Edit: I have now invested 100% into Skycoin

I have 12 Bitcoins. I am not a whale. I started about 6 months ago with 0.01 Bitcoins and $1000. I turned it into 12 Bitcoins so far and am pretty proud to say the least.

My question is, what do I do now?

As far as I can see, I have 4 options;

1) Hold the Bitcoin

2) Invest in altcoins and leave a little in Bitcoin

3) Fund a project and start my own cryptocurrency that solves a problem that current currencies face (scalability, Tx fees etc.). With the funds, I would be able to assemble a team, start a marketing campaign, get listed on exchanges etc. I am also a programmer which helps.

4) Convert it to fiat (probably the dumbest idea)

Edit: I should also add, I dropped out of school and have all the time in the world so can fully commit to any idea. I will earn my living of cryptocurrencies.

A few people have asked how I made my money so, if you are interested, here is a short summary:

Initially, I put it all into Bitcoin during the massive FUD of the fork around June when Bitcoin dipped to $1,900. Then I put half my money into NEO before all of the hype at around $12 and cashed out at $40. Then I invested in a couple ICO's and turned a pretty good profit of off the hype. After that, I got back in on NEO as soon as China announced the regulations regarding ICO's and rode the wave back from around $20 to $40 (I can't quite remember). Then, I rode the hype of Ethereum Dark, eBitcoin and a few other airdrop scams. Finally, I got in on Wincoin before it got to coinmarketcap and turned a 20x profit.

HODL at least half in Bitcoin, and you can invest in Altcoins the rest, because you seem to be good at it.

Allocated some portion in trading, I think its rewarding but risky also if you are a newbie.  Do more research and learning on how to trade. Also watch out for some promising ICO, it  is rewarding too but watch out for scam also.

You should not invest all the bitcoins you have on Skycoin. If I were you I would only invest half of the amount of bitcoin I had, the rest I would keep for a few years, because I'm sure the bitcoin price will increase.

Your results are very impressive! To my mind it would be better to ask those people who also managed to have a good return in crypto.
What was your goal in the beginnig? For example I want new car. And I am goint to stop trading when I will have enough. t is a risky game. Today luck is on your side but who knows what wll be tomorrow?
So 40% of my money I hold in BTC and ETC because it is the safest investment for now. And other 60% I have to invest in different altcoins out of top-10. I believe this strategy will bring a good return for me in long term.

Do you still have 12 bitcoons or have you lost most of them? If you do not lose I would recommend investing in quality ICOs.

invest all of that into different altcoins because it is a huge amount of bitcoin and you can find a lot of great altcoins in the market that are undervalued and if you invested into some of those good altcoins in the market and just keep them for long term then you will have a higher chance that you might earn a lot of money in the future rather than holding your bitcoin.

Why are all four options so radical? You can diversify the portfolio and invest in different directions. Somewhere will be a good income. Average portfolio growth with good diversification is guaranteed.

In order to be a bitcoiner, you must fundamentally believe that a bunch of software engineers can create a better form of money than economists, governments and central banks.

You have 12 Bitcoin. You're a rich man. Actually, I have to ask you. I only have 0.5 Bitcoin. When does my money increase? Which I buy coin or token?  Wink It is difficult to decide

In my opinion use that money by 3 different investment, i mean 50% use for longterm investment in some coin that has good fundamental like BTC, ETH, DASH, AAVES, OMG, NEO. And other 25% use for short investment for some new coin that has massive potential like Bitdegree, Utrust, Indahash. And other 25% more use to make investment in good ICO. By this portfolio we will know each level risk and profit each.

If i were you i would invest the other half of that bitcoin in etherium and other altcoins and the other half of that bitcoin is i will hold it and maintain it until it goes up again in its value. If i had that 12 bitcoin in my wallet i can say that i am rich now , and i have bought a house and lot and a car for my family. But in your case you said that you invested it all in one altcoin and i think that you have so much faith in that coin you have invested.

I would keep major part of my portfolio in bitcoin and ethereum.
After that, I would choose some really promising altcoins to hold for a long time.
I will put 10-20% into ICOs.
