Tomorrow is the three warm-up match. One is Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh. We are going to talk about just 1 match in this post, which is Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh. The team of 2Bangladesh is very amazing because of Shakib Ul Hassan. He is an amazing player of Bangladesh and also he is a captain of Bangladesh. On the other hand, the Sri Lanka team is just ok.
Today World Cup 23 Warm-up matches started first match between Sirlanka vs Bangladesh at Guwahati. I think Sirlinka is avery strong team as compared to Bangladesh team, Sirlanka recently played Asia Cup Final against India. In ODI cricket not a single player win match for team even if Shakib ul hassan no doubt he is No 1 all rounder but team work is necessary to win matches. Today also 2 more Warm up Matches is Played first is between  Pakistan vs NewZealand and second is Afghanistan South Africa. Afghanistan has world best spinner attack and South Africa is best batting line.

Bangladesh will take the field in the first preparatory match against Sri Lanka today. In the last two appearances of the Asia Cup, Sri Lanka did not care for Bangladesh. Bangladesh lost both the matches Bangladesh played against Sri Lanka in Asia Cup group stage and Super 4. Although the warm-up match will not have any impact on the main stage game, there is no option to win this match to burn yourself up and prove yourself strong against the opposition.

The squad for the World Cup is not much changed from the one squad had in Bangladesh in the Asia Cup, so considering the performance in the Asia Cup, Sri Lanka should definitely be ahead in this warm-up match, but the point here is that two Sri Lankan bowlers have played for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League and are regulars in the XI. The members were as well as they performed very well,
considering all these things I would like to place Sri Lanka at 60% and Bangladesh at 40% for this match.

I agree about few things because IPL is completely BCCI event, and they are having lucrative profit from this but here in ICC related they are not going to have profit like this with uncertainty about Pakistan is also had cause and with this all time frame is also issued for them as well, but now all things are clear with raining season is surely going to have big impact on few matches which is going to hurt media rights holders.

So, with the arrival of Pakistan and having positive gesture from peoples it's a good thing but still many doubts are around for few things and one of the biggest is can Pakistan win with many were slogans about this as well I have different feeling with most chances they will be not in last four because their bowling is not good as they need to be for the Indian conditions and England, Australia and India are already in last four last could be not easy with few options are wide open, but I am not favoring them.

In a way, the ICC World Cup is also very lucrative for the BCCI, since they receive almost 40% of all the revenues from such events. The BCCI is assured of annual payments of $230 million from the ICC, which represents 38.5% of the total revenue of the global body from various events such as the World Cup and Champions Trophy (As per the ICC, India contributes to 85.3% of all the revenues). But the lack of interest shown by the BCCI is not very encouraging. They delayed the schedule of the tournament and in the end decided to hold it during the rainy season.

India VS Pakistan
You headlined the India vs Pakistan match but you discussed the India vs Australia match. Maybe you wrote India vs Pakistan match while writing India vs Australia match title.

After India's impressive series win over Australia in the first two matches, India came out looking to whitewash Australia in the third ODI. In the third match, Australia showed the same performance that India managed to show against Australia in the first two matches, due to which KL Rahul's team avoided the shame of the Whitewash by defeating India by a big margin in the third match. It is a big achievement for India to win the series brilliantly.
If Australia could not win the third match then Australia would have looked like an easy opponent so definitely Australia should have won this match.

Thanks for pointing out the mistake. I have edited my post, it's just that I can wait to see these two teams playing against each other once again. Both names are circling my mind constantly which made me write their names. They would be playing against each other on the 14th of October. A lot of days left to see that match, waiting eagerly.

State Boards were throwing tantrums from the start but BCCI really messed up this edition. These guys didn't really care and gave a thought about scheduling.

First, they fixed the schedule late, doing so completely forget about the festival season and when rescheduling happened, state boards started demanding new schedules. I just don't understand, these very same guys organize IPL every year and still manage to mess things up.
The root cause is lack of interest from the BCCI. For them the ICC World Cup is not as lucrative as the IPL. The schedule was delayed by quite a bit, and then there was uncertainty regarding whether Pakistan will participate in the tournament or not. Even the qualifier tournament got completed a few months before the main tournament. And right now it is raining across many regions in India. The last thing that the media rights holders would want is to get matches interrupt by rain, especially in Southern and Eastern venues within India.

Lmao!!

Out of nowhere, Chadwin again got into the WC squad (happened in the T-20 WC as well). He wasn't even in the 18-member squad or even 20 but look at his luck. Gotta feel for the injured Axar tho.

If I am being honest then Ashwin surely is an upgrade in the bowling department but Axar was the perfect number 8 and superior bat and with his current form I'd put him above Jaddu as well.

I agree on one part, allowing practice games to be plat in the Southern part of India was a bad decision. Hyderabad as per my research is getting rains till now. There may be multiple reasons one thing is clear Jay Shah is a brat who doesn't give a shit about anything related to Pakistan.

The hold of BCCI in ICC events cannot be ignored as they are doing what they think is best to humiliate Pakistan. The welcome of Pakistani cricketers was overjoyed by Pakistani fans in India. Some of them did shout Pakistan would be the winner, I have zero idea why they shout those slogans.

At this point, it is not supposed to rain that heavily, but South India (Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra-Telangana) are witnessing heavy seasonal showers. Even some of the Eastern states are witnessing light rains.

Ideally the tournament could have been scheduled for December-January, but then the BCCI is having other priorities during that time. Rain interruption was a major spoilsport during the Asia Cup, which was completed a few days back. I would be very disappointed if the same happens during the ODI World Cup as well.

The match is scheduled tomorrow, Ganesh festival ends today. I don't think festival is an issue, surely it would be something else. If they are not allow spectators inside the stadium then it can be some sort of security threat. The state police is given the task to handle the crowd, they might have some Intel about tomorrow. I do not think a practice match should be give so much importance. If such a situation arises during the World Cup then that is of concern.
Major rescheduling happened because of Durga Puja/Navratri and Dusshera. Bengal and Gujrat said no to BCCI and rightly so.

Regarding Warm up matches, well no one cared much, maybe some section of fans were interested but no big incentive overall.

~snip~

I won't give them the benefit of the doubt here. The "participation in the tournament" argument did play its part but BCCI showed a new level of incompetence.

Bangladesh already flew to India today with their School kids. We Bangladeshi people consider it as an educational tour as always they come back to the country and say they have learned many things from this series/tournament. They always do their experiment in such tournaments and they always learn from such tournaments.

They are missing their best opener Tamim Iqbal saying he is not fit for the World Cup even though the physio report says he can play all the matches. BCB offered Tamim Iqbal to play in the middle order or in the lower middle order instead of opening. LOL. Tamim denied. Well done Sakib Al Hasan and coach Hathuru. LOL.
I have mentioned many times before in my posts that Bangladesh cricket will not improve till the time it can get out of Papon politics. Bangladesh is the first country in the history of the world where the chairman of the cricket board has been in power for so long. Tamim Iqbal declared unfit only for political reasons. Papon and Hathuru declared Tamim Iqbal unfit while Tamim Iqbal's last match was an outstanding performance against New Zealand but Tamim was declared unfit due to political reasons. Bangladesh's 15-member squad is really like school students where they will tour India to learn and learn from multiple defeats and come back to Bangladesh saying we have learned a lot and hope we can do better next time.

I totally disagree with you. It is true that Papon has been the BCB president for a long time due to political reasons. But I wouldn't say he's doing a bad job. The BCB president continues his best efforts to strengthen the team. Bangladesh also has a lot of talented players in its squad. However, Bangladesh is not able to do well due to batting weakness. The performance of the batsmen is very erratic.

I don't think that Tamim Iqbal dropped out of the party for political reasons. Tamim Iqbal is not fully fit physically. However from what I heard Tamim Iqbal was offered to bat at number two or number three. But for whatever reason Tamim Iqbal refused to do so. I personally don't think Tamim did it right. We have also seen batsmen change their batting position in many big teams at the request of team management or captain. So changing the batting position was not disrespectful for Tamim.

Everyone was expecting to win the last match of the bilateral series. Regrettably it was snatched away by Glen Maxwell, he took the wickets of all the top 4 in the Indian batting order. If he had not bowled so well the Indian team could had a chance.

SKY again not being reliable, he didn't even scored double digit in the match. Indian bowling was not as good as it was before. It must be because the pitch was better for batting in the day. Bhumrah and Shiraz were not getting any swing from the pitch. David Warner gave his own wicket by playing a shot which was not required at that stage of the match.

There is even more drama related to participation of the Pakistani team in the ODI World Cup. The BCCI has stated that Pakistan's first warmup match will be held behind closed doors, due to security issues. Their first warmup is scheduled against New Zealand at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on 29th September. BCCI says that "local security agencies" have asked them to hold the match behind closed doors. Fans who booked tickets for this match will get a full refund for the same. The statement can be accessed here:

Political influence is on most of the cricket boards in the Indian subcontinent. Srilanka, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh all have presidents who are either linked or part of a particular party. They will never leave their post due to the amount of money generated by the cricketing board. I am not aware of the Tamim Iqbal controversy but if he has retired because of political reasons then this is not good for Bangladesh cricket.
