A few wickets here would have changed the outcome of the match. Again if the 7th and 8th no. players had been able to increase their strike rates they would have easily won the match. The game was excellent for both of the team. I don't want to blame anyone for the performance of the last match. It can be said that luck was not in favor of Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Dhoni has already contributed with his bat. He made 32 from 17 balls against the Rajasthan Royals, which almost enabled Chennai Super Kings to win that match (they lost by a whisker). And Dhoni is not in the team as a specialist batsman. He is the wicket-keeper and captain and in both the roles he has given a splendid performance so far. And since he is batting at no.8, I don't think that a lot is expected from him. Batting responsibility lies with those who are higher up in the order, especially Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devon Conway, Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube.

Was talking about match vs RCB specifically. Aside from wk, captain — he's also considered a master finisher. Yea, he usually bats at 8 but could be changed, no? We all know he bats better than Jadeja, Moeen, Rayudu.

Dhoni has already contributed with his bat. He made 32 from 17 balls against the Rajasthan Royals, which almost enabled Chennai Super Kings to win that match (they lost by a whisker). And Dhoni is not in the team as a specialist batsman. He is the wicket-keeper and captain and in both the roles he has given a splendid performance so far. And since he is batting at no.8, I don't think that a lot is expected from him. Batting responsibility lies with those who are higher up in the order, especially Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devon Conway, Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube.

You can love or hate Mahendra Singh Dhoni. But you can't deny the fact that he is the best captain out of all during this season of the Indian Premier League. It was his tactics which brought the victory to Chennai Super Kings. And trust me, it was not an easy task to defend the target against star batsmen such as Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell. They are some of the best in T20 format. And on the other hand, CSK had some inexperienced bowlers, in the form of Akash Singh, Tushar Deshpande and Matheesha Pathirana. Without MSD, they would have lost the match yesterday.

Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell are going at it against CSK without any breaks and it looks like they will chase down 226 runs as they looks unstoppable and the Chennai bowlers looks really weak to contain the runs and they missed a couple of chances and in situations like these if they are not taking those opportunities then there is no way they are going to put any breaks.

The state of play so far suggests that Royal Challengers Bangalore have a chance to win, but they will probably need 12 runs per over if they want to win this match. On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings bowling is trying to bowl great balls to take wickets of the opposition batsmen.
