Man, those bring back memories.  I had some of the very first ones in the US when they came out, had a rack of over 100 of them making $300/day.  $225/ea they cost then lol  Volt modded them to be able to run at 400khash with some info that a member on here posted.  Took me forever to disassemble them one by one and bridge a couple contact points, then reassemble.  I think LTC diff was 9k or so and price was in the $30s, IIRC.

I'll see if I can find a pic of my rack...

Please do post the pics, that would be awesome to see. They were so badass when they first came out. Did you sell them all in the end?

YBcoin seems to be another good one for scrypt mining right now. Chinese based coin, volume is decent.

That whole rack only consumed like 1200W haha

Later I switched to using Rpis with Minera to control them.

Good times.... miss them.

Can you still remember this guy?

Just got my 49 port hub in and hooked up. Klintay had great communication and sent me the tracking number promptly. He even followed up to make sure I received it. I'm happy with both klintay's service and the hub itself, which feels very solid and works as expected. So if anyone is looking for a USB hub with a large number of ports to connect many Gridseed ASICs with, this is an excellent choice.

The hub:

Fits neatly on the bottom row next to the power supply:

It completely replaced this mess of wires!

I am reposting the pics for gsupp as the original links are broken and they are friggin awesome pictures. Enjoy  Grin

Hey guys,

Will this work on a Corsair 850w PSU?
http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/hx-series-hx850-power-supply-850-watt-80-plus-gold-certified-modular-psu

I have a few in the office, and wondering if this would work fine on the 49 port without making any modifications?

Yes it will work. What do you want to use the hub for? How many amps per port do you want to supply?

Hi guys!

let’s first introduce myself, I'm Thomas from the Netherlands. I’m new to this forum and I registered specifically for this question.
so I’m really interested in this hub, but not for my mining, but for work.
for my working environment I’m using alot of iPad’s, the iPad’s need to be configured and if possible charge simultaneously.
and I hope you guys can help me Smiley
what I need to know: what is the maximum output of the usb connector, on the site of eyeboot.com they saying a output value from 0.5A till 2A.
Sadly I need 2.1A to charge an iPad Sad
So I hope that maybe one of you guys who has a iPad can please check if your iPad is charging by using this usb hub?
if so I can save myself about 900 euros

Thank you very much in advance for your answer,

Thomas

Yes it can charge most ipads but not the new ipad air because that requires 2.4 amps. All other smart tablets are fine.

I tried ordering from the eyeboot site. The States/Providence won't populate for United States. I was using Chrome.

problem fixed. Please try again.

Can I use a Maxbron 1000W to power this? I tried doing so and it didn't work. I read above that someone is using the 12V barrel. What is that?
http://www.amazon.com/MaxBron-80PLUS-Bronze-Modular-B1000-MB/dp/B00F3ZNDME

Can someone link me the correct power supplies for this on Amazon? I have some gift cards that I want to use up.

Thanks!

EDIT: Would this work?
http://www.amazon.com/Meanwell-NES-350-5-Power-Supply-Signs/dp/B00IX5UFLI/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1416349753&sr=8-5&keywords=5v+meanwell

Yes the mean well is the best one to use. Also you need this cable:

http://r.ebay.com/r711JK

or

http://www.eyeboot.com/Bitcoin-miner-Accessories?product_id=74

I am putting them on amazon soon.
