It was confirmed yesterday that India and Sri Lanka will play the final of this season's Asia Cup so India is now pressure free. Today is the last match of the Super Four of the Asia Cup, India is the opponent of Bangladesh in this regulation match. A win or loss in today's match will not matter for any team as India have already secured the final of the Asia Cup.  
We can notice some changes in the XI of Bangladesh against India. Mohammad Naim was a regular fail in this Asia Cup tournament, maybe we can see Anamul Haque in the XI instead. On the other hand, India will take the field against Bangladesh in a pressure-free manner, so they can test their bench players in this match.

Bangladesh never had a chance in the Asia Cup. The hot favourite before the tournament started were Srilanka as they  were continuously winning ODIs. The second team were Pakistan as they are the number one team in ICC ODI ranking. India never had a chance as there were too many injuries and big players were out of form.

Suddenly everything changed for India after the second match with Pakistan. Pakistan still had a chance of defeating Srilanka and enter the finals but they gave it away due to many reasons. Bangladesh VS India is a practice match for India. I am not sure how Bangladesh would treat this game.

When Asia Cup started, I was thinking that Pakistan is the most favored team to win the trophy. But they are now out of the tournament, and they can only blame themselves. Even during the match yesterday, I thought that Pakistan was a better team compared to Sri Lanka. But in the end, poor captaincy tactics, misfielding and lack of ability to perform under pressure situation cost them the match. But they should take this as an opportunity to prepare themselves in a better way ahead of the ODI World Cup, rather than losing sleep over it.

Bangladesh vs India
Today is the last match of Asia Cup Super Four Bangladesh vs India. India and Sri Lanka have already qualified for the finals. If Sri Lanka had won the India vs Pakistan match in the Super Four, Bangladesh would have had a chance today. Bangladesh and Pakistan have been eliminated from the Super Four of the Asia Cup. Today's match is not important for both teams but today's match will be of some help for India in the final match. Although India have played at the same venue several times, it will be helpful for Indian players to understand the pitch and ground today. The most important thing to make so steal so many runs in the powerplay and if you see Pakistani batsmens they were looking to defend the wicket. In first 4 overs Pakistan scores only 9 runs while Srilanka scores 20 runs in three over. This is the difference. If Pakistan scores good runs in the powerplay tham they could add 20-30 runs extra and yes you are also right, rotating strike and easy single double is also necessary in ODI cricket which could also add 30-40 runs. There was so many dot balls and very less boundaries in the first 20 over.

Shaheen shah afridi was trying so hard but there was no spin in the new ball and Pakistan two experienced fast bowlers was also unfit which cause this happened yesterday. Srilanka batsmens were so good and they was trying for a boundary in every over.

Zaman khan is good bowlers and he performed well in the Pakistan premier league especially in dead overs and there was no choice other than zaman. Zaman bowled well last over. The four in the fifth ball was totally luck because the ball goes between keeper and slip. Last ball was not good but over all an easy match for Srilanka turned out to be tough one in the last overs. Pakistan need quality spin bowler like saeed ajmal and need fitness for the world cup.

The hope of watching Pakistan play in the final of the Asia Cup 2023 was destroyed by Babar Azams's poor captaincy yesterday. Pakistan batters did really well on a pitch that supported spinners but what about running between the wickets? They could have added an additional 50 runs if they had taken those singles and doubles. The outcome of the match would have been different if those runs were on the scoreboard.

I was expecting Pakistan to defend the target of 252 runs, sloppy fielding and bad bowling is the reason for the loss. Shahdab Khan, Shahenshah Afridi, and Iftikhar Ahmad were leaking runs. They did take wickets but that did not help the Pakistan team as their economy was either near to 6 or above 6. Why wasn't Mohammad Nawaz given his full set of overs? He was doing good in restraining the Srilankan batters. Why was a debutant, Zaman Khan given the last over to bowl which was so crucial? These are some questions that the PCB needs to ask Babar Azam.

India takes on Bangladesh today, which for India would be a practice match. They are already in the finals and Bangladesh is already out of the tournament. It would be the right time for the Indian team management to try out those players who have sitting in the dugout. It will not only give rest to some players before the final, but it will also help the management decide on a replacement if any player gets injured in the World Cup.

This is a match Pakistan should have won. What cost them was poor captaincy tactics and misfields. There were quite a few overthrows towards the last 5-6 overs, which gifted runs to Sri Lanka. Misfields also gave an extra 10-15 runs. In the end, all the hard work that was put in by their bowlers (especially Shaheen Shah Afridi and Iftikhar Ahmed got wasted). Mohammad Nawaz bowled only 7 overs, with an economy rate of 3.71, while the out of form Shadab Khan was allowed to have 9 overs and ended up with an economy rate higher than 6.

Sri Lanka was very strong as the third wicket brought solid partnership. Once after that wickets started to fall at regular interval. In one way it can be said as unlucky, because the team that was on the losing side got an opportunity and then the same turned to be a loss. Good performance from Kusal Mendis, Sadeera and Asalanka.

Today game was unexpected one,we all thought the Pakistan will win today match.But it’s very close win for the Srilanka and my opinion is Since the Srilanka hosting the game.The result may favour them and it may be the might.But the fact is Pakistan had the bad luck today,because of the Kohli and Rohit big game.The Pakistan had loss that day match and rain had made them loss the game today.Because both team had equal opportunities in the match,Srilanka going to face the India in the Final of Asia Cup.

I won't say they were unlucky because the Lankans were bossing the match till 37 overs, even after Shanaka got out they were the favorite as they had a couple of batters left.

Pakistan only got a small window when Afridi took back to back wickets and that time they had a wonderful chance. Also, Babar is a dreadful captain. He looked clueless throughout the 2nd inning and at death overs his field placements were incredibly horrible.

Everyone predicted the match to be a win for Sri Lanka, but none expected this to be this unlucky match for Pakistan. Based on the DLS method Sri Lanka have to reach the score 252 and they made it without a ball left. In terms of score both the teams were equal, but it was win for Sri Lanka based on the DLS method. In some form it looks not the right choice, but in bad weather forecast the authorities also doesn't have any other choice than sticking to these kind of rules.

Again no need to be cocky or overestimate anything, this might jinx it lol.  

Just before the Asia Cup, top-middle order and bowling setup looked in Shambles. It's good that the team is in form now but they need to recheck all these combinations again in the next 5 matches so that we can think about good performance in the WC.

Yes the winner of this match will be facing India in the final. I believe that the history suggest that Sri Lanka has been to the Asia cup finals than any other team and with the way today's match is progressing, Sri Lanka has the chance to beat Pakistan and book a berth in the finals. Pakistan needs to pick wickets now to put pressure on them, if not they will chase the target without much issues.

Sri Lanka team is performing very well which is really appreciable. Although they have already lost 2 wickets. But their run condition is in a relatively good position. It could have been better for Sri Lanka if Kusal Perera  cound not run out. However, Pakistan's 5 bowlers have bowled but none of them could pick up any wicket except Shadab Khan. The semi-final match is now extremely tense. If Sri Lanka can form a good partnership then win in this match will ensure their inclusion in the final.

I think you have not checked the points table, both Pakistan and Srilanka has played two matches and both have 2 point. The winner of this match will be directly qualify for final regardless of any margin. currently Srilanka is at very good position. required run rate is under controlled and pitch is so good for batting. Pakistan got two wickets but runs are not stopping, boundaries are coming in almost every overs and this is the quality batting Pakistan should also need.

I hit Pakistan playing strategy in the first ten overs. We have seen lot of dot ball in the powerplay. in powerplay manimum score should be 60. England, Australia and many other teams powerplay batting is much better and lot of runs comes in powerplay. I don't know when will Pakistan batsmen change their mind.

Pakistan posted 252 runs total in lost of 7 wickets in 42 over. Mohammad Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed 108 runs partnership helped Pakistan to post a good total in a rainaffected game against Sri Lanka. I think The running has been good in this match. This is what pakistan lacked against India. Virat Scored 65 Singles and Doubles the other day in his century. Rotation of the strike is the difference between big totals and average totals these days. According to DLS Sri Lanka target will also be 252 in 42 overs. Sri Lanka Need 252 Runs In 252 Balls to win this match and qualifying for Final Because of 42 Overs match Pakistan finish at 252.

Yes, you are right. Sri Lankan run rate is better than Pakistan and Sri Lanka is in good position. And it can beat Pakistan . If Pakistan win only by few runs,then chances to qualify for Pakistan are least. But if Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by a huge runs, Pakistan will qualify for final. India is in final and India is a strongest side. So Let's see what happens. SriLankan players are in form, it is hard for Pakistan to beat Sri Lanka with high Marin. SriLanka wants any win but Pakistan wants to win with high margin.

It is plain and simple. The difference in run rate is so great, and in case Pakistan want to qualify, then they need to defeat Sri Lanka. There is no other way for them to qualify. If the match gets washed out, no matter how many runs they score, they would still fail to qualify for the final. But from what I can see, Pakistani batsmen have gone on the attack now. They are scoring at a rate of 8-10 runs per over. The partnership for 6th wicket between Mohammad Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed is guiding Pakistan towards a total that is more than decent.

With the loss of two wickets, the team is under pressure as Babar Azam is out at the moment and the Pakistan team looks a little weak. Points and points of Sri Lanka team are same than Pakistan but Sri Lanka team is ahead according to run rate. So definitely if Pakistan team can score more runs today and beat Sri Lanka team by a big margin then definitely Pakistan team can enter the final. However, Pakistan team is under a lot of pressure due to the strong bowling of the Sri Lankan team, but the competition is full of competition between the two teams. I think Pakistan team is more likely to win today.
