Recently I saw lots of people announcing new altcoins. They're planning to launch ICO soon. But I was wondering if we should invest in ICO with proven business which will reduce the risk of our investment or go big with ICO project that we believe in but it starts from zero?

The trend of ICO is everywhere and lots of SCAMS is happening. Therefore, viewing ICO from risk management perspective is also important. What do you guys think?

I think that in the market of ISO should pay attention not to the team who has a bussines, but to the very idea and its implementation. A big plus will be if they already have an alpha or beta version.

Agreed! The proven business model shows this company is worthy to get additional investment.

Yes I would always suggests to go for an ICO with proven business records as ICO which starts with zero might or might not work due to lack of business knowledge hence it's better to go for well established organization instead of taking chances.

I will buy more Dogecoin to be able to buy more Marinecoin (MTC) at their F1CX Exchange. I recently found this community based project and participated in their Proof of Promotion airdrop, and since their approach for true decentralization, not relying on miners with extremely low energy consumption for maintaining the network, as a DEV-less self-sustaining AI powered crypto-currency looks really promising to me, I want to procure more coins. There is not much going on at their exchange right now, with the DGE/MTC pair having the most liquidity, but this is because the airdrop is currently paused. So first I am going to buy more Dogecoins to transfer them to my account at the F1CX exchange, then I will just wait for the right time to be able to snatch more Marinecoins. The airdrop is supposed to resume shortly with changed rules for better community interaction, and to hold off the scammers and prevent simply grab & dump. That already time tested project with a history leading back to 2013 has just recently been rebooted, and I really would like to encourage everybody who is interested in something that’s going to make a difference to take a look. With Dogecoin and MTC prices low, there surely is no better time to get started.

from my honest opinion, an ICO that's already have the business is just trying to gather money out of it so why bother funding them while they are already financially secure, unlike those ICO that start from zero but with credible information and reliable developers.
I could say, it's better to make a brilliant idea comes true than funding already proven business just to get its capitalisation bigger.

At the and it depends on the amount of risk that you want to take, a coin that has a products ready or that is close it is going to attract a lot more money but this means that the profits in the future will be lower, a project that still has nothing to show for is a lot riskier but if you are able to select the right coin then the possibility of earning a fortune becomes very real.

When you invest in a project closely related to a real operating business, then you can not expect huge profits, since this business already has some profitability and is unlikely to be much higher than the average market. But such investments are reliable. I think that huge profits can be obtained only from investments in projects "from zero."

Really nice input there. Any other tips to assess which ICO worth investment?

It really depends on what you are looking for. Investments are are gamble no matter how you look at. ICOs with a proven business is good because there's is a track record and there is verifiability - so it is safer. However investments starting with little or nothing are called wild cards, and form experience the people who get in early on the act reap the best rewards, take bitcoin for a classic example. But yes there is a huge risk of the project failing, also nowadays we have the issues of scams. But now, "what if" the wild card project was somehow in the same industry in the "proven business" and the new project had the potential to make the old project obsolete? Then it becomes interesting... Decisions decisions. For such decisions I'll advise spreading your investment 70% - 30% on which you feel more drawn to.
