The main thing about crypto itself is the blockchain, which can be accessed by the internet so I can't imagine how there could be a project that can transact without the internet. And when you do transactions offline like using a paper wallet then how to make an entry in the blockchain? because according to my understanding, it's not cryptocurrency if there's no blockchain (I'm probably wrong, so please correct me if I'm wrong). I can't answer your question about "what If the internet is down in the future" because it's gonna be sucks and I don't think I can live without the internet lol.

I'm not sure how a blockchain would work without it because it's designed to work on an on-chain transaction. In today's pay generation, almost all transactions and technologies are highly dependent on the use of the Internet. Therefore, the Internet may disappear, and with it cryptocurrency. In this regard, we should not abandon the common forms of money.

Its kinda hard to do, blockchain needs a connection to verify any transaction over the network. If no connection, then no one can verify it, means its cannot be processed.

Is there any crypto project that can transacts without the internet? I heard there was one two years ago I couldn't remember the name again but why isn't such project doing so well today? If the internet goes down in future this type of project will be useful don't you think?
Okay, let's assume that it be going to happen then we gonna be dead, we all have to fail including other businesses.

Anyways,
That is only "What IF? But does really happens? NO, because as we live in this internet era, people will find a way to keep the internet running otherwise major transactions will stop. That is why I don't get into my thinking it really happens but instead, I'm thinking about that internet will be available in all areas where people could enjoy it.

Well, you seem to have your answer here. As of right now if the internet as we know it, as it stands today, goes down, we will not be able to make transactions to any blockchain being as the medium between the different points of exchange rely on the internet as the connection between the two. However, in the future, when infrastructure is built out in better ways then it may be possible. For example Starlink(Elon Musks' low orbit satellite infrastructure) could be a backup plan being as they are floating in low earth orbit away from dangers that could threaten the infrastructure that is in place right now. Also, there could be other things built such as RF-powered mesh networks. Right now it is possible to send text messages, emails, pictures, things of that nature through existing devices such as ham radios. If things start to shake up a bit I'm sure some of these things will be built but the question is who will have access to it or know how to operate it. Also, I'm sure there are military applications that do this as well, along with traditional satellites. I'm not 5G expert, but I would almost bet that 5G could be fine-tuned to create a decent network although I doubt the signals would cross large bodies of water or over mountains without some type of repeater put into place. Just my two cents, take it with a grain of salt.

Right now i don’t know a cryptocurrency which is transferable without internet. And i don’t think it will happen in future. Internet isn’t only for cryptocurrency, It’s tons of use cases. Without internet connection no cryptocurrency transaction will be made apart from offline transaction.

So far I don't hear any projects who can create transactions without the internet, it's true that this market will be worthless without the internet everything is relying on the service and taking it away nothing is possible to be done.

Crypto project is related to technology and technology in this term is related something that needs something online and internet sources. although the team of the project claims not to use the internet or they can work offline, but I am not sure if it includes all activities. The need for the internet is very crucial, at least when we are entering the crypto market, we always need the internet.

The needs of internet are the most important one to facilitate the transactions, if there's any that I'm not aware or don't have any idea, the

full function may still need the service online.

As far as I know, every crypto project needs the internet (all transactions will always be online), because without internet all connections cannot be connected, especially this is a matter of projects that need life like the internet, so as far as I know I have never heard of or there are crypto projects that can transact without internet, maybe this is a joke that you deliberately made
It does. All transactions have to go through the internet for sending and mining as well. Maybe in the future, we'll see those much more high-tech transactions that won't require the internet. And I think that's very possible and it only needs to have the Qr to Qr transactions.
Someday we might send bitcoin to the others but I think it's going to be unconfirmed first and needs to be broadcasted until you connect to the internet.

That's what I am thinking, you may not use the internet to send but it will only be confirmed once you connect to the internet. I haven't encountered any coin yet that you can receive without your net connection. If there will be, that's a big plus for that coin and they should be popular by now. I believe, we are already in this digital age where internet connection is like a necessity for these kind of transactions.

Personally, I can say that the Internet will always be. And he will not be able to disconnect, since this is a whole system that works all over the world. And projects that will work without the Internet, I think they are. These are projects that are made on internal networks for which the Internet is not needed. The entire banking system is now connected to the Internet, and much more. So the Internet has already entered life forever and will only get better in use.
Unfortunately there are too many people who watch movies where there is no internet, no real life, just ghost town type of stuff, like "book of eli" type of world in the future where nothing is proper anymore. I believe that will not be the case, all those apocalypse type of movies are just made up, even in the worst type of deal, we will manage to keep the internet and electricity going, those are one of best chances to handle and I do believe that we will be able to continue without problem.

Let's assume that electricity down, what do we need to do? Even in the worst cases we have so many solar panels, just gather them around and produce electricity. What is internet? It is a bunch of server all connection to each other and allowing us to connect to them, after you got the energy, you will get the servers and they are all simple stuff really.

If the internet dies, crypto will also die, because we can't access it anymore, but I never thought that the internet would disappear from the face of this earth, because now is the era of the digital, all countries need an internet network to run their government.  one example without internet bank will be totally lame because banks need an internet network to access every transaction made,
No one have any doubt about this as Internet dies all crypto and digital currencies automatically dies because we have nothing without internet even world face some big dilemma because without internet we will lose too much crypto is just very small thing if we lost internet then life could be some better in rural areas of world because many countries have good things without internet here, but big chaos will happen and too much destruction happen. Internet is surely the pillar of this crypto.

All digital transactions will be down and with places migrating to cashless they will be beat until things come back online.  I don't ever think the world can completely get rid of physical currency (at least in my lifetime) because of this.

Everything now operates over the internet and no crypto currency would transact without an internet because funds been transferred requires verification before it's been sent to the recipient and since each block is chained to the previous block of code a node would be required which can't be performed without internet.

What could possibly make the internet go down and even if it does how will transactions get confirmed without an internet service

I don't think that there is any cryptocurrency that can work without internet. Maybe it can be possible theoretically, but I don't think that it would be very useful. And I really wonder how people will manage to make such cryptocurrency. As far as I know, every coin the market is on a Blockchain. It means that every coin will necessitate an internet connection also when we want to make a transaction with it for example.

Not that I can remember lately.
It still needs to be recorded to the blockchain, so I am not sure how such transaction can be possible to go through without an internet. That is one of the weaknesses of cryptocurrencies to be honest, but hey internet becomes like a basic necessity now these days as mostly everything are being done digital especially during pandemic.
It is a bit absurd to still think about the possible projects that still functions without internet, but it is going to be a good side feature though.

Yeah. I know the coin you're alluding to. It's called MCoin. Was supposed to work by SMS or USSD which are inherent phone protocols that don't require the internet. But sadly the project died a quiet peaceful death. How do I know? The telegram group went quiet. So for now, all crypto runs via the Internet

If the internet goes down, there are many things much more worrisome that will affect the whole world and crypto is just a small part of it. Tho there was some alternative way to still connect at each other without the internet. Since the internet is based on fiber signals so there could be other forms to tranmition the data and each user in this network will act as a carrier of this data and passing along to the other. Sort of similar to peer to peer system.

I do not think the internet will shut down in the future instead will grow bigger because the digital era already happens and many people get the benefits of the internet. So if the internet shuts down, that will have a big effect in many countries, and I think many things will not run as before because many of those fields depend on the internet connection. The project in crypto will fail because crypto uses the internet to spreads in many places and maybe we will back to the era before the internet was invented.
