I think with well decentralized cryptocurrency you could simply make it possible for people to detach part of their network/system from the cryptocurrency Global Networks and start using it locally without any Internet... That will probably be easier with modular Networks or multi-chain Blockchains that can exist and function independently without compromising on the security of the detached systems.
People can also safely print lots of coins on physical objects and use that peer-to-peer like you would use physical cash. It should be possible to verify the authenticity of the printed coins offline.

Since the time I joined this forum and gained knowledge about cryptocurrency I doubt if I have ever come across any transaction made without the internet. Transaction and all is even too complex to access this forum or any other social media platform you need internet. Will like it if any non - internet means could be created.

there's no such thing mate, maybe a hardware wallet but not the crypro project itself since it all working only in the internet.. So without Internet of course there's no way we can access in any crypto project.. But it's impossible to happen because we are very upgraded wherein not the same before.. If it gonna happen maybe it takes days only and all is well again.
as far as I know. if internet is off then you cannot connect anything related to internet.
simple example: when the electricity in your house goes out, then you can't connect any activities in the internet world.

Well if we have projects like star link under built and almost many of the countries has already approved for the star link project by Elon musk I see low chances of internet going down. In fact the productivity over internet has grown way more than 2019 because of one thing and that’s COVID. During COVID when the whole world was shut down and everyone was forced to stay at home, Internet was the big escape for everyone. Like crazy big. Many big information tech companies actually started to opt out for work from home strategies and this need of internet increased and it kept everyone connected.
In this scenario I highly doubt, Internet will go down in the future.

Offline transactions were made possible, but it also requires internet connectivity to synchronise the data. The internet connectivity around the globe is improving with time than declining. How many of you think that internet will go down in future. I believe it won't go down, because regularly we're getting more and more advancement in the connectivity. Apart from this even the rural part of the world is getting connected through internet.
Maybe there'll be interruptions same as that happened few days back with the Facebook and it's sister concerns for limited time period.

Never heard this and i didn't believe if such project was exist and how it will be interacting with the blockchain. If this was using side chain or private blockchain and it's still possible. If the internet goes down in future this type of project will be useful don't you think?

It could happen, but we will lose the most of the cryptocurrency itself. It's community. As we know the community is at the heart of cryptocurrency itself. And without the internet we can't connect to each other. It will destroy cryptocurrencies slowly if the internet no longer exists.

IMO, even if there is a crypto that can be used without doing internet, but I think people will use cash, or banks to make transactions again.The best thing about crypto is, it connects everyone in the business world and businesses. when it falls, then it is very difficult to find a redemption place or the person who also uses it. however, I feel that the pillar of crypto is the internet. without the internet, many things will fall.

As far as i know there is no existing blockchain at the moment, that can validate it's blocks without being connected to the internet, i also don't know how this should work as you always need a network where every participant can communicate with each other or otherwise it just can not work and everyone has it's own state of the blockchain if they are not connected to each other. I was trying to mine a very early project two years ago and at the beginning there were also problems with the connectivity of the miner and therefore it happened a lot of times that i was mining my own fork and was not part of the consensus chain.
I think there's no news about crypto project that is independent and can even transact without internet. Almost all of the transactions and technoligies in todays generation are highly dependent on the use of internet. So if the internet will be down in the near future, the whole world will go down too to even cryptocurrencies aren't exempted.

Yes I've read an article about 2 years ago that without an Internet connection we can do bitcoin transactions, but obviously it's not as simple as we think, because we have to buy a very expensive software. As far as I remember the device works using UHF frequencies.

Surely if such a project comes out it will have an edge over others, but I would say that when it really comes to the market. Otherwise it is just speculation. Creating such a technology is logically flawed, so I am not buying it so easily till I see the proof.I find it amusing that some users only think about crypto and how it can shut down and speculate on that. Heck, shutting down electricity supply and internet is enough to shut down access to crypto, but in reality do you really think such can happen on any day and be such for a prolonged period? And crypto is the least of the worries of any government. Basic necessities of human life come way before crypto.
The point that you put those after crypto is a bad sign, I suggest you take a short break from crypto and relive the life in the real world.
