Lastly I hope that Wasim again doesn’t blame Pakistan poor performance due to the above mentioned reasons on some hidden arrangement between PCB and BCCI.

Strange I did not see Wasim Akram talking about a fix. If he did then he would be missed in the commentary box in the World Cup. What @pakhitheboss said is actually trues. If India had lost the finals then he would talked about the flaws in Indian team. I have seen in the past that it is not that easy for Pakistani ex-cricketer to believe India is dominating over their existing team. How can they as they were the ones in their time who dominated every India vs Pakistan match.

How bad things have become bad for Pakistan can be seen by the performance of the present team. Things are not looking good for Pakistan in the upcoming world cup.

Overall performance of Srilanka was good in this Asia cup. There were no experience players, They beat Top team Pakistan which should be appreciated. India performance was unbelievable except the match they lost to Bangladesh. Anyway this is cricket and anything possible. This is not first time that good team all bowled out by scoring low.

After having target like this, India won 16th Asia cup 8th record time and now having good chances into World Cup as well because their current squad is best with well organized bowlers and batmen which are at their best and in home conditions they could be much better against all opponents.

When an ordinary match is full of excitement, there is a lot of attraction and excitement around that match, but the match that took place in the final of the Asia Cup tournament will not be remembered for long. When the toss was done, the sun was shining bright which led to Srilanka believing that the pitch would help batters. After the toss rain started pouring heavily and covers were brought upon the pitch. There was a delay of one hour approximately due to the rain, the covers caused the pitch to get moist. This moist on the pitch helped bowlers like Shiraz who is known for outswing and inswing bowling. If you check the first wicket taken by Bhumrah it was an outswing that the batter thought would come into the wicket.

Srilankan batters wanted to up the run rate as they expected rain interruptions. If DLS came into effect when the Indian team is to bat then the NRR is taken into consideration to decide the target runs given by the Srilankan team. That was the reason they were going after every ball, whereas they could have left those balls that looked unplayable. Wickets kept on falling because of some stupid batting too. In short yesterday was a combination of bad luck and excellent bowling.

No one could've thought of such a defeat. The team being smashed on the home ground is another thing that makes it a very bad experience for them. Siraj ruled the game with his 6 wickets for 21 runs. The best part he had made the record of taking 5 wickets bowling just 16 balls. I watched the toss and saw Sri Lanka starting the innings and suddenly while checking the score India have begun batting. The only came to know that Sri Lanka have made just 50 runs losing every wicket. A final match of a tournament shouldn't be this bad.

Yes, it's hard to believe that we had a final with such a low-scoring one-sided match. I wonder if this match held the record for the lowest total ODI final with the lowest score?

If you are an Indian fan, you would not like to forget this match but will be proud of the Indian team performances. However if you are a Sri Lankan fan, then for sure, you will like to forget it as soon as possible.

It doesn't matter whether we support India or Sri Lanka, what matters is that the final match was played very badly. I hope even one Indian fan did not enjoy watching this match. I understand that the final match means different excitement and different attraction but believe that this match did not have any such attraction. India plays great cricket so it is natural that their cricket fans will be more, but a cricket lover would never expect such a match especially in a final match like Asia Cup tournament.

Sri Lanka was doing well regularly in Asia Cup so I was hoping that maybe Sri Lanka will do well in the World Cup but such a poor performance against India again raises questions about their World Cup performance, but a lot of good things are waiting for India in this World Cup.

The curtain came down on the 2023 Asia Cup today with the final match between India and Sri Lanka.Today Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first.Md Siraj proved early on how wrong their batting decisions were for them.
Today Mohammad Siraj stood as China's great wall to the Sri Lankan batting line-up Because no Sri Lankan batsman could play Md Siraj's balls well for which they lost wickets regularly and were all out for just 50 runs.

Later, India went into bat without losing any wicket and secured victory and defeated Sri Lanka by ten wickets. However, Kuldev Yadav became the best of the tournament in this event.
