Escrow I always use JohnK... our whole COOP was "escrow" for the customer BTC but that was part of the delay dealing with 3 different nationals to get all the refunds out to our customers.

Also let me clarify how our group buy and K1 sales are different than others:

The cooperative to which we belong purchased 10K chip lot from Avalon. I handled the coins and paid Avalon. We then were going to take our chips and fabricate all into K1s and have our special 50 Port Hub work as a board so we could do density mining and sell off whatever else the market wanted. We pre-sold the K1s knowing our coop members had already promised to cover the costs of production of each and everyone of the K1s. So those who bought from us through our store were protected against such an event no matter how many units they bought 1 or 10 or 10,000. By the last week of July we were still waiting on the earlier chip buys and we were still trying to source a few parts but had the fabrication ready to roll in a 1 week window as soon as we had all our components enough for 11K of Klondike Nanos. But given that no chips had arrived and the developer chips were 3 weeks late we just made the sane choice and on August 5th we asked for a refund via support ticket. We informed BKKCoins soon after as we were still hoping to pass along 11K to him for making all our K1s... that is the sad part of the whole story.

We refunded everyone who prepaid for the K1s from our store but we are still waiting to refund our own members for the Avalon chips. 25 days still no reply from Avalon and that is where I want a reply soon or we release the Legal Kracken.

Given that most us will never buy the Avalon Chips if there were no group buy, the moderators must keep their side of the bargain and refund in full amount to those who join their group buy. The only 1 so far who is ethical and will honour the refund  is Zefir, he wrote to Yifu and got a reply. Sebastian and Steamboat has already make good profit's from their numerous group buys would you all please be considerate and be a great gentleman and refund back their money.

I'm not part of his group, but have crossed a few paths with him thoughout this chip ordeal, but ya got to hand it to the guy, Bicknellski is so professional and genuine. We need more like him in this community, as he certainly raises the bar for the rest of us.  Wink

You know what I think MOST of us posting are trying to do the right thing and that to me is professional and genuine... gullible is also another adjective for us as well unfortunately we believed and really should have listened to the Batch 1 to 3 people and their issues rather than simply assuming those damn chips being delivered would be a cakewalk.

He hasn't refunded Batch 3 customers yet, what makes anyone think he'll honour chips refunds?

Will the group for razingbull, zefir, sebastian, steamboat and a few of the others please acknowledge when they received the Full refund from Yifu please posts your comments here? When could we get these Full Refund?

They all seems to stay very quiet in here. When they need the group buy Wow they are highly Active promoting their group buy. But when time to get a refund most of them are very low key.

Have they received the refund from Yifu?
What is your problem eve ?

Zefir probably got the ball rolling with the refunds, read his thread.
Other GB starters have also said enough in their thread about it.

Yifu,

You are refunding unfulfilled Batch 3 system orders. That is good.

Pease do not make decisions based on emotion, especially one based on the emotion of anger. I can see you are very upset about what you read here. I would look at every post that is driven by emotion as just noise, because it is. Every human being tends to make a lot of noise when angry.

There are some messages that are good for your chi, this is one of them. I am rooting for you because you have started so well in this business, and I hate to see you fail just because you would have made a couple more emotional decisions.

Most people who post messages here will accuse me of being a shill. I am definitely not. This message is intended to cheer somebody who is emotionally down. He has accomplished a great thing (being the first to market with a mining ASIC chip), and his own customers are accusing him of dishonesty. Nothing can crush an achiever's ego more than that.

Yifu, somewhere along the way you or your team have made a bad decision or two that caused the delays. Some people here advise you to be honest and tell us exactly what happened. That is good advice. The complainers will complain no matter what you do, so you might as well please those who are on your side, by following their advice.

I believe you are still ahead of the game. You can correct your course and start pleasing your customers again. I have no doubt you will be successful.

To those who think "he's got our money and that's all he cares about", I say you do not fully understand our need for group acceptance. You think that way because of your own failings, and you are simply projecting your attitude onto others.

I am a batch #3 customer who has not received their refund yet. Order #5105.

I have received a refund on 8/29/2013 for the full amount in BTC.

Man, you've got quite some nerve for posting this. A full refund will not solve the issue. Please explain the 1+ million chips delivery that showed up in pictures from June? So, where did they end up?

batch 3? the amount was never 1+ million chips. if one 1+ million chips did show up in june, none of this would be happening and difficulty would NOT be this low, do some math.

also people seem to not make the connect to sudden raise of difficulty to us shipping batch 3 and bitfury's http://ghash.io pool coming online...

Absolutely no math involved with this simple question: where did the 1-2 million chips from these pictures end up? Who ordered them? This is your chance to defend yourself against the suspicion that you got (and took) a better offer for the chips intended for us. And have us waiting for production of the next batch, while the rise in difficulty eats up all the expected profits, to the point where even reaching ROI seems implausible.

he'll refund it or full refund otherwise he will be in court trying to demonstrate he didn't mine with them himself or do anything else fraudulent.

he may very well offer full refund because the story could be:

he used the money to generate interest - either get investors or use the money himself to create stuff with - then mine (which will be all his profit) and then just return the money that was loaned to him for free. who knows! that's the problem - we don't know and we definitely don't trust him. he's shown that he is not trustworthy. way to tarnish his own reputation so fast.

The profits of miners ASSEMBLED by the DIY community (not even by yifu!!) was never going to be huge. Still, it would've been some nice little pocket money - sadly I also brought other people in with me to join in on this excitement - as it would be our first "real" mining unit, an asic, previously only obtainable by the rich and the connected, unique and first of its kind made by the people for the people. I wanted to be apart of that! Yifu took that away from us... and left a sour taste behind, the magic is gone. These chips looked like a hope of bitcoin remaining decentralised and for the people, but that dream is dying an ugly angry death.

103 Refunds processed almost immediately after Yifu seemed confused that no one had been refunded.
I guess my question to Yifu would be "why did the 103 not go out earlier and how did you make them go all of a sudden?"
What is really going on that you are unaware of all these things?   A lot of things do not add up here.

If anything, I think that at least demonstrates 'good faith' on his part. Maybe he legitimately believed that the refunds had gone through, and when he found out that they hadn't, he took care of it. That earns him a small amount of credibility back, in my eyes.

Credit where credit is due.

Seems that SOME people are impossible to please. If he hadn't processed it, you'd have used it as evidence that he's a liar. Since he did process it, you want to use it as evidence that he's a liar.  Roll Eyes

I've got as much of an opinion on his professionalism (or lack thereof) as anybody else (see my post a few posts up, if there's any doubt), but come on, don't jump down the guy's throat when he actually comes through and DOES do what he's supposed to.  Roll Eyes
