I went to the factory yesterday, here are some pictures of the cables being prepared by old Mei Mei (see has nimble fingers):

While production has started, unfortunately it is behind schedule a little bit but I can guarantee the cables will be finished and ready to ship by the end of this month. Turn around from the factory to my warehouse is 1 day.

YAHOO! Got my hub, let us know when we can order the cables.

I'll gladly prepay if this speeds up the turn around time, lmk

Thanks again

Glad the hub arrived safely. We can start taking pre-orders for the cables now.

I can stick 49 U1's in this hub and not have it burn right?

Yes! the greatest thing about this hub is that it runs cool. The ports themselves are designed to take in 1 - 2 amps per port without damaging the integrity of the hub with heat issues and such.

The cables will be ready in about 7 days  Wink We are using 18 gauge wire. Also making some modifications to the hub so that power on LED will still work even with the switcher cable.

Will the hubs still work with ATX PS after the mods for the Meanwell cables?

This was a concern of mine too,  but the factory has assured me that the new modified hub will be compatible with ATX PS or LED switcer + meanwell cables
Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Awesome! When can we order the cables?

As soon as there is confirmation that production is on schedule then will open orders for the cables. I will get more information on Monday so can update the topic then. The price of the cables will be $6 usd each.

Just a heads up on this power supply. I ordered one but received a different unit that has 5V rated at 30A. The unit in the auction listing is model ATX-1000-N12S and is rated 5V 45A in the auction specs. The unit I received is model ATX-1000N.  I'm in the process of returning this unit as the vendor has offered to replace it with the correct one listed in the auction. If you order one of these, just make certain the seller understands you want the correct unit.

huh, sorry to hear that...when the ATX PSU Switcher cables are finished, people can buy any standard LED PSU instead which is considerably cheaper. Least the vendor is going to replace now the mistake has come to light.

Have to wait to see how the return goes. Any idea on ETA for the Switcher cables? Will they use 16 or 18 guage wire? I'd like to order a hub, but want to wait till the cables are ready and get both together.

sent payment  Cheesy

Payment received. Package sent today by one of my workers. I will get the tracking info for you shortly.

It says shipping by EMS, that is usually really fast (like 5-7 days max). I think the 40 days might just be to cover the seller.

Thanks Eyeboot for all the help you give me whit my mining problems I had.

Hello everybody,

I am Zeta from Holland, and I run some small mining rigs as early February 2010.
The problem started whit the fist batch of Block Erupter usb Miners I got in 2013 (100 of them), The 10 dollar USB Hubs from eBay give all kind of problems, power loops that damaged the computer electronic circuits. Not stable whit more that 10 miners.
After that i Got some Drillbit and Fury miners, whit the anker hubs. The hubs managed to stay alive but were not stable at all.
In January i Got some new miners, good for lot of amps at 5 volt (over-clocked), this time i ordered a $pecial Block-Erupter USB Hub whit 49 ports.
The Next view days the whole hub is getting hot, and i needed extra cooling fans to keep the setup stable (Noooizzzz), after a week the usb died and I was broken beyond repair Angry

I got in touch with Eyeboot true this Great Forum, He told me I Needed a Industrial graded Hub from that many Amps and he sold me couple of His Orange USB hubs.

This Hubs are GREAT!  I loaded the new hub whit Overcooled Miners.
Its Running 100% Stable, No burny smells, No magical smoke leaking out of the Electronics, Its running Stable as it can be.

So If you looking for a Stable Hub, Go for The Eyeboot - Dipo-Elecronics 49 Port USB HUB.  Let the Block-Erupter hubs, and the 10 dollar usb hubs from eBay for what it is, Save your selfs lot of frustration and go for the Industrial Grade ones.

Thanks Eyeboot for all the help you give me whit my mining problems I had.

How many rails does this have?

Also any recommendations as to which one would work best with this hub? Looking to run NF2's

http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?SearchText=5v+60a+350w+power+supply&catId=&initiative_id=SB_20140509060544

It uses the 5v rail, there are five x 5v pins on a standard ATX. The hub uses all of them. I would suggest any of these:

They all give 60A on the 5v which will be more than enough to support a hub full of 49 x NF2s

The ATX to LED power supply cables are starting to be manufactured on Monday, and will be ready in about 10 days time (at the latest, hopefully a little faster). The final price is $6 usd each and the length will be 100cm.

I can confirm that the $45 5V 60A power supply works with this hub.

It's late here, so pics tomorrow!

2. I got this Meanwell 5V 350W supply:
http://www.bravoelectro.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/265x/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/SE-350.jpg
The price varies all over the place, and there are many similar supplies on ebay available out of China. They all look about the same, but getting one from a reputable company for only $45 was pretty nice.

I am getting a ATX LED ringed power cable mass produced, like the one Goodney shows how to make, so that everyone can use the LED power switchers. They are really cheap. I got 60A 5V one for $40 usd.
...

I'm interested to purchase both the new cable and hub when they are in stock.

BTW this is the correct power supply, yes?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/5V-50A-360W-DC-Regulated-Switching-LED-Power-Supply-CNC-WITH-CE-/160802119217?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Test_Measurement_Equipment_ET&hash=item25708d9e31

That is the correct power supply. I will have new stock on Monday. Will post more details about the cables as well as i get it.

Count me in on some
