This is a dumb thing to say. The crypto world doesn't revolve around one man's twitter account.
Bitcoin wasn't created by Musk, and it's likely to exist in the future, as it has existed before Musk. Whatever he says doesn't affect its underlying fundamentals.

Crypto is on a 3 to 5 year cycle , so you need to decide what timeframe is acceptable to you.

Nobody can predict the future, crypto is a highly risky asset and you should only have money in it that you can afford to lose. Until you sell your crypto and convert it into cash or a much lower risk asset, then you your gains are all imaginary, as you've seen they can disappear just as easily as they appeared. If you cannot handle the stress of wide fluctuations or determine an valuation independently then cryptocoins are the last place you should put any money. If you think the currencies your holding are worth the higher valuations then just simply wait for the price to recover. Much like stocks, it's best to avoid putting money in that you'll need quick access to in the next 5 years.

It is really regretting but to assess this situation, there is nothing to blame but just yourself. Why you never sell it when the price is still high?
It is common problem to us is that we usually think positively, we neglect to think about a possible dump.

There is nothing to talk about negatively and putting yourselves for this. There is a time like this in crypto and since we never knew what will happens next, we mostly think that there is more. However, it didn't look so good, and the market will not give us a favor all the time.

Take this as a sort of learning and in this way, it helps for you to understand what is crypto investment.

^ You have lost only the value of towards dollars in your portfolio but you are still holding the same amount, if you have 1 BTC, 100 ADA, and 5 ETH, they are still the same amount, if you can wait a long time, there is nothing you called loose. However, from the start you should know this already, investing in crypto is very risky because of its nature of high volatility. For now, the market was experienced a huge correction and it will probably take more time before it will recover. If you can wait for a perfect time, for sure your profit was there.

Since we don't know the "right moment" it is really the best to define how much profit you want to earn. Quick bucks give you a low roi, like 20-25%.If you can afford to wait, you can easily double your money mid term. I would aim for quick shots now. Price is relatively low comared to ath. If it goes down, buy more.

Mismanagement of funds! I had the same situation too. I was able to gain 5x within 2 months from my initial BTC sale. But after two wrong trade, I lost half of the amount almost. Sadly
I don’t think you can recover it anymore unless you are a good trader. Instead, try to stay away from trading. Otherwise, you will get panicked, have stress too.

Looking for gigs

I know that feeling. We are all with you who are losing much money in crypto as well due to the bloodbath caused by Elon boy and China. I hold ETH, TRX, ICX, NWC, SHR and other long term coins out there, but I choose not to sell them because I am still in my gains after buying them at cheaper prices last year. Believe me, the crypto market will come back to make another wave of bull run. But it won’t be soon, because it’s unpredictable. You gotta hang in there! Selling them at a loss is not a good idea.

That's what I would've done in that situation but good thing that I am in the market for a long-term and I have already set a price as to when will I sell my bitcoin and other altcoins, it may take years but I will pray to our God Sminem to bless me with a diamond hands. I have to say to you OP that your losses will be recoverable if you don't sell it and wait for all the prices to go back up again.

You are at a 50% loss, if it was me, I would continue hodling it but the decision is up to you as to how you are going to deal with this. Always remember that the charts of a lot of crypto in the market only goes up in the long-term, look at bitcoin during the 2018 winter and compare it to what is happening now, it is pretty much higher than the past.

You didn't lose anything but the possible profits you have made if you sold it out when the price was still okay, however, it is your fault because you were aiming on much higher that didn't reach by the market this month, so probably you should hodl your cryptocurrency and wait if it going to have a comeback this month or next month. Don't do panic selling, chill your ass in your room and always be updated on what's going on with the coins you have.
