I'm in guys, and investing. Love what you're doing. I think with the proper development and time, you've got an amazing idea.

Hope you pull through!

I have a question also based on the bold sentence above.
Is the hybrid tokens will be possible to tradable in another exchanges?
Yes. We are starting with the decentralized ones first.

For running an internet of coins node would one have to be synced with all the blockchains of the HYBRID tokens? Or how will this look like? What kind of compute, memory requirements would a node like this have?
You'll only have to sync the blockchains of the currency/-ies you are hosting as a node. The HYBRIDs exist on the blockchains themselves. For syncing, the weavechain needs to be up-to-date as well. Node specs will be available later, as that will still require testing.

The last date of the crowdfund is June 21st.
Due to administration, we expect the distribution of HYBRIDs to commence in July.

As Dotrego quoted, now I understand why Internet Of Coins have to be successful project. The problem of high fees transactions bitcoin will solve when we can easily swap it to another currency in one platform and send it to the recipient at that moment, and when he received it he can swap it back to bitcoin in that platform. Correct me if I am wrong.

The token is just one of the supported transfer methods to bridge the gap between currently incompatible blockchains.

Hi
Seems like answer of your
question already get covered by responsible person. You
can see that information in later part of my post.
Anyway, lately I'm also
feeling need to be sure about the end date of hybrid on going crowdfund. Is that deadline is 21st or last day of this month?
Very recently
that two possible dates
I'm seeing as crowdsale ends deadline! Would love to be know the exact date?

@qtgwith: Cosmos works with pegged market zones. Internet of Coins aims for direct swaps between blockchains.

@clardalan:
 - Current funding status is 1.5M dollars. This means we have exceeded our initial goal by far, and have started development.
 - The marketcap will be finalized after the 1st of July when the crowdfund ends, any unsold HYBRID will be burned.
 - Tokens will be transferred to owners after July 1st.
 - We will only issue the hybrids that are fully funded.
 - We will be listing on all decentralized exchanges (like Etherdelta, etc.) that work with any of the seven blockchain systems of HYBRID, and are currently also in talks with a centralized exchange to bootstrap liquidity.

The thing that I'm trying to point on, is that why not giving the unsold tokens to the crowdfunders proportional to their investment? I don't know if it's possible or not due to the crowdfunding rules, etc, I'm just sharing my opinion.
Thanks, your opinion sounds weighed Smiley
For transparency, we have chosen to limit the future issue of HYBRIDs on newly supported chaintypes. Dilution of price right now would not make a difference for users, but it would seriously lower the cap on the funding of future chaintypes to be added. So in the best interest of the software to be developed, we will burn the remaining unissued HYBRIDs. We do not want to be overvalued like some 'yet another coin' projects are.

why are there constantly new coins popping up with ICO's?
I know right?! Always perform due diligence and look at what the development team is bringing to the table for actual technological or commercial advances. Don't send your money to projects which don't even have shown a demo, code or worse not even a whitepaper. Be careful, and never donate what you can't miss.

What is so special about this coin, what are the benefits?  Instead of spamming your website and putting out a novel on why your coin is better, have you tried just stating it simply?
The 'coin' is not that interesting at all. The software may be. I'll quote;

A deterministic wallet with built-in decentralized exchange, option to swap your currencies, to earn fees as an exchange in the network, with no 3rd party dependencies including on ourselves. The token is just one of the supported transfer methods to bridge the gap between currently incompatible blockchains.

We don't want to create another exchange institution which slowly pulls income from users for facilitating swaps. Instead, we want to make everyone an exchange and have everybody benefit.

How about the one in your signature? Isn't that new too? Internet of Coins project is not new based on my readings. Just look at the date when this thread started. And development runs for years now.

There are lots of new ICO's popping everywhere, why you missed them? Buttheart of this project? Just respect mate as our project in our signature doesn't seem to have a shady activity in the future.

Just my opinion, but I'm always in favor or more total amount of a coin/token. If you think about it, the crypto world has still a long way to go. Just take a look at bitcoin, even one coin's value is huge, and possibly it will be multiple times higher in the future. The bottom value of the HYBRYD token will be between 1 and 2 $ after the release. In the future, due to the continuous spreading of cryptocurrencies, the value of all tokens will be higher and higher. I prefer smaller valued coins like NEM, those are more user friedly IMO.

Still waiting for a concise explanation on what this is exactly. A decentralized coin that uses 7 block chains?  What?
A deterministic wallet with built-in decentralized exchange, option to swap your currencies, with no 3rd party dependencies including on ourselves. The token is just one of the supported transfer methods to bridge the gap between currently incompatible blockchains.

@qtgwith: Cosmos works with pegged market zones. Internet of Coins aims for direct swaps between blockchains.
So which one is more  advanced?
Each is advanced in their own way. Just like the guys at Interledger and Supernet are building nice tech, each just has a different approach to solving some of the same problems like crossblockchain transfers. Which is why we aim to support their methods and networks as well, as long as an API is available of course.

Why cosmos can collect 240000ETH?
Assumingly, attractive business deals. (You should ask them). We have no corporates step in early, to prevent any commercial motives obfuscating the development goals. We build solely for the evolution of the cryptosphere, which is why we had our publication license hardcoded to open source by registering as a Commons Conservancy project.

Hi
Can you have a look at this article on internet coin-https://www.investitin.com/internet-coins-decentralised-cryptocurrency-exchange/. And let me know if it can be improved?
Hi, the article looks good Smiley

Bitcoin amateur learning by doing
Nice project, already invested. I have a few questions:

What is the current funding status? I see 400k hybrids, does that mean approx 400-700k $ is collected from funders?

What is the cap on this project? I read 7m hybdrid will be released, so is the hybrid the cap or is it some dollar amount?

When will the tokens be transfered to owners?

Will you only generate hybrids that are funded? ie 400k funded = 400k hybrids, or create 1m per blockchain regardless (and keep 600k for yourself?)

Which exchange do you consider for listing?

Thank you for answering!

From lots of investment coming into the project I believe that the project is moving on successfully. When the listing happens can expect the value to increase higher based in the circulation happening between the exchange services and among the investors.

Thanks evok3d! The goal for the project is higher than the minimum for the team, because we want to be able to support enough dev bounties. We expect even more asset systems to arise in the upcoming years, so better to be on the safe side Smiley

By the way guys, I don't know how much you know about byteball. Although it is not using a blockchain but a DAG, on that platform custom assets/tokens can also be made. Could the HYBRID tokens also work on that, or is it too different?
I took a glance at it a while back and it sounded cool, but we'll have to investigate further. We aim to work together with the original creators of platforms as much as possible. It also depends on if dev documentation/wiki is available for API's and what features are still in development for the platform. Remember how Jaxx tried to support Monero but eventually had to come back on it. We wanted to implement Lisk from the get-go, but their SDK was undergoing changes at the moment. (We still intend to, in a later stage). So I'm not going to over promise, but we aim for maximum diversity.

Ow and not all the transactions will have to happen using hybrid assets of course; we aim to let people choose. If the Interledger protocol supports a certain pair as well, you can choose that to your preference. Preferably if the method is published open source of course, to avoid dependencies.

I see all the hype for the coin i saw that you have mentioned you cant control the trading price and stuff so does that mean that you are just going to list it for 1 satoshi on any exchange or gonna have a specific starting price. Also congrats for reaching 1 million in your fundraiser
Thanks! In the crowdfund, donators can sign up their transfer for HYBRIDs at a maximum valuation of $2 a piece at the end of the campaign period. The introduction at exchanges will reflect this history. To note; as stated, this is an experiment and as such carries risk. The final goal is the software itself; to deliver a functional deterministic multiwallet with built-in DEX which allows you to easily bypass centralized exchanges.

The Protocol for the Audience Economy
We've just returned from the Blockchain Expo in Berlin, where we met with founders of other great projects, and have been showing people there what IoC is all about.
Good to hear about the good things happening with the coin,in the website it is said that a total of 377781.09 hybrid have being distributed but i would like to know how much coins in various currencies have being invested in this ICO and i could not find those details in the website, could you link me to that page.
Hi, you can find the donation addresses here: https://internetofcoins.org/en/terms
If you enter them in your favorite blockexplorer, you can check the raised value. In ETH for example: https://etherscan.io/address/0x197A920123DDa17040A065457Ef0c01B28A54045
Thanks buddy for pointing that out to me.So we have so far raised 237.9542674 BTC and over 2,702 Ether,816'839 NXT ,197273 XEM and 3,145 waves,so we have collected close to two million dollars and expecting more investment in coming days.

wow! so happy for you. This is a great achievement, far beyond your expected goal. This should be more than enough to bring about something truly special.
