The Match between India and Netherlands has been abandoned due to heavy rain in the warm-up game in Thiruvananthapuram. India misses out both the warm-up matches due to rain before the World Cup. Indian captain Rohit Sharma already said that they don't need warm-ups beacuse players are in form after winning Asia cup and Australia Series but its very unfortunate for Team India because Both of the warm-ups India vs England abandoned due to rain in Guwahati and India vs Netherlands went abandoned without a ball bowled.
I am not sure whether the Indians will be too upset about it. They had just completed an ODI series against Australia in India. So that series should act as warmup ahead of the world cup. Teams such as England and Netherlands have reasons to be upset though. I am really concerned about the main tournament. As per weather predictions, the rains are expected to continue for at least a few more days, especially in Southern and Eastern India. And this may negatively impact some of the group matches in the world cup.
The fact that the two warm-up matches were abandoned did not matter to India as all the players in the Indian XI had enough experience of playing in every stadium in India, so the two warm-up matches were not very important for them in the run-up to the ODI World Cup.
Most of the members of the Asia Cup tournament have qualified for the World Cup tournament and a series win against Australia in the first two matches will undoubtedly strengthen India's players, so I think India is fully prepared to play in the main stage of the World Cup.
Most of the warm-up matches are abandoned due to rain and fans will not regret it much, but if the main stage match is abandoned due to rain, it will be a lot of regret for the fans and the players.
Depending on the venue, some matches may be affected by rain, but most matches should not be affected by rain.
