Found out the project is dying and the team is super inactive, so I dumped the coins I got from the bounty. Around 3 months later, their official website was not working. lol
I don't need to wait too much from bounty, I'll sell immediately after I receive them. In 2017-2018 I held most of the tokens I got from bounty, but in the end the price crashed hundreds of times and those tokens became worthless. That is my biggest mistake in this market

So what is or are your reason why you are dumping your coin?

Bounty project is worthless to hold. But if you are able to hold legit projects tokens for very long time then may be it will worth one day. I'm not dumping my token at this moment cause crypto market rising again and i am hoping for some good profit. But i also agree with your idea. Selling shit token for buying good and promising token is not a bad idea. I would say if you are want to hold bounty token then check first how much project is promising or bot, follow their weekly updates and roadmap etc.
I don't think all the coins resulting from the bounty campaign are worthless, only some projects that really don't have good development will lose money, although like that no one knows whether the tokens that are held can bring a lot of profit or vice versa.

It is a good decision to dump any token that does not have a progressive development in a substitute for the reliable one. I have done this severally.

I dump my coin after got it from a bounty because to me, it is better to take the initiative and planing to buyback. Since most of the time, a coin will have a dump because of bounty hunters so I just want to anticipant this behavior.

This perception is totally wrong. Not all altcoins or tokens that are paid to bouty hunters get dumped. There are situations where bounty hunters that sold their coins so early later regretted doing that.
This is an indication that the project is very strong and that the team has done real good job in upholding the standard or their project.

both of them but there are instances in the past that I dump my coins/tokens  because
The coin is not progressing and I want to buy coins that has more potential.

yeah, the coins/tokens has no hope in the future. so why we must hold it ? most of holders will do the same thing. there is no reason for us to keep the coins/tokens if the project was abandoned by the team. also some bounty hunters sell their coins/tokens immediately because they won't follow the project continously. they just spend their energy to get the coins/tokens, so they won't get too much loss if they dump the coins/tokens.

I think I will dump the coin I got from bounty right away since I learned a hard reason that never spends too much affection for a single bounty no matter how good the profit it brings back. Few times I let my emotion overflow and keep holding the bounty bag only to see it going to lower till nearly worthless. Yes, sound stupid but that is my reason for doing it.

If I don't see any potential value in holding that coin anymore, I would just dump and turn those funds toward something else. Usually new bounty projects doesn't much potential anyway so nearly auto dump for me.
I want to dump the price if new projects don't enough potential for me. Sometimes I want to sell half of my coins when the price is higher. I have some tokens older than 2 years. I bought them at a low price. Now I don't want to dump those prices. Even potential coins I would like to dump before another correction.

Well, not all the time some tokens or coins go bearishly, experience has taught me that, good projects won't dump very fast as shit projects in this ecosystem. There are some tokens from good projects that when dump by bounty hunters can't be bought back when the entire proj start a race into pumps. I love holding my stash because "Blessed are those with stronghands for they will surely get rewards". Those tokens you called shittokens today can be savior tomorrow, also, #defi can emerge from them even after death.

any coins that seems dead with no feedbacks from teams about the project, definitely the price will go down and holders will keep dropping. no one will see all this and still keep holding. what makes people hopeful of holding is project development and timely updates.

Same here, if I think that there are more other potential coins in the market and the bounty rewards have less potential, then I will also dump it. I will not keep a coin that will be valueless after a couple of months. It is a common situation in the new bounty campaigns, they don't have the capability to keep the project long enough.

Holding most times doesn't pay, especially holding token gotten from bounty rewards. Reasons is most of this project are just in for the money, all they want is just to make reasonable profit and run, so is risky holding such token. Better selling them and investing on popular altcoins.

My reason is the same as you, OP.
Though, I don't hold coins coming from bounty but the reason is that, I want to buy a coin which has a lot more potential. Like the top crypto in the market. I divided it to my top choice and that is what I hold, I hold it until the price reach my expectation and sell it one at a time.

I usually don't hold altcions. They are for mee a means to an end which is getting more BItcoin.

When I get altcoins from an airdrop, a campaign, a raffle, whatever else, I usually assess their potential and either sell now or wait a few weeks and then exchange them into Bitcoin. This is the only coin that I'm willing to hold for a long time.

So what is or are your reason why you are dumping your coin?
The only reason is because it is my bounty. I wanted to use that bounty coin to my benefit. If I don't dump my coin then what is the point of joining bounty campaign. Every bounty hunters are dumping their coins and I don't see any point of having a reason why we all do that. That's how bounty works, after you receive your bounty, you will sell it.

most people dump their coins when they're broke... some bounty hunters will always sell their coins because they think if they dont.. other bounty hunters will dump it on them..  so that's it
Not only that, most of the bounty hunters sell their coins because they don't have much time to monitor the progress of the coins they hold, especially if they often follow new campaign projects in this forum, so indirectly the time they have will be used up. for the bounty campaign they are participating in.

I've lost every thing I made from bounties this year to a shit coin that looks like a very promising project, I invest over 2500$ in this shitcoin and the price keeps dumping over and over, even while Bitcoin surge to 11k + and Ethereum over 300$ this shitcoin shows no sign of appreciation, I have no choice but to dump and walk away with my loss

The coin is not progressing and I want to buy coins that has more potential.
