With the amount of scams happening with ICOs I would recommend to wait for them to get listed on exchanges. Also mostly the price drops to half after getting listed on exchanges which should give you a nice opportunity to collect some coins.
Exactly, even if the ICO has a good chance at success I will still probably avoid it because if you play the percentages it will show you that majority of ICOs go under ICO price. For that reason, you should literally avoid investing in an ICO although some are too alluring to resist.

If they have Bounty programs, then you better wait for the exchanges

I prefer to buy them at the time of ICO only because we are going to get a bonus from the company at the time of ICO. After listing in the ICO we have to buy them at a higher price.

I prefer ICO than buy later when they on exchange, why? usually, ICO price is lower than when they on exchange. If the project is success, of course, the price will moon and usually what makes the price going down is bounty hunter sell their tokens. But every investment has a risk, nobody knows precise what happened in cryptocurrency

I think it all depend on the project, there are some project that one just need to enter into to it beofre it hit the exchange because you can not get it less than that current value, but there are some projects that the price will dip and one can get it at a good discount price because the bonus offered is ridiculous

It’s hard to find a good ico earlier but if you can find and join you can get more profit by invest in icos. But if you buy later on exchange you can also earn in long term. It depends on coin and the project future.

there are some good coins when ico price and some are cheaper at the time of exchange so before joining on ico you should check the project and learn it. but I am more amenable if buying at ico is live.

Maybe buy first smaller amount in the token sale.

And then keep some funds liquid to buy more if it will struggle on exchange listing in bad market environment.

You can get the reward in the event that we purchase coins when ico is begun is productive yet there is no assurance for us to see the cost will increment after it's dispatch in the trades. You can do search on some good ICO's. Currently there are plently of awesome projects are going on like Daneel, Xmoneta and Odem etc.

ICO is good time to buy,but many coins were cheaper in exchanges after ico, but it is risky to be patient and not buying in ico,

In my experience, I bought later when the coin was already on the stock. Actually, if the coin belongs to a project that actually offers a lot and may be quickly sold out. But if ICO seems to be just another good coin, maybe I just wait for the coin to be listed on the exchange. After all, most coins will fall below the ICO price in the early days of trading.

Both of them are better. Buying coin during ico is great, but before buying we should check first if that ico is good.
We can do that by reading some information about that coin. In the otherhand buying coins after listing in exchangers is good, because you can be able to see the market. This two ways are risky but profitable, it will still depend upon to your strategies.

Now a hard time in ICO and the last good projects can be picked up on the exchange at a price equal to or greater than the price of ICO. However, if it is possible to go on a pre-sale with a good bonus to a good project, then without hesitation it is necessary to go
I agree with you that ico's market is not active now. After many projects raise a lot of money, they should not be in a hurry to exchange. They develop projects well in order to benefit the price rise.

How often does the price get lower than the ICO price when a new coin is listed on its first exchange house ?

How come there are coins that are worth like 0.0004 $, usually during an ICO one coin is sold in the range of 1$ or not ?

Do some "coins" skip the ICO stage ?

Price are lower in exchange than the expected ICO price because it was dumped by bounty hunters and some make money investors. But it was good to join an ICO as early as possible because of the discounts and extra coin from your purchases. A good project and whitepaper will lead the coin value to the moon

I think if the ICO is good better to buy them at the time of ICO only because after listing the price will be really high in the market. Previously I have experienced this problem bought at the ATH and waited for them for more than 6month to increase its price.
This is the tendency when you decide to wait up for a coin to be listed on exchange first which you would really see much more higher price compared into its ICO sale value but well having this behavior would still give you some edge or advantage yet most of the time when a new coin is being listed it would really be destined to dump its price. Why? Because investors and bounty hunters will normally profit taking out as long they can able to see some gains and thats the time you would set in on purchasing cheaper coins which even more lower into its pre-sale price.

It is hard to know about all the good ICOs beforehand with the amount of research required and whitelists closing early causing one to miss out. So good to buy any good misses upon listing on exchanges.
