Just received my Zeusminer Blizzard yesterday. Once again, Zoomhash got it here faster than the postal service's website could acknowledge :D The machine is ok. Gridseed was easier to get working, but it does perform as advertised without tweaking. I will be tweaking :D

I continue to be a very satisfied customer.

me too -- different model, same company, great service.

Compare this to almost all of the others out there who don't seem to know the first thing of running similar businesses. Zoomhash swooshed our box right to the backwaters of socialist f*cking Sweden where we currently fester (mentally, that is, because of all those ladies-bike riding losers in this country, but still enjoying the outdoors and some surprisingly good freedom aspects that place has to offer)...

Not one tiny problem with the order anyway as they skipped fraudulent UPS and used DHL instead (the only carrier actually working here). Well done Zoomhash, impressed really!

Has anybody heard from anybody at ZoomHash this or last week?

Saucy

I also noticed that the below has said it has "only 20 left" for at least 5 days, which I find unlikely (maybe just not updated):

hey guys, I spoke to zoomhash via chat today and they are taking care of the RMA.

I think the prices for these should be below $50 by now, plus they are no longer in production, I think. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Has anybody heard from anybody at ZoomHash this or last week?

I bought two X3 Thunders (arrived very quickly).  One runs for intervals of 1-12 hours before being pronounced DEAD/Sick; thus I believe is DOA.

When I ordered in July ~21st they were always online on the site during business hours if you do "Chat now", but they weren't there today, or any day last week.  Also they didn't pick up the toll-free #, also I e-mailed both Bob & Rich (late last week) for help with the broken machine, and haven't heard anything.

I am looking to sell my GPU miners, and maybe get a couple more units, but I am definitely afraid to order more w/out getting my one fixed & when it seems like they aren't working now.  Are they on vacation or something?

If they monitor here,

Bob, I e-mailed you on the 8th,
Rich, I e-mailed you on the 7th.

The chat-now feature had nobody there on the 6th,7th,8th, or today; the 11th; though the week I ordered & week after (when I needed help) they were ALWAYS there.

Thanks for any help that anybody can offer.

to update my replacement gridseed came I set it up.  works okay so far.

between shipping and lost hash maybe a 35-40 dollar setback.

I grabbed a backup power brick from them today.

I am thinking my pc tops out at 14 or 15  gridseed blades.

I should be able to run a few more, but it seems to do a lot of timeouts at 15 blades.

Funny thing is I can only get these to run on the one pc my asrock z77 itx-e ..   I need to get a second way to run these blades.

anyone using this below? if so how many blades?

But,I can't get it to run on Win7 64,CGminer 4.3.5 with the bat file  Sad

I got my pool info correct, but I'm unsure of the USB driver & the info in my bat file.I tried CP210x VCP drivers & it showed in other devices, not in the COM section.

Then I tried Zadig, now it shows up in USB devices as FT232R USB Uart, still no joy  Sad

Anyone get theirs to work Huh

'The right to privacy matters'
to update I was given an rma number and I shipped it today my cost to sent via priority mail was about 23 usd.

I will update on the replacement when it comes.  to be fair it hashed but one blade board  works well the other turns off and disconnects every 1 to 3 hours.

So I had to do my second rma but in each case 1 blade board was good.

So in a way it is 1 rma not 2.

Zoomhash did not spend the 23 for the  return shipping label they also did not offer a cross shipment.  Last time they did both.

So I will lose 23 for shipping and maybe 17 in hash total of 40 bucks lost.  Maybe they will give me a coupon for 40 bucks If they do I will let you know.

'The right to privacy matters'
I am posting here to say one of the gridseed blades is acting up.  I sent in an rma request to today.

So my stats are 10 blades running for about 3 to 5 weeks.

1 blade had a bad board that hashed at 1.8 not 2.6  I got an rma.

this blade hashes 1 or 2 hours and then turns off.  So I sent in an rma  for it today.   I will get back to the thread,

with results of this rma.

this would mean 11 blades with total of 22 boards .   with 3 of the 22 boards having issues.  not great but not terrible.

I will get back with results for this rma request.

Has anyone else started using the newest miner software from Zoomhash?
If so, I have a few questions:
1) Is there a trick to getting the pool info updated?  It took me like 5 times to get it to change. Do I need to stop/start/restart the miner in any order to get it to change?
2) Is there any way to tell what miner is what number from the list?  Why are they out of order?
3) Is there any way to stop it from auto refreshing?  I can get the pool info entered in the 35 sec, but the first time I almost had it in and it refreshed.
4)For the Zoomhash crew: Will it ever be possible to change freq on individual miners?  That would be awesome!! Also it would be nice to put more directions on your website for the meatheads (me)

This newest software is a nice step in the right direction.  Simple (somewhat).  A few more advanced features and it will be great.

FWIW: I'm a founding member and have placed 5 ordered.  All were very good transactions.  I had 1 RMA and it was super smooth and 1 small gripe that the great people at ZH bent over backwards to take care of me.  How many posts do you guys see about other companies blindly ripping people off?  It's hard to find people to trust.

Well an opinion on the 3 doa blades gets a free blade request.

I would be very cautious going that route.

I have sold electronic gear on ebay for a decade.  here is my ebay record.

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=philipma1957

It is really good record.  I estimate 10 percent of my buyers have tried to pull a fast one.  I was able to satisfy every one of them. One way or another.

Frankly I would not have done 3 rma's unless you know the gear fails a lot. Based on reports of the gridseed blades working or failing, that fail rate of 3 doa blades in a row is too high.

But in all the years I have sold gear I had 1 terrible item  the worlds first 7200rpm 500gh laptop hdd.

First made by seagate in 2008  my failed hdd rate was 8 of 14 hdds.

The seagate forum had a 16 page thread of fu ,fu, fu, fu this drive sucks.  My losses on this item were higher then any item I ever sold.

Based on blade price now I would send him a blade for  350- 400 dollars.  Which is a good discount.

If he said no to that I would send him three 5 chip  gridseeds for free  if he said no to that I would not have much else to offer to you to fix the issue.

Remember  even though he sent 3 blades back to you unless you carefully checked all your serial numbers he may have had 3 good blades from you and

sent you 3 blades  that were bad.   To illustrate what I mean at least 3 other companies deal gridseed blades and there are 2  group buys for them

on this site.  So that is 5 sources of people/companies that handle a lot of blades anyone of them could be connected to this customer of yours and had

him rma with you 3 times.  You look bad and they replaced 3 duds on your bill.

Since I do not know if you checked each and every rma and photoed the serial number on the pcb boards what I say above is a guess. In no way do I

believe that has happened and I do not know if that is possible since I do not have enough info.

I only point out many people swap out electronics this way. To   frigidformself  mike has really been a good guy with his company

It appears he refund your purchased and sent you 3 replacements.

This gear has been pretty good gear for most people is not there some middle ground for you and mike?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Back to me and what I want here.

You have been good to me you sent me my rma no questions asked.  The replacement gear works great.  I was good back to as  I ordered more blades and I really do want to order the sixth blade.

So once again I ask for you to please set up my discount for this purchase.  I sent a pm to chris.

I listed all my purchases made from march until early June. I do not want to be a pest but please fix this for me.

Agreed, 3 exchanges = 4 blades. So far we shipped over 1700 blades and had only around ~53 of them DOA so the DOA rate is around ~3%. Him having 4 blades that consecutively fail from different lots would mean he hit chances of 0.000003% (Is my math correct here)? It is possible but very unlikely. I think the odds of winning the lottery would be higher.

We get fast ones pulled on us all the time and we sometimes let it slide. But to threaten us with "bad publicity" unless we give him a free blade is just wrong.

As for the logs of the RMAs, I would have to check with our tech but we even  cross shipped the devices.

Also, the user claimed he used CGminer and BFGminer on this forum, both of which are unstable with gridseed products.

also check your PM for your code. Thanks.

Hi Mike!

I did say that I was going to let it drop, but you kept talking.
We did 3 exchanges for a total of 3 blades.  After the third DOA Blade, I requested a refund.

At no point during any of these exchanges did you or your company state that the Blades were not DOA or claim that I was at fault.  Your company accepted each blade as having one DOA board, until I brought it to public attention that I had received 3 DOA boards from your company.  I'm sorry that you feel "threatened" by my remarks that I would make your transgressions public; that's a lot less threatening then the way your company has been handling this.  I wish someone from your tech support team had actually said something at some point if you honestly believed I was at fault.  I would have gladly talked with your tech to get it working if you had even once said that it was a possibility.  I, honestly, wanted that blade to work.  I was so fucking excited when I got that first one.

You can even look up my reddit history, I fucking loved you guys until this shit happened.  Then you guys threw me under the bus so fucking hard.....

Let's do math, because you seem to really like math.
What are the odds of 1 item that is composed of 2 independent objects breaking?  The odds of it happening are 50/50.  You are confusing odds and chances. I agree that the chances of it happening that many times in a row are ridiculous.

When you buy a lottery ticket, your odds stay the same; but your chances increase.  I'm upset that you're running a business.

Again, I did ask to keep my broken scryptblade and receive a full refund for it at one point out of the sheer frustration of dealing with your company.

I do actually have all six serial numbers for all six boards.  I am willing to provide them to a trusted member of this board, if you are also willing to provide that same member the same serial numbers with screenshots showing them hashing.  As I can provide that information if requested.

I mean, or you could say you're sorry; stop trying to throw me under the bus, and we can be on our way.

If you do keep talking shit about me, then I will keep defending myself.  Let me just very clearly state though, that I do not want any money or compensation from your company at this point.  I just want you to apologize and stop being an asshole, thanks!

Hey guys...,

Could you both take this dispute PRIVATE, please...!

I don't think that anybody here is interested anymore of your "saga" ...and it's continuation... Grin

Thanks,
