India poor performance against Sri Lanka was surprising.seeing virat kohil enthusiasm yesterday, it looked like he could single - handedly defeat the Pakistan team.But today  he got out by making three runs .

Sri Lanka have made 170 runs in 40 overs for the loss of three wickets.Sri Lanka have made 170 runs in 40 overs for the loss of seven wickets.Sri Lanka need 43 runs from 56 balls which means they need four runs in each over.Currently D.wellalage and M . Theekshane are batting if they continue their innings like this they will win this match in few overs.

India need only four wickets to win against Sri Lanka while Sri Lanka need only 76 runs to win against India. As Sri Lanka have fallen by 6 wickets, if the Indian bowlers can pick up another important wicket then this match win for India will be pretty much assured. The Indian bowlers have been trying from the start and they have been bowling brilliantly which has made Sri Lanka very much on the back foot from India so far. In this match I think Sri Lanka have more chances to win. Since there are enough wickets in hand, if this wicket pair shows patience then they will confirm the final match besides winning this match. Sri Lanka is always a favorite team for the Asia Cup as Sri Lanka has won the highest number of Asia Cup trophies till date. Hope Sri Lanka continue their winning streak.

Sri Lanka is normally considered a weak team but they are showing very good performance in this Asia Cup and they are playing very well in every match. And today against a team like India they are bowling well for which India managed to keep the target to just 213 runs.  But meanwhile India is also bowling very well due to which Sri Lanka are losing wickets fast till now Sri Lanka have completed 15 overs and scored only 55 runs and have lost 3 wickets in that time.  So it is now doubtful whether Sri Lanka will be able to surpass this target by playing for a long time keeping the wickets intact.  Although the target is very small, it is becoming very difficult for Sri Lanka to overcome it

Sri Lanka, who are unbeaten in 15 matches, face a strong team like India today. Analyzing the bowling and batting line shows that India's batting and bowling line is stronger than Sri Lanka. However, Sri Lanka's bowling has performed brilliantly on this home ground. India's batting line has been very bad in today's match. Sri Lanka's bowling has been excellent today, Sri Lanka's spin bowling has done better than its pace bowling in today's match. Dunith Wellalage took 5 wickets alone, Charith Asalanka took 4 wickets. Since the spin ball has been good in today's match, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, if they perform well, India will have positive side. India were all out for just 213 runs. 213 all out India! Of course the performance of Indian batting was unexpected. After the rain delay, the pitch looks now good for batters. I am hoping that the pitch doesn't favour the batters, it should turn as the Sri Lankan spinners got. India has three spinners namely  Kuldeep, Azar and Sir jadeja. i am hoping that these tree spinners would be able to utilize that pitch. I may be wrong as the seamers have the ability to make it big.

The target by the Indian team can still be chased. It is too easy,  the Srilankan batters can put thier best against Indian bowkers. What makes my confusing is how this pitch changed after the rain. It is now helping the batters, considering how easily Shiraz.started batting after the rain interruption. Let's see, what happens next as ths match is far better than yesterday game.
 

 

Of course, the poor performance of the Indian batsmen today meant that they managed to score few runs. Now the match is stopped due to rain, it is a very bad outlook for Asia Cup that every match is stopped due to rain for a long time. However, in today's match, the Indian team has collected 197 runs in 47 overs, which is equal to the T20 runs. Every Indian batsman performed poorly in today's match which led to quick fall of wickets and India could not increase the runs of the team. But today Sri Lanka put in a great bowling performance which put India's batsmen under a lot of pressure and caused quick fall of wickets which cost India wickets. But today's match is really interesting that a strong team like India will put up such a poor batting performance against Sri Lanka. While India won yesterday's match against Pakistan by a huge margin, India's poor batting against Sri Lanka today may make it very difficult for them to win the match.

Team India came out to bat first and started to perform very badly in batting today. Team India scored 197 runs in 47 overs. The runs that Team India scored seem to have collected the runs of the T20 match. It will be very difficult for Team India to win today's match with so few runs.  .Sri Lanka team started with a great performance in bowling. Charith Asalanka took 4 wickets with 18 runs in 9 overs. Dunith Wellalage took 5 wickets with 40 runs in 10 overs.  The player has bowled a lot of beautiful balls for which the batsmen of the Indian team are under a lot of pressure.

The pitch is playing weird games with the Indian batters. Rohit Sharma got out because the ball stayed so low and some balls turned more than the bowler expected. What can you expect when a single field is being used for multiple matches? I just saw the video of how the curator was preparing the pitch for this match. Considering the ball bouncing technology it should be expected that such a pitch would come into existence.

I am not complaining here but I think both Axar and Kuldeep would be able to utilize this pitch to the fullest. At the moment Indian batter should think about getting a partnership rather than going after the Sri Lankan bowlers. At the moment it is Dunith Wellalage who has been dominating this match. He has finished his set of overs and now the Indian batter might look to open their hands. Jadeja and Axar are on the pitch, the current run rate is below 5.

If Sri Lanka takes a wicket in the next few overs then the Indian team will face many difficulties and become under a lot of pressure. If Sri Lankan fail to get wickets then India has a chance to set almost 300 runs target. In today's match, Sri Lanka bowlers showed amazing performance. Dunith Wellalage was fired on an Indian batsman. He took top batsman wicket of India like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. The performance of Rohit Sharma was almost outstanding he scored 53 runs in 48 balls and after that ,he got out. Next Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill's performances were not good. At this moment, the India team scored 150 runs in 30 overs one more wicket taken by Dunith Wellalage and now total he took 4 wickets. Now I think India gave a 250 to 270 runs target but Sri Lanka plays quite well.

The Indian opening pair started very well. They were once 80/0 until Wellalage came to bowl and took 3 wickets. Before that, Srilanka was sloppy on the field and was in a defensive mode. At the moment they are not only fielding well but are able to put pressure on the Indian batters. Rahul and Kishan are on the pitch and are trying their level best to counter the Srilankan spinners. The current run rate is still above 5 and knowing the Indian batters they would start going after the bowlers when these two spinners are replaced. The match is still well balanced as per my understanding, It would make things more interesting if Srilanka gets another wicket in the next few overs

Amazing bowling performance by Dunith Wellalage picks up 3 Crucial wickets of by just giving 4 runs in 3 overs. In the First over pick the wickets of Shubman Gill 19 runs in 25 balls and Second over wicket of Virat Kohl After four consecutive ODI centuries in Colombo Virat Kohli walks back for a 3 score and the Third over wickets of Rohit Sharma 53 runs in just 48 balls. What a bowler 20 year-old Dunith Wellalage is announcing himself to the big stage of the Asia Cup. Now it's very difficult for India to back in the match A partnership is Needed to Score a decent total for Srilanka.

Asia Cup Super Four match India vs Sri Lanka has started.India won the toss and decided batting. It is said tha whoever bat frist in Colombo ground has more chance of winning and you can see in the previous match between India and Pakistan , India batted first and defected Pakistan by paying well.Like the previous match between Pakistan and India ,this time also captain Rohit Sharma and s. Gill come to the pitch to bat first.So far he has scored 44 runs in seven overs while continuing his innings.

Haris Rauf & Naseem Shah are doubtful for the remainder of Asia Cup 2023, that means it won't be easy for Pakistan against Srilanka. Fitness is an issue in any sports not just cricket. Bowlers are prone to injury in cricket and that is what has happened. Shahnawaz Dahani and Zaman Khan have been called as back-ups for the injured duo. Keeping in mind the upcoming ICC World Cup this is the right decision taken by PCB.

I am shocked to see how Pakistani batting crumbled yesterday. My expectation was they will chase that huge target and get some where near it. They managed to score only 128 runs, the focus of Pakistani team should be now on their batting and not bowling. India has won by a huge margin yesterday of course two Pakistani players did not bat. Considering they both are tail ender they would have probably added another 20 or 30 runs to their score. Still, that would not be good enough as the runs won't pass 150.

Good come back by the Indian team considering the first match, when they only batted and managed to score 266 runs. They did their homework and were pretty clear with their strategy in yesterdays match. Today they will be again playing against Srilanka and as a fan I am hoping to see the same aggressive attitude of the Indian batters. 

Shahnawaz Dhani is a good bowler, BTW. I don't know much about Zaman Khan. But if Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah are absent, then it will out a lot of additional load on Shaheen Shah Afridi. They have one match remaining in Super-4, against Sri Lanka. If they lose that one, then they can't get to the final. Naseem and Haris got injured at the most crucial time and they are already struggling in the spin department. Even if the match gets washed out, Pakistan can't qualify for the final. So it is a must win match for them, on 14th September at the R. Premadasa Stadium.

big margin win for india against top ODI team and this game will give lot of confidence to the india team. They batted well but theirs bowling was extra ordinary. both right and left hand unable to judge ball properly. Pandya ball in which he picked up wickets of danger man Babar wss impressive one. Swing bowling was more improved especially from Kuldeep Yadav who succeeded in taking 5 wickets.

Pakistan was looking totally in defense mode and when both batsmen are in defending mind then bowlers free to use different variation. The better strategy is that one batsmen should free arms and put pressure on the bowlers Ike Rohit and Rahul did at the start.

It was an excellent performance by team India. They batted superbly, and their bowling was also exceptional. They haven't given Pakistan's batsman any chance to play their shorts freely. The swing that Bumrah is getting was the thing the Indian team will be happy about. Overall, poor performance by the Pakistan team. The Asia Cup Super 4 stage is wide open after this match. If SL wins against either India or Pakistan, they will qualify for the final. 


It is more of a precautionary measure from Pakistan's management. They do not want to take any extra risk with their bowlers right ahead of the World Cup.

Pakistani bowlers fitness is now becoming an issue. Due to injury of Rauf, the Pakistani were left with only four bowlers yesterday. Then Naseem Shah who was bowling really well got injured and couldn't complete his over. Pakistan has to have an option if their bowlers get injured, which for now they don't have any.

Babar Azam poor captaincy was another reason why India won. When he knew Naseem Shah was bowling out swingers well, why did he not put in a slip. He never thought of attacking the Indian batters, he was throughout yesterday playing a defensive game.

Personally I never throught that KL Rahul would have a brilliant comeback. He went through a thigh surgery a few months back but the way he was running between the wicket, felt like he never had that surgery. The heat and humidity did not even bother him as he went on to score his comeback century.

Kuldeep was on to something yesterday, he took five wickets in a pressure match. Seeing Bhumra bowling is always a pleasure, still maintaining the speed and spot-on line length.

India will be playing  again today on the same ground against Srilanka. I am not expecting the same performance again today but I am expecting them to win today's match. I would love to see Pakistan getting into the finals and playing against India once again.

Before yesterday's match I was almost sure that the final will be played between India and Pakistan. But now I am not that sure. There is a good chance that Sri Lanka will be able to qualify for the final, if they can defeat Pakistan on 14th September. Today's match between India and Sri Lanka is also important. If Sri Lanka wins somehow, then it will get very difficult for Pakistan to qualify. And there is always the chance of matches getting washed away. If all the remaining Super-4 matches get washed out, then India and Sri Lanka will qualify for the final. 

Asia Cup 2023 Super Fours 3rd Match India beat Pakistan by 228 runs. A very disappointing performance by the Pakistani team Shadab Khan and Shaheen Shah Afridi only 2 Pakistani bowlers picked up 1, 1 wicket rest of the other bowlers. While chasing down the target No batter scored fifty Babr Azam scored only 10 runs and Muhammad Rizwan scored 2 runs. brilliant bowling performance especially Kuldeep Yadav is the first Indian spinner after Sachin Tendulkar to take a five-wicket haul in men's ODIs against Pakistan

Pakistan team bowled out 128 runs in 32 overs and didn't play complete 50 overs. Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah are doubtful for the remainder of the Asia Cup. Pakistan has called up reserve bowlers Shahnawaz Dhani or Zaman Khan to replace them - via ESPNcricinfo. I think If India Loses Today's Match Against Sri Lanka Then Pakistan Will Be Almost Out Of This Asia Cup in 2023 because Pakistan has Negative Run rate and India and Sirlanka have plus positive run rate.

@JSRAW it seems that destiny was on team India’s side because first there was one additional day kept especially for this match and then the Indian player’s executed their plan’s perfectly but I hope that they don’t get carried away as they need to repeat this performance consistently. Lastly I believe that Pakistan will emerge stronger from this loss and further if these two meet in the finals once more then it’ll be an epic finale as Pakistan will be hunting for revenge.
