Definitely I will become rich overnight Smiley
The first thing I would do is to quit current job, buy a better house and go around the world.
Unfortunately, as much as this dream was nice, somehow I just do not believe it will be so easy to achieve.
BTC has not yet become mainstream, there are still very few people know about Bitcoin and we have a long way until that changes, and the value of BTC starts to grow significantly.

hee-ho.
depends on how fast it increases from $230 to $1000.
if it happens in less than 7 days I'd sell all of my btc without a second thought.
if it raises steadily for 7 months I'd just be happy for the bitcoin community and buy some more.

I would sell mine straight away and wait for it to drop for profit.

If that happens, I will sell 80 % of Bitcoin I have so that I can cover my family's life, and then I will continue to try our best to make Bitcoin. My family still owe the bank a large amount but still no ability to pay due to business failure. I will be very happy if Bitcoin =$1000 again.

Life, Love and Laughter...
...

I started into the BTC world after BTC had backed off its all time highs (over $1000), I started slowly buying at around $700 and having been buying more on the way down.  For the moment I have no plans to spend them.

That would change if BTC goes back up to $1000 or even above its earlier all-time highs.  I will mention below what I will likely do further below, but here is a chance to tell people WHAT you would do with some or all of your BTC if we have a BIG price rise within, say, the next year or two:

If BTC goes to $1000 or more, what would you do?

1) Buy gold!

2) Look for a good investment in the BTC community

3) Very possibly hoard the rest

Spit randomly while running around yelling "I'm RICH!!!"

better everyday ♥
If BTC goes to $1000 or more, what would you do?

I might slam my fist on the table, hit myself in the back of the head, and scream FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK at the top of my lungs.

Feelings of pain and regret for not accumulating more...

With where the price is at now, going to $1000 should allow me to easily cashout what's been invested and continue growing the remainder.

I would probably feel really bad cause I failed to buy/mine/acquire more when BTC was 235.  Grin Grin

What I would do look at the value of Bitcoin, and look at the trend, and try to see if it will continue to rise, or stay there, or even go back down. If it goes higher, I'll hold onto my coins. If it is stays still, I'll hold as well. When it starts to drop, I'll sell about half my coins and keep the rest, and see what happens next! Exciting if it rises to $1000+, if you ask me! (fingers crossed)

Let´s hope some of us get to meet at The Happy Crypto Pub on Easy Street sometime.
Tragically, none of us are free from this miserable existence until all of us are.  A few slaves gaining their freedom through bitcoin doesn't solve the problem that is capitalism.

Someone in the thread made the point about every round number being a psychological one. When the price hits $300 again, it'll drop some, but then if it breaks $300, it'll rise to $400, and then drop some. Making some basic trades on this to grow a larger position. Start with bitcoin at $250, it rises to $300, sell it, it drops to $275, you buy, it rises to $300, sell it, it drops to $275, you buy, it rises to $400, you sell, it drops to $350, you buy. Each time, you're growing the total number of bitcoin you have on the same investment.

Naturally, it's hard to time these things. But you can analyze previous "round numbers" to get an idea. People like clean numbers. It's why people will leave $5.08 on a $20.92 credit card bill just so they can round up. It makes no difference, but hey ... It makes them feel better.

Not long ago I bought my "Last Bitcoins" (well, we´ll see).  From here on I will HODL them (except probably spend some on gold), in which case I would approximately replace the spent BTC by buying some more.  Gold and platinum are the ONLY things I buy with BTC.

I do like how many of you think BIG, even if it takes a while I too think that any of us would be happy to HODL most/all BTC at just $1000 with the hope of selling some at $5000, a few more at $10,000, some more at $50k...

Let´s hope some of us get to meet at The Happy Crypto Pub on Easy Street sometime.  First round´s on me!

I'll be there! Pint of lager for me please! Just give me the address.

Cheers
