some coins and 2 btc will remain.
You have an excellent opportunity to fulfill 4 tasks If You do them in the right order! If You made 12 BTC from 0.1 You`d better stay in the trading as this is probably Your game.

Man you should keep them aside, until the day you need them, right now it is not the good moment to sell, wait the price to go 20000 cause it will, unless you need more, good on you anyway
