It's the same for me and probably for a lot of people in here so complaining and whining won't help much. My losses are even higher because i mainly own small and new projects which always dump the hardest during a bear market some of my coins are like 80% down. But it is what it is. You own a bigger projects and as you say yourself you are still at break-even so you did not make any loss. Now that ETH is back at 2.8k i am pretty sure that you are already in the profit zone again. So yes of course it is annoying to see that our 8k profit are going down to almost zero but that's crypto for you.
I think that the market cap of all cryptos at the end of this year will be higher than it is now.

No, you did not lose unless you sell it in the loss. You keep your coins with you and I hope they will recover in the coming months as the market is still bullish in my opinion. I would say keep patience and do not get panic market will bounce back in the coming months, on the other hand, it is not advisable to keep all the coins for the long-term sometimes you have to take the decision to sell when the chart says overbought and you can buyback when dips. Change your strategy according to the market conditions because holding is always not profitable.

Every situation where high return must be high risk, want to invest in stocks or crypto. People too follow their passions when there is a coin that is hype and then buy it when the price is high, expectation of ATH but what happens is the price goes down, for that you need to be patient and make the right decision to hold or cut loss.

"Be fearful when others are greedy" a wise man once said that, everyone was greedy nobody wanted to take their profit out, everyone thought it was going to be bullish forever, which is wrong cause the bearish season is coming, I also lost a few dollars during the dump same with most traders, the market giveth and taketh that's just the way it is, sorry man and I don't know if you can get back your loss, the market isnt healthy now.
