The curtain came down on the 2023 Asia Cup today with the final match between India and Sri Lanka.Today Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first.Md Siraj proved early on how wrong their batting decisions were for them.
Today Mohammad Siraj stood as China's great wall to the Sri Lankan batting line-up Because no Sri Lankan batsman could play Md Siraj's balls well for which they lost wickets regularly and were all out for just 50 runs.

Later, India went into bat without losing any wicket and secured victory and defeated Sri Lanka by ten wickets. However, Kuldev Yadav became the best of the tournament in this event.

If you are an Indian fan, you would not like to forget this match but will be proud of the Indian team performances. However if you are a Sri Lankan fan, then for sure, you will like to forget it as soon as possible.

This is one of the most bizarre final of cricket history. SL have given a target of 51 runs to India. Siraj heroic spell was the reason India is very close of becoming new Asian Champions. Mendis was highest SL run scorer with 17 runs. 9 SL players were not able to make it to double figures today.

This final match certainly created so many new records. Most of them unfortunate to the Sirlankan team. The defeat of Pakistan on the hand of Sirlanka is an example of how luck could play you out of the tournaments and the overall performance of Indian team proves they are still the number one cricketing team whatever the ranking may indicate. There's not much of competition left for them. With what India has now, they can create four teams from their player and all 4 could reach in the semis of a world cup.

The unexpected finale can only be commented on by looking at the scorecard. It can't be an ODI final. One team was bowled out for just 50 runs while the other team batted at a target of 51 runs without losing a single wicket. Anyway, we as spectators never expected such a final, especially in the Sri Lanka India match, 100 runs were played in just two innings and only twenty one overs. No comments coming from my point of view but I can never believe this final.

Sri Lanka made 50 runs unexpectedly. I went out of house when match was started and after I came to house and Sri was in dugout and India was playing. No one didn't expect this.Today's match between India was a very unbelievable match. First inning started and ended, it did not take time. India performance was excellent. Siraj was top class bowler of the match. He took 6 wickets and Hardik also show contribution with siraj and took 3 wickets. India won the match without batting because India batting is top class of the world. India will win and India will be champion. Sri Lanka disappoint me because I want good match because it was a final but it was one sided match and India will win easily.

Okay this was the quickest ODI match I have ever witnessed. Really thought that there will be some great action packed performance, but really got disappointed by the Sri Lankan batsmen. Almost half of the team got out at 0 runs. This was not expected from the defending champions. Nevertheless we need to praise the Indian team, specially Siraj. The bowling he was doing today reminded me of Aussies bowling in their Australian pitches. What a swing and control at the ball. He proved why Rohit sharma picked him instead of Shami in the playing 11. Now the next target for team India is 2023 World Cup.

This is one of the craziest finals that I have seen of a big tournament. Spinners paradise because seamers paradise. What a day for the Indian bowlers and an exception day for MD Shiraz, 6 wickets, 21 runs in just 7 overs. He all by himself wiped out the entire Srilanka top and middle order. Unfortunately this is not the lowest target given by Srilanka to a team to chase. They had give a target of just 43 runs in the past and at one point they were looking to break the lowest target record today. A big humiliation for Srilankan team they defeated Pakistan to enter the finals for what scoring just 50 runs. Game over for Srilanka today!

MD Shiraz took 5 wickets and Bumraha took 1. Half of the Srilankan side has been out for a duck. Mendis and Welalage are on the pitch and trying to get the Srilanka side on track. They won the toss and elected to bat first thinking that the pitch would favour batters. Whereas it now looks as if the pitch favored the seam bowlers. The amount of swing these two Indian bowlers are getting is unimaginable. Not to forget one of the catch taken by Jadeja was unbelievable.
