OP - You started this thread in January 2015. How many coins do you hold from that time . You would have make a great money if you really hold  any of the btc till date.

I think that also the price in last january 2016 is raging to 350-400 dollars but now it reaches $700 that was a huge profit as of now, i think this time is the best time to sell if you are looking big profit.

If you are long term holder, it is  not the best time to sell. Actually, for the next 20 years, the price will rise a few hundred times.

Can you tell us how many btc you have currently and for how many years you planning to hold it and also which country you belong to?

i feel like the price is going to be much higher after the halfing has passed. maybe wait around 3 months after the halfing to get the best price and sell then.

As you see, the Bitcoin is crashing and trying to break a new low until it stop.
But I won't sell any Bitcoin at this time, I believe it will rise again as it always do. Smiley
I am also not going to sell any coin because first I am waiting for what is going to happen after the halving if that is clear then I might be able to make a decision if I am going to sell some coins or not.

Why are you not selling your bitcoins do you think you are cool right now i dont think you know what th e bitcoin will do when we are all holding
them. So if we are all holding bitcoins will not be so many worth as they are right now so make sure you spent some of them.

The best time to sell bitcoin is at the time of halving, as we are expecting higher price at that time so selling now is not the best thing that you can do.

Holding for next 20 years is not advisable as it can be risky to hold that long if price falls or bitcoin disappears you will never enjoy the success of making profits from it.

although i agree with this but i will also keep some bitcoin in my cold storage for as long as i am alive! even if it goes down. i made my investments and i am making profit and also earning bitcoin so i don't need to sell everything even if the price goes so high then i would just sell a part of it and enjoy the money i get and keep the rest.

Yeah I would prefer to save it for long term, but if price goes beyond the expectation then would surely prefer to sell some of them and enjoy the profits.

Me too I do prefer to save it for a long time just like what happened to those bitcoin millionaire.
When the price of bitcoin is still on the low price they are the one who stored a lot and didn't sell it.
So when the price increased they got the harvest already.

Save it for long time also have a risk though. I mean, someday the bitcoin's price can drop easily. So i think it's better to sell it when the price of bitcoin on high price.

That's true holding for long term can be risky as there is no guarantee that price will be higher in future, so smart thing is to sell when we see higher price.

I'm also not gonna sell any bitcoins because I think the bitcoin is gonna rise to a higher amount soon or later, it has a great future a head.
The halving is coming and I think that is already saying enough why you should not sell them right now.

Yup if you sell before halving then your profits it at risk and you are definitely playing with your profits, so have little patience and hold it for the halving.

If you look at it from that perspective, then yes, you may be right. But what if the price doesn't go up right now and starts sinking directly after the block halving? Then people would have regret not having sold at current prices. At this point literally anything is possible.
That's correct i think also we need to sell our bitcoin during or after halving because we already have a profit then just wait for another dump of the price then we buy more bitcoin again and wait for the long term when the price go high again.
We don't know what will happen on the halving because things are getting into stable state where we can't even feel the hype on the halving anymore. But it's great to sell because you're securing the profit, so I suggest it too.

Halving is already in the price. That is the reason for the last drop of the price from $780 to $530.

I don't think that is already the result of halving. It is going to happen after July 10 this year I guess.
And I hope that the price will go fluctute from $670 - $800.

I think price will touch to $700 in next 1 or 2 days and that will be the right time to sell some coins and secure the profits as price is comparatively lower now.

yeah more much bitcoin you save more profits you're going to earn because the price would go up sharply in halving a few more days. I also think about it so I held my bitcoin now
