Well, It seems you are confidently trust cryptocurrency, Just follow your heart, nobody stops you, the higher the risk , the greater chance to earn huge profit, Think twice before you act, Goodluck to your plans, Hoping for your success:)
Yes, that's better as its possibility turn into so wrong. NEVER put all eggs in one basket. Dealing with crypto Investing, its so easy to lose money, you'd think that money would bounce back after your limited days or something but no - all gone. Finally, Investing on your own Sir. Enjoy

This is the motto. Never take excessive risk for this virtual assets. Split your money into smaller fraction by having couple of different coins. This is the best to protect your money and yourself.

Agreed. Following your heart will turn out being one of the most stupid decisions when it comes to investing. That's exactly how most people lose all their money.

Be a bit more logic, diversify, mitigate risk. Don't forget all you gave up to save that money.

Pragmatically speaking, cryptocurrency is still a fragile market and no one should invest 100% of his capital on it. If one really believes in the technology, I would say 50% is already a too aggressive slice but might fit.
Finally, diversify your portfolio as already said, but do it properly. Three coins is far from enough, consider buying at least the top 10. You can weight them based on their market cap, so your portfolio follows the market average movements.

For me, investing all my savings is a high risk, but if you can control that risk you will get more profit, let alone you invest in your bitcoin will be a lot of advantages. Because for me bitcoin is very easy to use for everyone to get more benefits.

All the savings into bitcoin is much risk compared to that of having a diversified savings portfolio. In my personal experience having an diversified savings plan will benefit even when something goes wrong. If entire savings is invested into a single asset the risk is big and profitability will be big, if lucky.

Why do you forget the ripple? It is a potential coin and can rise in the future as I'm writing this article. The value of the ripple is almost $ 5 if you buy the ripple then you have your account x5.

Hello guys! I am planning on investing all my savings (12500$) in cryptocurrency, so I would really like to hear your opinion. My current plan is to split it in to 3 :
-50% bitcoin.
-25% ethereum.
-25% litecoin.

I am investing the money at the next dip.
Please post your opinion guys.

Edit: I should mention that this is for a longtherm hold, about 5-10 years

Sorry for my bad english, but I am better reading it than writing it.. :p

Why don't you consider other good alts too. 25% in LTC seems too much for me.I would have taken 10% from it and would invest in some other good altcoins like Monero, Electroneum, Cardano.
If I were in your position I will add more altcoins, there are a lot of coins in the market and there are coins which are undervalued which might turn your money into millions when it pump. Now, the crypto is getting popular and bigger so even coins that are not yet popular has a chance to pump and we are very lucky if we were able to spot the right coins.
Right, he should consider other altcoins too especially those who had a huge pump. Anyways, he has a good plan already in splitting his savings between those three coins but I think he should consider to leaving some money for emergency purposes. I know that digital currency is becoming a good investment nowadays but we should be wise to not putting our savings into it. The OP should leave some fiat under his care in case something not good happen.

I think you should invest just 20% of your savings to invest in the coins that you splited. you should learn how to trade first and have knowledge about these coins, if not you can lose all you savings.

Based On my personal Bias, Investing all your Life savings in Cryptocurrency is Not a good idea at all, at least not into 3cryptocurrencies. The Cryptospace is Volatile, expect anything to happen. There's no absolute prediction of The Market. So what I would advise you do is put in 75% it not half of it an diversify your investment, do your due Diligence and invest in coins that have got potentials. With these few Things have said, be sure you would reap good profits whether In the Long or Short Run

For me, investing all your savings to 3 cryptocurrencies you have mentioned is not really good idea. Why? because you cannot say what will happen the following days or months if the prices will either go up or down. It is very risky and the rates are flactuating. Also, what if something emergency that might happen in few days or months with your own personal life. Be proactive about uncertainties.
Not all my savings,  because I save for my future so what if I lose everything. So its sorry for my self.  So I just invest just a little bit of percent to try.

@OP congrats for your investment i think in hindsight you could not have done better.

Also i personally do not think litecoin fit into that portfolio, i would diversify more and invest in good tech coins, which are unique.

I think diversifying your investment portfolio a bit more would be better. You should include a few more altcoins in your list like Neo, Waves, Verge, Digibyte and Dogecoin. Some of them for short-term investment and others for long-term.

Investing in cryptocurrency is such a good idea and investing your savings into 3 cryptocurrency is also a good idea. I think it is not good idea to invests all your savings into cryptocurrency. Maybe invest the half and the other half you invest it other than cryptocurrency.

Yes your percentage is quite good when in comes to good coins out there. But for me I will not invest my all of savings because trading is a big risky if you dont know how to hold or trade coins properly. You should learn first and go to the basics first. If I we’re you go to some altcoins because there is many potential out there of coins, just dicover it and it is little to much for litecoin for 25% of your savings. Just add more altcoins to have more and more profits and to discover more altcoins because there is a coins that continuously going up.

So for 5-10 years it is a good planning and you will definitely get good returns on your investment.I would suggest you to add some good coins like ADA and ETN to your list.
