Is Bitcoin a perfect birthday present for a 25 years old college student? I want to surprise a friend, he is facing a lot of challenges due to his studies and he likes Bitcoin but can't afford investing money because of his studies since he is sponsoring himself, we've been together since 2011 and his birthday is on 27th of this month, do you think 0.03BTC is a cool present 🎁 for a birthday.

Would you love to accept Bitcoin as a Birthday Gift?
How many BTC do you have that you wanted to give your friend 0.03 BTC? Op that is not even the main question that carry me to this thread. The birth was 27 of February 2023 and this August 2023 and that means the birthday is gone. Did you give him the 0.03 BTC as the birthday gift? Because you said it through the thread and if is yes then update the thread with the two BTC address which was was used for the sending and receiving the address on that particular day. And if not then you just created this thread to lie for MERITS.

I'm curious about the continuation of the OP's story in this thread. did he decide to give his prize in bitcoin then or not? And I was also curious about his friend's reaction. Because if someone did this to me. (giving me a bitcoin gift). Then it will certainly be a joyful moment in my life. I'm also sure everyone here will be very happy when someone gives a gift in the form of bitcoin. Whether it's a birthday, wedding or any celebration.

Sometimes I pretend I'm fine when no one ever cares about my birthday. but yeah I can honestly say that sometimes I wish someone would remember that. So I'm always happy when someone is going to give a birthday present to a friend or family. Because maybe I'm happy that at least other people can feel the pleasure in those best moments.

as a student and of course already have knowledge about bitcoin if from your story, then if I become your friend of course I will be very happy, considering it is an investment in the future and can be used as a business that has a bright future, especially when you don't have money to buy it and suddenly given a gift something we dream of then it will be the most beautiful gift. and of course later I will not forget the services of my friends who are driving the initial success later

Hope he know about bitcoin already before you will hand over the gift to him, so that he won’t lose the bitcoin to scammers. Also now that he is facing challenges in school, don’t you think it will be better if you just gift him money so that he will use it to take care of his academic, if you gift him the bitcoin, do you think he won’t sell it when he is in need of money in school?

I think in this case the op really has to do research whether his friend has knowledge of btc or not, but as op said, his friend likes btc, so indeed in this case the op has to find out where his friend's knowledge on btc is, so there's nothing wrong if the op gives btc gifts to his friends, provided that the op has to find out how far his friend's knowledge of btc is. but of course in this case the decision is up to the op. but I think giving btc gifts is a unique thing because very few people do it.

Bitcoin is a big teasure to us and the whole world that is why I am always grateful to Satoshi Nakamoto for his brave achieve bringing Bitcoin and cryptocurrency to existence. I am very sure that with time, people are going to see the hive difference between cryptocurrency and fiat. Cryptocurrency had really help so many of us to make the right investment that had yield a great profit and I know  with time things are going to be more bigger especially for Bitcoin that is going to become bullish soon. I hope to achieve more from Bitcoin especially buying when the market is down.
People constantly see how fiat is subject to inflation, but the truth is that most are afraid to change something, afraid to learn something new. I also see that not many people want to invest their savings in something, and not many people make any significant savings. But everyone who has been able to recognize the benefits of bitcoin has already made a very good return on investment, I'm talking about early investors. At each cycle, bitcoin becomes more expensive, for some it is a signal that time has been lost, but someone will be able to see this as an opportunity, since in the next cycle the price of bitcoin will be higher again, whoever understands this will make a profit. And of course, bitcoin is a great gift, I would be happy if they gave me bitcoins for my birthday.

I think there are a lot of cool gifts out there, however, the best one for me is the craft beer set! My boyfriend had a birthday party a couple of weeks ago and I purchased a craft lager hamper as a gift. After tasting it, he said it was the best he had ever tasted! He doesn't like alcohol, so I ordered the non-alcoholic version. And to be honest, it was well worth it!

That's an interesting suggestion on the Bitcoin forum, lol. Also, I don't really get the point of non-alcoholic beer. What's the point of it? Even if it tastes good - you can find a lot of non-alcoholic beverages that are cheaper and taste better.

I won't be glad if a friend surprised me with such a birthday present, but according to your friend's scale of preference is that the most pressing need at this point because we call something utility only if it serves the purpose for the time of want

It's a great present and I think your friend definitely loves the gift, also appreciate the gift even more because he likes it and seems interested to learn more about Bitcoin. It's even better if you do a physical Bitcoin or make a paper wallet decorated with some stuff so it looks surprising and more aesthetically pleasing as the birthday gift, but a gift is still a gift so you should do that. Would prefer to educate them more if they ask a question, for both sake.

For those who know bitcoin, they are very happy to receive bitcoin as a gift, but for those who don't know bitcoin, they don't want to accept bitcoin, for example, like we give money to babies, they will refuse it because they don't know what the money is for, what they want is milk and surely the baby will receive milk compared to money.
at least if you get it, you can find information first why people give bitcoin gifts, because you can be sure that whatever gift is given will certainly be valuable.
even though you don't know bitcoin, you can get a lot of information circulating about bitcoin and of course it's very strange if someone doesn't want to accept bitcoin gifts.
because those who give prizes will certainly know and will provide information why giving these bitcoin prizes.

Bitcoin is perhaps one of my favorite gifts. My uncle gave me a ledger and has been giving bitcoin ever since, he explained to me the importance of safe storage, I didn’t care before. So give bitcoin to family and friends and remind them to hold safely.

I think the surprise gift you want to give your friend might be one of the best surprise gifts for your friend. Since you have been together for a long time and your friend has a lot of interest in Bitcoin and is interested in investing, he will be really happy if you give him 0.03 Bitcoin = 651.496923 Tether (USDT) as his birthday gift. And this one gift of yours will do two things because firstly he will accept your gift as a gift and then he will invest in your surprise gift. So I think your decision is a good one.

Quite expensive, but that may be just me. Look, have you ever thought why giving money isn't the best present, even if you can buy anything with it? Because it's not creative, and shows that you don't know what he likes, which as friend isn't a good sign. If you think he'll appreciate 0.03 BTC, go for it. I personally wouldn't, unless I desperately needed money. I would hardly accept such expensive gift either way.

Yeah, It's not creative to gift someone money. It depends on where you live. In some places, People prefer cash compared to other gifts. Believe it or not, It's true. On the other hand, In some areas, people feel offended when someone gives them money as a gift, just like in some restaurants. In some restaurants, they accept Tips, and others don't accept Tips.

Let's try to be a little bit more creative. What if your friend gives you a cold wallet with 0.03 BTC loaded? Because he knows you like BTC and such hardware as well. So, he thought it would be a great idea to load some Bitcoin to make it more expensive. At least it's more creative than offering direct Bitcoin. Or maybe Satori Chips?

If I am your friend and you know how much I value bitcoin I can say that you value me as a friend so much you are willing to go to an extent where you will be spending money for me I will appreciate it so much and I think it will leave a mark on my life. Receiving an ordinary gift is already pleasurable how about receiving a gift or something you wanted, of course I will be happy/

Is Bitcoin a perfect birthday present for a 25 years old college student?
Birthday gifts are pretty much centered around the thought that goes into them and not what the actual present is but one thing is for sure, if your friend is tech savvy and knows bitcoin they will be sure happy.

Btw giving your buddy some btc as a present is as good as giving them fiat which is common for adults that don't have the time to go hunting for a present.

Any amount will certainly be appreciated, and the fact that you go way back his definitely going to appreciate you not forgetting it in the first place, good luck hope it goes well for you guys.

No idea whether Bitcoin can be deemed a "perfect" birthday present. You should decide what kind of guy your friend actually is. If he likes technology and is also interest in finance-related topics then yes, perhaps it's a great present. But if you expect him to not find it useful then there is probably no good point to buy Bitcoin for him.

Some people are just not willing to put in the effort to familiarize themselves with new technologies. It is not an iPhone after all.
Original Poster was stated that his friend likes Bitcoin but can't afford investing his money on bitcoin because he is sponsoring himself on studi. So, giving bitcoin as birthday gift is sounds good to person who already like and interesting to invest in bitcoin moreover he can not afford to do it by himself. If this birthday guy has knowledge of trading bitcoin, he will get more profit and get additional money to cover his tuition fees.

I find no justification here. Because the OP mentioned here he will give his friend 0.03BTC on his birthday. $615 according to the current price. Which I will never gift to my friend. It may sound bad but this is the reality. No one would do such a thing, not just me who earns bitcoins working on bitcoin forums. When the price of Bitcoin is $100,000, where will it stand? Then its amount will be $3000. Have you ever thought OP. I think you are not gifted. But stop thinking like that. Hold on to your invested bitcoins and wait.

Since I love Bitcoin and he had been graving to hold Bitcoin then that is cool for him if you want to give him such amount of Bitcoin. Bitcoin can be a prefect birthday present if the person that is doing the birthday would appreciate the present or like the present. At least that amount of Bitcoin cam be enough for the birthday guy. He can hold the Bitcoin for a while and use the money to get some things he would need to pay bills and clear some textbooks in the school.
