There are times that you just have to try the two options, perhaps the first might be the best for or even sometimes the second.
The market sometimes is unpredictable. You might think of waiting to buy on exchange, but you might encounter a higher price. This has also happened in this year.

I see a lot of people wondering if they should invest in ICO's. I think the best option for any potential investor is to wait until the ICO ends, THEN invest. For instance, Nauticus was an ICO that started back in March. They recently launched their exchange and have been doing pretty good. Prices are only down 30% from the ICO price. That is a GOOD sign, BUT the prices still fell! This was a high quality project that raised $19,000,000. If they're falling a little bit due to the bear market, then you can expect 99% of the other ICO's currently out there to fall as well. It's all going to be dependent on the market, but in terms of risk I think it's better off if you just wait, THEN invest after the product launches. At the end of the day DYOR! It's imperative that you guys understand that we are in a bear market. Even the best projects like Nauticus, Ethereum, Bitcoin, NEO ect are all falling. I would assume that they won't fall forever tho Tongue

I totally agree, nowadays, most successful ICOs, once listed, their price goes down beyond ICO price. That is why I think it is best to invest once your potential coin gets listed in a decent exchange. That way, you can gain more token/coin and save some of your investment money.

if I myself have not been ICO if I want to invest in the ICO, the problem is that most of the tokens prices will go down after the ICO is finished. so if you want to invest in ICO better before the ICO is finished
precisely if you invest before the ICO is finished, chances are you will suffer losses so you have to invest after the ICO because the price is cheaper than when the ICO happened, because I don't think there is an ICO token that exceeds the price before entering the market.

moreover now there are many ICOs that cheat so in my opinion it is safer to invest after the ICO is finished so we know whether ICO is deceiving or not.

I think investing in ico has a lot of benefits because investment at a time when ico is sure to be cheaper and usually a lot of bonuses are given because it is still promising but we have to wait a long time for the ico we buy the listing ..

In these market conditions, The best option to participate in any new ICO after it's listing because we get the coins at the price decided by the market rather than the investing in ICO as mostly new ICO'S are listed below their ICO price from last many months.
If this will be everyone's mentality, then who will be investing in the ICO? Then, there will be no raised funds during ICO, making the ICO to be unsuccessful. Better, invest in ICO and invest more after ICO (considering you are investing in a good project).

Due to the bearish trend of the market and the fact that many ICO are potential scam, its best to invest after the ICO. I've noticed that many tokens get listed far below their ICO price and still gets dumped. To maximise your return, it's better to wait for the bounty hunters to dump the price before packing the tokens.

If you are big investor then you would get big discount as a eaarly investor so afther exchange you have profit thanks to bi discount but if you are general investor then i am not sure.
getting big discount didnt give us any guarantee profit when it listed in market.many traders crazyly selling their tokens/coins cheaply when their asset listing in market.maybe buying on market more profitable and has less risky than joining as private sale contributors.

They have ICO that are good to invest during ICO and some are not and that the good to invest some ICO after the ICO because the price mostly become cheaper.  It's hard to determine what ICO is good to invest and good to invest after ICO but mostly good to invest after ICO.

Investing during ico is of more advantage to the project, while investment after ico is better for investor because they would have eliminated the risk of the project not getting listed on an exchange or the project not reaching soft cap and refund process could be strenuous.

If you pay attention to the fact that today many projects immediately fall after the ICO and sometimes it happens that after some time the projects are getting more expensive, I think it’s time to buy after the ICO, but the question is in bonuses. How much are they willing to give
Already 99.9% of the new token listed in exchange goes down below price of ICO. Therefore waiting until listing can save your money, already some bounty hunters sell 1000 times below ICO price. Of course, it depends on how devs behave after the ICO is successfully completed, ''the main issue is to be 0.1%''.

that is true in the current market. very few projects recover their ico price once listed.
actually, i dont know a single project that significantly rises from their ico price.
most of them suddenly drops once listed. the reason why its hard to raise funds nowadays
Indeed, very few projects can recover and reach the price of ico when it is listed, almost projects always fall many times when compared to price of ico, and that is really the main cause of disappointment for investors, it makes investors feel depressed and want to give up ico, ico is seriously weakening. Even when we invest after ico, the situation and the results we receive are probably not too optimistic when I consider many projects, after it is listed, it only goes down every day and never shows signs of returning, investing before or after ico only creating damage right now

Investing after ICO is definitely much more better that investing during ICO stage. From my point of view there is a big difference between these things.
I don't invest on ICO stage

I also think that many of those who have already learned how to lose or sell useless tokens after the project is over without waiting for growth. Now the tendency to buy ready-made and developing tokens that can really bring a small profit.

both of which I think does not give it great for this time. ICO does not produce a satisfactory investment. even after ICO completed thus getting down and away from the ICO expected value. are required to have an analysis for the selection of the right so that the results of the ICO could be more promising.

In 2017 alot of token pumped after ICO and tradeable on the exchange but after that the price keep down and down to below ICO price, even many token was going down to more than 90% or 1/10 from ICO price. I prefer to buy token after tradeable a few month so i can read the chart and possible to determine support and resistance area.

It depends on the token sales bonus too, indeed investing after ico enters the market will be better, because it avoids the risk of scam. Then what you say is true, the market conditions are not good even the large crypto has decreased in value. The point depends on the crypto market itself and because it is now better to invest after ICO is correct.
besides avoid risk of scam it also avoid us from price dumping.if we buy it on market we will have opportunity to get cheaper price than in ico stages.
