Welcome to crypto! As long as you didn’t sold anything during the dip you didn’t lose anything yet. That’s how dangerous crypto is, its unpredictable and anything could possibly happen in seconds, minutes or hours. Don’t worry you’ll get used to it in due time, its just normal cycle during bull season just stay positive.

OP, you have lost anything yet, until you have sold your alts. All you have to do now is to wait, and wait more than one year imho. The market was already in a stage of only gaining. Now we will face corrections, stagnation and someone else like Musk, who could wake up the market. At least you have got some experience. Next time you would be more wise and exchange some of your profit to fiat  Smiley

A common mistakes of a trader not just by newbies,
You didn't have any plan on your investment when to sell or cut loss,
This should be a good one for your next trades and regarding to your question about recovery of your loss only time could tell,
We don't know if it could go up again but the market has recovered a little from the recent dip that it experienced and we don't know if there would be more to come or if it would continue to recover now and go higher.

People who are new to cryptocurrency might be frustrated by a decreased portfolio. but I myself suggest being able to distinguish whether you are a trader or an investor and of course when the market goes down you already have a plan. because most people who are ambitious for quick profits are now getting a loss on their investment. this is very detrimental. and this disadvantage might be made into a lesson

Never see and never open your exchange account every day and better buy now and open again one or two years later, I see many holder with greatest holder always win and get much profit, but if you want get much profit every day take potential coins to buy and always see how profit and increase price day by day.

Welcome to the club. Do not be surprised if in the next few months you watch your portfolio bleed in value every day, until the moment when your nerves start to fail.
Hold on, if you entered the crypto market, then you have to come to terms with these things.
Please give me some advice. Why do you think the market will bleed in the next few months? Why don't you switch to USDT if you know the future of cryptocurrency? I will follow you, if you show me your switch transaction history. Take as advice, don't give anything to others if you're not going to do it. Your prediction was 95 percent wrong even though you know it.

maybe yes maybe no, because no one knows when the market will recover and increase again, therefore before you invest in cryptocurrency, you must be prepared for the risks, because not every time the market will continue to increase and give you a lot of profit, therefore you better hold and never panic sell or you will really lose your money, because as long as you don't sell cryptocurrency that you invest, so the money you have can still increase and it hasn't been lost.

You haven't lost anything until you sold your holdings. You've learned to take XXX profits, now learn to wait for price to go up again.

In recent days, many traders have decided to fix their losses and exit the market. I do not believe that this is the right decision, and in my opinion, the market has a chance to recover if the price of BTC is above 28 thousand dollars. I think the denouement is already close and we will know in the near future exactly where the market will go.
Majority are in the market for the short term gains and if they miss out on selling at the top and when they see that the market is bleeding they usually think about exiting the market and then cry about loosing the gains they made. Either they need to have the patience to hold for the long term and make a concrete decision about setting a target and you only need to sell once that target is achieved.

This is why many are complaining because a lot of them are new also to this market and they are hoping for short term profits. However, they are trapped to this correction. Right now, it is not the time to sell your coins in your portfolio, unless, you have urgent needs for cash. Otherwise, keep it and wait for the market to recover. This drop is not forever, as well as increase is not forever.

The answer could be yes or it could be no, the market is so volatile now that predictors are having a hard time to tell if we are still in a bull run or already shifting to a bear trend, I lose a lot of gains in some of my coins that I'm late to sell, sometimes you really have to let go of your greed and be contend with small profit, I waited to long to sell some coins in my portfolio.

What made you lose all this money was because you don't know when to get out and take your profit. You should always have a profit target in mind while investing and when price gets there removing bigger part of your money, by doing so you won't regret when the market goes down

Actually, none of us predict the cryptocurrency situation. But mostly this year cryptocurrency should recover, now you should fix your gains or profit. Because one thing I can predict is that the market will recover more than your targeted profit. You didn't lose anything, because you invested in crypto after knowing the past of crypto.

Well, now you know:
Unrealized gains are no gains
But also:
Unrealized losses are no losses

Of course, it can be helpful to consider next time because sometimes, market can be very harsh. Especially in crypto.

It is very clear that holding is your only choice left if you want to regain all of your lost money. The market is down really bad at the moment and many people are experiencing massive losses but most of them are still hopeful and willing to wait no matter how long it may take for the market to recover. If you are really eager to get back all of your money or recieve higher profits, then learn to wait and stop touching your wallet for a while. Many people learned through regrets from the past and it is not a good time to commit the same mistakes once again.

I understand the upset, I once had something insane during this period as well, way before all of this bear run started, it was another token. There is a token called bdollar, and I owned a bit of sbdo, I had 1400 dollars saved up total because I wanted to buy a computer, unfortunately in my nation a good computer is very very expensive, a computer sold in USA for 999 dollars could be 4k dollars here, that is a big problem and I am saving up it is fine.

I put that 1400 dollars into sbdo and I reached as much as 11k dollars at one point, that was one of the best moments of my life, I was feeling crazy, what happened? I sold it for 1.6k when it dropped down a ton. I later used that for my own project I am working on as well and lost that too but the reality is that something I bought at 1.4k went to 11k and dropped back to 1.6k for me, that happens in crypto.

P.S: This is not a financial advice but just sharing my experience. Do your own due diligence before risk at anywhere.

When you receive a lot of losses then you don't have to chase them for a short time because it's dangerous. In your case, at least you just need to be more patient and do as usual in buying and selling, slowly if you can manage it well then you can take what has been lost. This doesn't mean you have to do it all in one trade, because that will be a blunder. Be careful!

None know about what will be happening in the future and if you have trapped at the bottom price and it's better to leave your wallet for a few years again. I were doing this thing last year and i came back with lots of profit in my hand.
If the bad news will always be coming from the china and that would be a disaster for crypto.
Crypto needs to spread the miners especially for bitcoin to make it becomes truly decentralized.

You will lose all your money if you sell it now, try to hold and wait for the market to recover because that is the only way could help. You have said this year, maybe YES or maybe NOT, why not try if you still have the courage to do that.
Since you are investing in different coins, in fact, you have ETH. These coins are not scams, they have been in the market for a long time so there will be a big chance to recover them. However, if you sell them and then reinvest, it is still be fined as in some other way you can recover your losses.

if you still could live without having to touch these investments of yours then just leave them as they are just as what they are saying. you don't lose the investment if you still have the coins/tokens.  losing them while their value is less than the price when you bought them then that's what you consider a loss.

about being recoverable, it may or may not. but one thing is for sure is that crypto is here to stay and it will take time to make it again. if you could wait, you wait.
